Northeast Athens is a predominately residential neighborhood about two miles northeast of Downtown Athens. Northeast Athens is a great option for students, faculty, and staff since the neighborhood is less than 10 minutes from the University of Georgia, the state’s flagship university. The neighborhood is filled with student housing, but there are other affordable houses, townhouses, and apartments available for rent as well. Northeast Athens also houses several community centers, government offices, and a few small stores. Conveniently, residents don’t have to go far to access more amenities. We have loved living here, when we moved there were several maintenance issues that needed taken care of but Kathy made sure the maintenance guys were quick to come and get those things fixed for us. There also were more fees with rent than we were told so expect for it to cost about $30 more than the listed price per month. Other than that we have enjoyed living here!

It's a nice place.. but rent is way too high, and I don't think it should be going up anymore. I think rent prices should stay consistent, especially for long time tenants

Well I really don’t like how the community don’t offer a play park for the kids. People don’t pick up behind their dogs either some times it smells so bad for me to come out the door… The things I love about the community everyone is friendly for the most part

I have been at GA Green for going on 3 years indeed it’s quite and just renewed my least show that should be self explanatory. There was some changes the did take place that like having the pool for the summer but was not able due to ongoing repairs.

I was very hesitant to write this review because I am autistic and very honest. But here it goes. Pros: -the office and maintenance staff are very good people. This is important when finding a place to live because of the power that landlords have over your living situation. They will make you feel comfortable and they even give you a cute welcoming bag upon move in. -they are very pet friendly(as long as you register and pay the fee of course). This is always a good omen cause people who don’t like pets are not a good sign. There is even a small dog park. There is a 2 pet limit, which is understandable. -they will fix absolutely anything wrong with your apartment in very good timing. Some places don’t care at all. -the water is included in rent and is a set price. This is a true blessing to anyone who loves showers and washing clothes often. -there is lots of closet space for your family, very big considering the size of the apartments -my favorite: they will work with you if you don’t have the best credit or even if your paystubs don’t qualify. You do have to pay the full months rent as a non-refundable deposit, but it is entirely worth it because it will help your credit to rent a place in your name in the long run. Con’s: -the pool seems to be rarely open -the general area, about a mile away from the apartments, is homeless town. They never come as far as the apartments, but it is to be noted that your neighborhood gas station and dollar store are surrounded with them. Personally, it doesn’t bother me because there’s generally no violence in the area, but to each their own. This isn’t the leasing people’s fault at all, it’s just how Athens is nowadays. It’s everywhere. -the rooms aren’t the biggest, but they’re enough. All in all, it’s a great place to stay! I highly recommend.

It’s kind of expensive for the quality you get. The staff is friendly though and they’re usually (usually being the operative word) quick to fix the problems you make them aware of.

Absolutely amazing and quick responses anytime I write or need them. Maintenance request was fast and very reliable and fixed every issue. I went to pick up pool key and they had donuts and have just been absolutely amazing every single step of the way in my living adventure here.

We haven’t had to many issues, the maintenance could be kept up w more tho, esp the pool. The pool never opened last year and we got no reimbursement for it

Moving in was made very easy. The woman at the front office was very helpful. The location is great because it is very close to downtown Athens and not too far from my job. The neighborhood is close to the train tracks but the noise is not too bad.

I’ve been here almost a year and a half and while we haven’t had really any maintenance issues, my biggest gripe is our amenities, especially the pool. It didn’t work at all last year, I know that’s not necessarily managements fault but I feel they could have been a little more on top of it and not wait until summer to try to fix it. We were all hoping to get some kind of reimbursement our substitute in place of the pool but we received nothing.

It’s a place to live. Water is turned off unexpectedly way too often with little to no communication other than apologies. Pool was shut down all summer. Plus side is that the landscaping does get done ever Tuesday and it’s nice to look at. Kids get along with each other from what I can tell. Overall it’s not the best but it’s also not the worst.

1 star. Mold is coming out of every vent, stove barely works, water is shut off at least once a week. Yet they still raise the rent every year.

Our needs are pretty minimal, but on the few occasions that we've contacted the office for maintenance requests they've had the issue resolved super-fast! It's a great community.

The resident experience has been awful but it hasn’t been great. There’s a lot of issues with the water pipes and the water gets turned it seems every week and a half. The pool also wasn’t open at all this summer because they waited til summertime to actually start maintenance on the pool and we weren’t reimbursed for it at all.

When I first got in there were roaches everywhere. All the holes where painted over and the toilet was leaking and the laundry room was leaking.

The grounds are kept well, and the staff is helpful polite and informative. Parking availability is my only complaint, otherwise this is a lovely place to live.

We also send out pool updates through that avenue as well. Effective communication with our residents is essential to us, and we apologize for any lapse in notifying you about the water cut-off. Moving forward, we'll work diligently to improve our communication channels to keep you informed about any maintenance activities that might impact your living experience. Our maintenance team will address the issue immediately to ensure your living space is safe and comfortable. I moved in 3 weeks ago. So far, I’m pretty unimpressed. Maintenance is not done efficiently, the pool didn’t open until a little over a week ago and is now being closed again for 5 days. There are cockroaches in my apartment. It’s unlikely I’ll stay here after my lease is up.

It’s a decent place, units are out of date and the pool still isn’t open. Units are literally falling apart and the management would know if they actually inspected and CLEANED the units before they just put someone else in.

So far it’s been a decent experience. It’s a good location and quiet place that is well-maintained. I would say the only unfortunate things that are the pool has been out of service for a bit and the dog owners don’t pick up after their dogs at the dog park.
