Framed by Fordham Road and Raleigh Road and extending north toward Little Creek, Meadowmont provides a terrific location in Chapel Hill, just east of Downtown. But this mixed-use community was designed for live-work-play, providing a beautiful mix of single-family, townhomes, and apartment communities woven together with walking paths, lakes, and park space. Residents enjoy easy access to UNC-Chapel Hill, the Raleigh-Durham Airport, the Streets of Southpoint shopping mall, Finley Golf Course, and Duke University (12 miles away).
Meadowmont sits on an estate once owned by the DuBose family. Their family home, built in 1933, is still in the neighborhood and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The house belongs to the university and is used for special events. Meadowmont Village is the neighborhood's main shopping venue, home to a Harris Teeter grocery store as well as restaurants, banks, and shops.

Property Ratings at Glen Lennox Apartments
This review isn’t solely towards management or maintenance but this place is terrible. The only positive about it, is the neighborhood is very peaceful and safe. If I could add pictures of the 7 mice that we killed I would. They were in our closet, kitchen, and bathroom. I saw poop everywhere. I have a 4 month old and we are moving out ASAP!! There is mold growing EVERYWHERE, in our bathroom, the tile in the shower, kitchen, windows, behind our bed, the ceiling. It’s very disturbing that they would continue renting these places to anyone. Thankfully, they are tearing down a few apartments to build newer ones but I feel sorry for the people who currently stay here. There is a roach, ant, and cricket infestation. I can’t mention how many ants and roaches I have seen crawl in our bed!! There are cracks in the walls from poor insulation and the constant humidity in the home. And they overall did a poor job “painting” over internal issues. Our roof has leaked several times. There’s rust in our refrigerator and they painted the stove. Which doesn’t make sense to me but... The ceiling has evident marks of water damage that hasn’t been addressed possibly since the place was built in 1960. Overall, just don’t move here...

I would never never ever recommend anyone living here. This place is so awful. Let me start with the start of the lease. I was not allowed an in person tour because of covid; I asked for a virtual tour of the apartment I was moving into and they never provided one. Communication with the leasing office was incredibly difficult, the lady at the leasing office took forever to respond. When I moved in the sink AND kitchen counter tops were painted! So this makes it absolutely impossible to clean since paint is always chipping off. There was a hole in my kitchen ceiling which had a good amount amount of water that came through when it rained, it took many times to actually get it fixed. The apartment is full of mold, mildew and mustiness, and no matter what we did you can't get rid of it. Cockroaches everywhere, and no matter what you use or spray, they don't go away. The sinks never drain because the apartment is so old. Oh and let me not forget, THERE IS NO HOT WATER HEATER! They never told me this, there is one hot water heater for four apartments, so unless you run your sink for ten minutes, you don't have hot water. The staff at the office, take ages to respond to emails. I would never ever this apartment complex to anyone. The mold issue alone is not worth your health, don't be fooled!

Thank you for your feedback and taking the time to complete a review. We are sorry to learn of your concerns with the leasing process and then the issues with the paint, roof, pests and plumbing in your apartment home. It is always our goal to provide excellent service from start to finish with all of our residents. The COVID-19 Pandemic presented challenges, but we were fortunate to be able to pivot to virtual tours and continue our leasing efforts while still providing service to our existing residents. I am Vanessa, the Property Manager, and if you will reach out to me in the office at 919-967-2005 I would welcome the opportunity to hear more about your leasing experience as well as the maintenance issues you dealt with while a resident. We know your time is valuable and we truly appreciate your insights. I look forward to speaking with you further. Thank you again.
The apartments are rodent and cockroach infested with minimal support from the staff to help with extermination. The rodents are not the reason not to live here. The worst part of living at Glen Lennox is the staff is unable to find rent checks that come in the mail. Then the staff does not inform tenants they are unable to find the rent checks and charge late fees, which were in the mailbox the entire time.
Glen Lennox is one of the most unique properties in the country! Small cottages are great - nobody living above or below you. It's a friendly, safe neighborhood. Good diversity of residents - grad students, families, older folks. Beautiful tree-lined grounds - great for walking. On the busline and convenient to stores, bank, UNC campus. Beautiful hardwood floors in charming cottages have a hint of nostalgia - Glen Lennox has been a part of Chapel Hill since the 1950's. The office staff are especially nice. It feels like home - not an apartment!
