Property Ratings at Glen Oaks Commons
We are facing some challenges with the management at Glenoak Apartments when it comes to basic customer service and maintenance. It's concerning that maintenance tasks are not being done in a timely manner, especially during the winter when top-floor renters have to run their AC to reduce the temperature due to hot air rising from below. Additionally, the issue of smoke and odors from lower-level units seeping into the upstairs through the exhaust vent is certainly unpleasant and not conducive to a family-friendly environment. It may be beneficial to address these concerns with the management to ensure a more comfortable living experience for all residents.
Shared a happening that happened in this property. A friend visited me for 30 minutes and her car was towed because she did not park in the visitor parking. See the picture of the charge. I moved here two months ago and the agent never told me about the parking restrictions and the danger of parking here. I went to ask the property manager to compensate for my loss. She said - why you did not read the contracts? Everything is mentioned in the contracts. She declined to compensate for my loss. She did not even care if I would write reviews and filed complaints with BBB. Another happening- recently a dead squirrel sat on the grass for several days. I had to call twice before someone removed it. So, expect to receive this kind of service from this place.
I lived here for 3 years and would have liked to stay longer except that I got new job in another state. The staff here work really hard to keep this place running. I've always had a good experience with them. I also like that this place is walking distance to a little shopping center (shout out to Hello Tokyo). I'm gonna miss it, I recommend it here cause you can be really close to the city and not have to pay crazy money.

I recently moved in to a completely renovated apartment. Compared to some of the newer more expensive places this one is just as good and less expensive. Lots of room for my furniture and they take pets. The leasing staff is very friendly and helpful.

The apartment is fine. But way this complex manages packages is awful. I ordered stuff from amazon and online stores and they always get stolen and theres not a single camera to prevent it.
If I could, I would give them a 0! Terrible people, especially Melissa who’s a manager and yells at people who are older than her. Such rude staff, only janitors are okay people. They make you sign things and don’t warn you about anything. Our patio was ruined by a lady from 3rd floor, our kitchen flooded multiple times, everything’s old and dirty, smells terrible, bathrooms are disgusting (not even able to clean all the dirt), bugs are EVERYWHERE (especially ants and centipedes). During winter, it’s only 64 degrees Fahrenheit, be careful if you have a young infant. You can’t sleep past 8am because they make noises right by your window. Cars are towed if you don’t park properly, even though you have a sticker, ridiculous. The car is also damaged. I genuinely feel bad for anyone who’s planing to live here. When they show apartments, they show you a completely different thing, and then they put you in a rathole. The price is too much because apartments are old, bad, smell disguising, and appliance in the kitchen is “ancient”. All in all, they aren’t graded with about 1 star and something with no reason. Me and my family should’ve trusted the reviews and some people who live here. Don’t even bother looking at these apartments... Good luck...
Staff don't care about your apartment. They simply do the marketing and let you in. Even before handing over the aprt to you, they don't clean your apartment. Info the staff give is not trust worthy. you'll hear one story each time. Old apartments. Everything is old here. If you have lived in a good apartment before, don't consider this. You'll regret all the days you live here. Kitchen is small but rest of the place is spacious. Good location. Everything accessible. But that's not sufficient to make the living good. Isn't it?
I moved in here about an year ago and even though I did not have any issues I felt like the apartment was overpriced. For a two bedroom apartment, the kitchen was too small. Most of the equipment was old even though I was told that it was an upgraded apartment. Parking is an issue especially if you are coming home late in the night. On the brighter side, there is garbage disposal on each floor and any maintenance fixes are done promptly. Ample number of washer/dryer in each block. Location is good as it is closer to all the major supermarkets and gas stations.
The apartment where I live now the rent is too high and my water to me it's not clean because there's black stuff coming out of the tub and there is a black ring around my toilet even if I clean it after a day or two.. I don't really think the water is sanitary to drink. I do have to say the maintenance people are very friendly and they do come and fix your apartment the right way.
This is a great place to live! It's in a great area with a lot of restaurants and stores nearby. The office staff is very friendly and courteous. The building is well-kept and clean. The complex offers an Olympic style pool, a fitness room, sand volleyball court and tennis court. The office staff also provides a resident appreciation week in August where we get to enjoy free breakfasts, bingo games, volleyball games and the week ends with a pool party and barbeque. They also host Halloween and Christmas parties. It's more than just an apartment complex, it's a community where friendly people live.
I have lived in my current apartment for over 10 years. i love the location and I love our Olympic size pool. Everyone to super friendly and it doesn't even feel like I live in a apartment complex.
My wife, Barbara and I have lived in this complex for over twenty years. We recently moved from a 2 bedroom to a 1 bedroom when the last of our children moved out. There are many reasons why we chose to live here all these years. First of all, the entire administrative staff is superior in handling the smallest to the largest problems in a timely and rapid manner. Usually, if a work order is put in before noon the problem will be addressed and corrected the very same day, The administrative staff is friendly, always going out of their way to meet the needs of each resident. An added plus is the fact that our complex became dog friendly, allowing up to 2 dogs per apt. We hope to be here another 25 years. This truly has been our home!
The management is only interested in collecting money. I have lived in this place for several years, no upgrades has been done but the rent consistently goes up. The carpeting in the hall ways is so dirty old and smelly and needs replacing. The office staff can be rude at times. I am looking to move out of there as soon as I am able to. For the money the charge, I expect better living conditions.
