Property Ratings at Glen Park Apartment Homes
Glen Park has gone extremely downhill since Jorge and his staff have taken over. I've visited and lived in these apartments for 2.5 years and it has only gotten worse over time. Dog poop everywhere, the pool never open even in the summer, the gate always not working making this "gated community" a lie. The new staff is unresponsive, unhelpful, and will make sure to exploit their tenants for all the money they can get. Amenities, appliances, and safety here are a complete joke. Stay away as far as possible, there are so many better options at far better prices.

The staff here at this location is really dope as long as you get to know them. Becca was the agent that helped me with my move in process and it was nothing short of amazing. She is truly an awesome, caring agent. She handled all of our paperwork and kept up with us to make sure we got what we wanted. I cannot brag on her customer service skills and personality enough! As for the complex, just being honest, they say gated community... however the gates are broken more times than not. And they rarely close the exit gate so although a car could not enter, someone could effortlessly walk right in the property. Also, I find that you need to have patience with the staff, because I’ve almost always had to double check on a work order or any other situation that might have been discussed. Overall: If you have patience, can deal with the gates being broken regularly, and don’t mind double checking behind work orders or any other things discussed, then the property is nice and I think you will enjoy.
This place seamed really nice at first. Applying from out of state and was hopeful it would go smoothly. This complex literally ceased all communication after receiving my application fee. When I called to follow up they acted as if I was a nuisance and they were doing me a favor by calling to check on the hold up. Which they never got back to me on. Extremely disappointed and decided to go elsewhere where I was approved immediately. This left a bad taste in my mouth and made me feel as though the next 12 months with them would be a mistake.

They charge more saying a gated community but the gates never work!!! I lost my new car wheels and the management or the corporate office people were so rude and never even felt sorry for my loss. The insurance didn’t cover much and I had to pay 2000$ out of my pocket. The corporate people clearly told that it’s not their responsibility for stolen things in the community and didn’t pay a penny. If so why are they advertising it as a gated community and why there no proper functional gates!! They have same attitude with the maintenance issues as well. Never believe the 5 star ratings, if you go with a maintenance issue to be fixed they ask you for a 5 star to be fixed :( It happened to me as well as many of my neighbors as well. Don’t join this community especially if you have family and kids. Not very safe and well maintained.

This place is absolutely awful and I only lived there for 6 months. The office staff is not knowledgable in anyway. Read EVERY line of your contract...not that you can change anything about it. It seems to me all this complex cares about is their bottom line. This is the worst place I have ever rented from and I would never recommend it. STEER CLEAR OF THIS COMPLEX.

If I could go lower I would. We had some issues trying to get in in regards to something documented that was wrongfully put on our credit. But we were looking to get the 4 bedroom. We were not told that this unit was NOT anything that was in the photos. No granite. No stainless steel. We were given a move in date but poor communication drew this out and we weren't able to get in for 2 days. We had yet to sign the lease int we saw the unit. They had several days with it vacant. And because we weren't signing until we saw it THE DAY my husband went to sign. They were PAINTING. The counter tops. It's reeked of fumes. Doors to closets were not functional. And we were not able to get in that day either. I was very disappointed. Ora offer to show us he 3 bedroom with the upgraded. Features. But we wanted the 4 bedroom and we were never told it wasn't what you saw on their site. Now we decided it was in such bad condition we couldn't move our family here. And yes the 3 bedroom did match the images. We wanted the 4 bedroom. We wanted our deposit back. Not to mention Ora was out for several days wit a sick child but I got no communication from them in the status. This was a HORRIBLE. $300. Beware. Don't have this Experience. They are refusing to refund our $300 back.
Dont be fooled. I have lived here for several years and have seen service slowly degrade. When we first moved in their was an excellent staff at the leasing office and along with that excellent care of the grounds as well as proper management and attentiveness of the tenants. However, a year-1/2 later the staff changed almost completely and with it the property. Here are three key things to know before you move. 1. Repairs and Maintenance. when work is performed at your apartment (example, they need to repair the HVAC or plumbing), the work is for the most part performed VERY poorly. You can definitely expect the job to not be properly done and for the maintenance staff to have to return several times for the same problem. This is not an exaggeration. Another example was the upgrades to the sprinkler system. The community leased out a cheap company who came in and ruined the ceiling without repainting where they had to open up to upgrade and/or exchange the sprinkler system. As previously mentioned, with the previous staff, the property maintenance crew had a tendency to take their job much more seriously. 2. Office customer service. The staff in the main office is rude and short with you. Their is one staff member by the name of Tamica or Tamika who tends to be courteous and attentive. Aside from her you will experience a dry unresponsive staff. 3. Safety. Three years ago, you would rarely find teenagers walking through the parking lot. That is because enforcement was taken seriously and that allowed for them to feel safe as well as the tenants. They would normally be well accompanied and be at the private park at the property. NO LONGER THE CASE!! Every month, an email goes out talking about safety at the property and children and teenagers being outside at all times in the parking lot. Cars are often broken into. This has changed a lot. Folks, Believe me. The proximity to the city, the private park and the nearby supermarkets are not worth this property. Aside from that, there are many other properties on South Cobb that give you all those benefits without the mediocre staff and community negatives. Rent elsewhere.
This is the perfect apartment if you want to have access to the city of Atlanta only 20 minutes away at the same time have the quiet of suburban life in the beautiful Vinings area. Very spacious, gated community, grounds are well maintained and nice gym. However appliances should be updated which would make it even better.
