This apartment complex is one of the most awful. Their staff is rude and unprofessional, they have no respect for their tenants. My apartment is awful due to constant water leaks and wholes in the wall.

The only saving grace is the public creek and walk path in the back of this community. The manager and assistant managers are single handedly ruining this community and causing people to move out left and right. They raise the rent to astronomical amounts, the apartments are so small with zero storage, the appliances are all old and falling apart and their only solution is installing other old and used appliances. The floor and carpet fall apart cheap and fake materials. They directly advertise an outside company to split up rent payments and that company has no customer service phone number for when things go wrong and the manager offers no solution to something they are directly advertising to their tenants says and I quote “not our problem” bc of course they get to collect late fees when the company doesn’t pay the rent. They are extremely rude, have absolutely no idea how to talk to their tenants let alone provide solutions for their mistakes and on top of it are now adding in hidden fees and insurance costs even when you already pay for your own insurance. Then they try to gaslight and manipulate the situation and play victim for what they are causing. Multiple tenants including myself have had to contact lawyers. There’s also zero security here no cameras nothing cars get broken into left and right and a lot of times the parking lot lights are off leaving you in pitch black. Terrible management needs to be changed immediately to professionals that actually know what their doing and not just collecting retirement paychecks to sit at a desk all day.

So I was suppose to move in on the 21st. They didn't process my application until the day of then didn't call or email anything. When I called to check the status Tiesha H tells me there are apartments all over basically we dont want you to rent here. Very rude unprofessional....then linda gets on the phone making all the kind of excuses in the world telling me they have to wait til after Christmas after I applied a week in advance!!! They need to fire the whole office staff an get some people who really care
I have lived at Gila Springs for about 6 months now and have had a great experience. I have great neighbors and when walking through the property everyone is welcoming and friendly. I love seeing the kids playing outside and people walking their dogs! You can tell the on site staff works hard to keep the property clean and up to date. The location is very convenient with easy access to the 202 and I-10, and only a couple miles from the 101. I love how close the property is to the lake and the running track just behind the property is a great feature. I would highly recommend giving Gila Springs a look!
I have been at this location for almost a year now and have experienced numerous issues with both the apartment and the staff. To be far let’s start with the pro's. Pros: -Location, walking distance to stores and restaurants, close to 202, I10, and 101. -Maintenance is responsive (see Con's for more info about maintenance) -Plenty of parking Now for the cons: -Maintenance: although they respond quickly to a request they claim they fixed the issue when it is not resolved. This has happened to me multiple times. -The staff will seem friendly at first but any time you have an issue (outside of a maintenance request) they will basically tell you you’re on your own and will change you extra fees to get it resolved. Also don't expect any help around closing time, even if you’re in the middle of a conversation, if that clock hits 5:00 they will kick you out and go home. -Bugs, I keep my place very clean, take out the trash every few days, vacuum, wipe down counter tops after cooking, ect. But even still I have to kill a cockroach in my apartment about once a week. Overall, I would have to discourage anyone form choosing Gila Springs Apartments as their residence.
This is our 2nd time living here and it's been pretty nice. Friendly and caring staff, nice neighbors, maintenance requests are handled quickly too. Kyrene school district is a definite plus if you have kids, and its kid friendly here. I have to say..the staff went above and beyond for us. They even do special things for the residents like having pizza, breakfasts, fun events, etc. It's not super luxurious here, but its clean, well maintained, and quiet. :)
