Property Ratings at Glen Ridge Manor Townhomes and Flats (Indy...
Upon leasing this place, I remember signing what the office lady called a "verification of a crime-free neighborhood," and I can PROMISE you right now, that is the worst lie an agency has ever given me. Maybe a day or two after moving in, cops flooded the road and I couldn't even park my car. Gun shots are heard nearly every single night, followed by screaming and car tires screeching. The parking here is GOD AWFUL, if you don't get back from work early you won't have a place to park, and even if you do get one - it's a half-mile walk to your townhouse! Imagine that with a baby a bunch of groceries. If the living conditions weren't enough to steer someone away, the management should be. I have a toddler, and he is very curious of everything. At one point he broke the blinds in the front of the apartment. I received a call from the leasing office asking me "what happened to your blinds" and I apologized, letting them know my son broke a few of them off and I would replace them as soon as I had the money to do so. I was told BY THE LEASING AGENCY that if I did not fix my blinds soon, it was a lease violation and I could be evicted. FOR MY BLINDS BEING MESSED UP. They told me "we are trying to give tours of the area and it looks very bad on us if your blinds are broken." So that can get you evicted, but not having any AC on move-in-day in the summer is no problem, right guys? Any time I had an issue or question for the leasing agency (this was my first time officially renting an apartment, I was very new to the whole process), I was snapped at. I remember on move in day, sitting in the driveway of the complexes with my large moving truck wedged into the corner; I called the office asking if they needed me to come to the office itself (down the road a ways, few miles or so) or if they were coming to the apartment to give me the keys. Like I said, I was VERY new to this process so it was just a general question for them. I was literally YELLED at by one of the woman working there, she told me "you NEED TO COME to our office and DO YOUR PAPERWORK, GOODBYE" and proceeded to end the call. I remember being in tears a lot on move-in-day because of how much I regretted my choice to move here. One of my neighbors was caught on my camera throwing garbage and old food into my son's tiny swimming pool that was right out front of my door, and this was shortly after we moved in.
Rented me a rodent infested unit with a bad foundation. Repeatedly ignored maintenance requests.
Do not apply to this complex. It is a joke. It's horrendous & a true disappointment. I lived in a mold infested 2bd flat for over a year. I was finally transferred to a 2bd townhome with a failing foundation , leaking roof, roach infested refrigerator, broken, window, windows that didn't fit the frame & disgustingly filthy stove. Many more problems but I don't have enough space to print it all. I was told by maintenance the foundation was no good but all management wanted to do was fill in the cracks in the basement which was just a band aide for the problem, not a solution. State Board Of Health was notified, violations were recorded & management still won't make the repairs. Only one window was replaced & a tarp was placed over the leak in the roof. These people are not what they appear to be & neither is the supervisor from the corporate office. In my opinion these people are not honest & need to be seriously reprimanded for their ACTIONS. This place DOES NOT deserve a star at all but I couldn't submit without a rating! This is the worst complex I have ever lived in. And if any other resident is having any problems like these don't move without a fight.
