Situated midway between Atlanta and Augusta, Milledgeville is rooted in a rich history, serving as Georgia’s Antebellum Capital from 1803 to 1868. A slew of historic mansions and museums pay homage to Milledgeville’s colorful past while rows of local restaurants, coffee shops, art galleries, boutiques, and antique stores contribute to the small-town character of Downtown Milledgeville.
Milledgeville offers a wide variety of recreational opportunities, including boating on Lake Sinclair, hiking the Bartram Trail, and kayaking and canoeing the Oconee River. Milledgeville is also home to several parks and golf courses, presenting even more options for outdoor activities. Convenient access to U.S. 441 makes getting around from Milledgeville simple.

Property Ratings at West Forty 9
Renter beware: The two story town houses are cute little units that have great potential. They are a bit dated and could use a facelift both inside and out. The problem is with maintenance. If you have any problems do not expect them to be fixed in a timely manner. Do not expect that someone will answer the emergency maintenance number when you call. Do not expect the property manager to be on site during posted office hours. Do not expect management to help you out in case of a major maintenance issue such as your HVAC unit going out. In short, do not expect management to care. Especially since the current management company’s address as listed with the secretary of state’s office is an empty lot. This is a cute out of the way place that has great potential but until management/owners care about the property and its residence it will continue to go downhill.
Do not move here!!!!! Save your energy and most importantly your money!!!!!!!!! The management sucks!! We were move into an infested apartment. First noticing all of the roaches. We called SEVERAL times asking for someone to come out and spray! We kept getting promises that someone would and no one ever did. We ended up bombing our own apartment. What’s the point of management and maintance? Shortly after I begin to get bit by small black bugs that I later found out were bed bugs. I called multiple times about that as well. Two people came out twice telling us we had bed bugs but have not come to spray! This was the worst move of my life and we’ve only been here two months. Do not be fooled! Worst place ever!!!!

I've been living at 49 West for about three years now. I really like it. Its quiet and very low key. I'm on my third year teaching so its is important that I live in a place that is affordable and safe. 49 west is both of those things. Its also very convenient. Mendi the apartment manager is very kind and approachable and she tries to accommodate and you the best she can when there is a maintenance issue or anything else that you possibly need help with.
Great management and perfect living conditions! I Have lived here for a year and never experienced any issues!
I have lived here for a year now and had zero problems. The maintenance staff is very polite and resolves any issues that you have with your residence in a timely manner. Mendi, the apartment manager, is the best at what she does and that`s making sure that you`re stay at 49 West apartments is a great experience.
I've been at 49 West since January '17, and I have no complaints at all. My neighbors and I look out for one another. Any questions that I've had, my property manager responds in a timely manner and always makes sure that everything is okay. The one time maintenance has had to come in, he was very friendly and quick. Definitely give this place 5 stars!
Allison Rule 9/14/16 The management does nothing to assist the tenents with dealing with any issues that arise. My daughter lives there and is constantly forced to listen to the next door neighbor's loud music. There is never any response from the management to either written requests for help with this matter, nor any help on the rare occasions my daughter was able to find an actual living person in office. Instead she is told that they only handle the rent. My husband and I have left messages via phone at the office, but have yet to have a call returned. There is a "Courtesy Officer" who resides at the complex and he was unable to help. Finally the CO had the county police speak to the neighbors...this helped for two days and today the music was blaring by 7:00 am. I have been to visit my daughter several times when the noise level next door was unacceptable. What does it take to get the 49 West Apartment management to resolve this issue? These are not inexpensive apartments and I will certainly advise others to go elsewhere to lease.
