Property Ratings at Glenbrook Apartments
I can’t express enough DO NOT MOVE HERE. Extremely overpriced for the quality. I have lived in 4 different apartment complexes and this is by far the worst. They worry about everything except what they need to be worried about. They spend time and money remodeling and landscaping the outside while the inside is outdated. The trash piles up every week and leaves a trail at the dumpster. Bugs are everywhere including breezeways and inside the homes. I’ve never had the problems I have here, elsewhere. There’s no parking EVER and if there is, you have to walk a mile to your unit. There are Karen’s ALL OVER this complex so be aware of that too!

Glenbrook provides solutions to problems within the home and technical failures in your department, of course they do not cover these expenses, they discount it at the end of the month, the office staff tends to be racist towards people of other nationalities, they are derogatory among other characteristics Although They have dog parks in all the green areas of their buildings. It has dog poop. , very unpleasant topic, the entrance to the place is not safe since anyone can enter and its gates are damaged very often throughout the year, they do not have their precautions for the cold and snowy season. Their prices are high due to the lack that they have as a residence. There is never parking and if you pay for a private one, keep in mind that another will take the place you pay for. I lived there for three years and moved very close to a house where I pay the same with more comfort and better services. I do not recommend it.

I lived here from 2021 to 2023 starting, this is the worst management after you leave the apartment, they will charge for making their apartment new, and charges are heavy for minor wear and tear. They charged for all new Blinds approx $400, and cleaning the bathroom, dishwasher, etc approx $200. and the pool band charges $200. They will charge you to renew all the things after you leave the apartment. Be ready to pay after you leave with approx $800 plus. This is insane! I am regretting to stay here. The apartment built quality is very poor. Only the location is good. The pictures are for the minor damages they charged the full amount for a new replacement. If you are moving here then take 1000 pictures and send them to management even a minor marking or dent will be charged to you after you leave. Never come to this apartment or never recommend anyone, please.

Don’t live here. Listen, you’re gonna be tempted because the location is great and the apartments look nice at first glance but just trust me. Here’s a list. 1- I paid to live in a gated community but the gates worked maybe half the time. 2- They towed my car. I had just bought the car less than a week ago and they towed it because I had not updated the information with their office… which was completely closed due to COVID (as were the amenities for months after everything else had reopened). Also apparently now they’ve just decided to not open the office on Sundays. 3- My hot water went out 3x within 6 weeks. They have an emergency maintenance worker that lives over an hour away. The last time it happened, I called the emergency line multiple times and was told someone was on their way but it was 10 hours before anyone showed up. 4- My cat sitter texted me while I was on vacation telling me I had a cockroach problem. I immediately called them and was told I would have to move everything out of all my cabinets, put them on a bed, cover it with a towel, remove my pet, and pay $250 for them to come treat it. I refused saying that my apartment was clean and there was no way I was at fault for this. I had to force them to investigate the cause and surprise, it was a crack in the wall behind my fridge. 5- The cockroaches probably came from the dumpster that is not emptied anywhere near often enough, despite them starting to charge more for trash based on how many people lived in your apartment. 6- I moved out on January 8th. I received my walk through statement dated from January 17th stating all the nitpick things they were charging me for and it showed that I owed them $60ish dollars. Every apartment does this so I was happy to just pay it and move on. 3 weeks later they tell me they have added $220 because they’ve suddenly decided that they need to replace the carpet. They told me that it was brand new right before I moved in so it shouldn’t need to be changed again already (I lived there for almost 3 years. I do have a cat which I paid a couple hundred dollars for his deposit and he never peed anywhere but his litter box). I told them that I have no idea what happened in that apartment in the 3 weeks between me moving out and them deciding to try and charge me more money. This is still an ongoing fight.

Hi there. Due to the anonymity of this review, we are unable to identify you as a resident. Please stop by our office so we can properly address these claims in the most efficient way possible. Thank you and we hope to hear from you promptly.
I recently broke my lease early with Glenbrook due to a lot of issues that have accumulated over my short 6 months that I have had to endure there. Let’s start from the beginning. Due to the poor planning of the initial lay out of the complex, there is very limited parking. Therefore, your guests must park outside of the gate and walk to your apartment/ you come pick them up if you were like me and lived all the way in the back. Also, if you don’t have a parking pass, you will get towed. On my actual first night there, I wasn’t made aware that since I didn’t pay even more than I already am for this place, I can’t park under the awnings. I had gotten home late (like 1 am late) and there was no parking. So, I parked under the awning and left by 6 that same morning (a total of 5 hours). During that 5 hours, parking police must’ve made their rounds because I ended up having a very strongly worded email about how if I do this again, I will be towed. Fast forward two weeks, my mom came to install a security system because the maintenance men love to come in and do random checks whether you ask them or not and I was a 22 year old girl living by herself. I forgot to let my mom know that she couldn’t park under the awning, and I was already risking it for the biscuit by letting her park by me for the short amount of time she would be there. My lovely neighbor who has made sexist comments about me in the parking lot before decided to call a tow company right after my mom pulled up, not even trying to find the owner of the car. The tow truck driver was so nice, while my neighbor literally screamed in my moms face telling her that she should be ASHAMED for parking in his spot. At this point, I was in my lease for 2 weeks and I was ready to go. There have been countless of times where they will enter my apartment without asking, which would set off my alarm. It’s fine that they want to make sure everything is working, but it was communicated from the beginning that I am a night shift nurse and needed communication in advance. And to top this all off, they tried to send me to collections because one of their employees lost my notice or filed it wrong. Please do not rent from here.

Hello. Thank you for the 5-star rating! We work hard to provide a pleasing aesthetic for our residents, so it warms our heart to see our efforts being recognized. If you ever need anything in the future, please don't hesitate to contact us!
Has no care for loyal residents. Do not admit wrongdoing and will not take ownership for treating residents poorly. Absolutely NO LOYALTY! Horrible horrible management

I would love 2 stay here but the reviews tells me one thing that the residents are not friendly.people complain about noise parking ect.Look it's a apartment you going to have noise especially if its pet friendly. I dont have a pet I dont have kids that stay with me and I work during the day so my place wouldn't be noisy but i do get it if someone above me if its noisy.Stop complaining about everything. Matter fact just go buy a house.

Just moved out and feel completely skrewed by them. If you move out you better hire a cleaning company, if you leave a crumb on the floor they are that petty. Every place I’ve moved out from has to be broom swept but they want you to scrub everything down and don’t leave a drip of laundry detergent on the washing machine or they’ll charge for that, completely unreasonable. Very disappointed!!! Spoke to some condescending phoney on the phone. Good luck finding parking at night!!! Only thing nice is the pool!!!

Hi, Lauretta. We are very sorry to see you left our community feeling displeased, as resident satisfaction is our ultimate goal. We understand that you feel you were charged unfairly, and we apologize if any miscommunication took place. Ultimately, all move-out charges are completely based on the condition of the home upon move-out and we’d be happy to go over any charges with you if you give us a call. Thank you.
We have lived at Glenbrook a total of almost 2 years. I'm pretty sure every staff member knows us by sight AND name, and up until this morning, I literally felt like family because they do know us. Last night my husband's vehicle was towed because he forgot to replace his hang tag. Neighbors reported it was VERY loud, and since his car was backed in, they apparently DRUG it out of the space leaving skid marks on the pavement, hence the loud reports. Parking here IS INDESCRIBABLY AWFUL. We both remove our tags while driving because it is a driving distraction. Unfortunately my husband forgot to replace his. So, someone makes a decision to call the towing company WHEN THEY KNOW A CAR BELONGS TO A RESIDENT. The make, model & license plate numbers ARE ON FILE in the office. The community was sold approximately two years ago. I'm not sure if it has changed hands again, but for the couple of months in 2016 that we lived here under the new management, they had cleaned up some things. The grounds had become increasingly dirty and unkempt and there was some improvement there. It was hard to get maintenance to respond to anything, that's improved, but we aren't very needy. We have until the end of June to make our 60-day notice if we decide to move out. We had been discussing it quite a bit lately, and had decided to stay put for one more year, but this towing incident has me seriously rethinking. I'm glad we have the rest of the month to look around. There are alot of nice apartment communities in a close proximity. I don't know if the cost to move is worth it, but the feeling of being disrespected and treated as an insignificant stranger may be worth the expense. I guess if they don't care, then they must feel they can likely find someone to fill my 3-bedroom apartment.
Like many other reviews, we have constantly had noise issues. I have lived at Glenbrook for almost two years and have called to complain about noise at least over eight times, with NOTHING being done. It is in our lease that we will be provided a quiet living environment and all that they told us is that they can do nothing, or that the neighbors complained about us (which can not be true at all considering all I try to do is sleep at home because of my work schedule and all the neighbors do is cause a MASSIVELY amount of noise at all hours). There are many dogs in the complex that are over the weight restriction and the dogs that live above me (there are THREE of them) are extremely loud and nothing was done about that. When we moved in, our apartment wasn’t ready nor was it cleaned so we had to postpone our move in date. The people in the front office are rarely nice or even barely hospitable. I completely understand a noise complaint is a difficult thing to managed, but they have done absolutely nothing and have zero sympathy. The complex also was NOT built for parking, as it can barely house one to two cars per apartment and visitors must park on the outside of the gate, which can be extremely far for some buildings. Lastly, my water pressure is terrible to the point where I can’t even shower in my own shower because it doesn’t clean anyone. The good things are that the apartments are new and we’ve hardly had to have anything fixed (except our dishwasher which we’ve deemed a lost cause, since maintenance has been unable to find the problem). The apartments are beautiful and have nice new appliances, floors, etc. It IS nice that visitors can’t park inside the complex since the tenants need spaces. It is next to everything you need in town- restaurants, Target, Kroger, Chick Fil A, Starbucks, Walgreens, etc.
I was helping my sister move into her apartment but there wasn't much I could do except help set up the kitchen because I have a spinal cord injury from years ago. They wouldn't let me park my car in any one of the many empty spaces in front of the building. They said I had to park outside the gate in front of the office. They told me if I was here for more than ten days then I would have to be added to the lease. I'm not able to walk long distances continuously and her apartment is NOT a short hike to the front gate to get to the office. They said if I wasn't a resident to stay outside the gate. I love Hendersonville and the people I've met are really friendly except for the condescending unfriendly and unwelcoming people that run this apartment complex. If you decide to sign a lease here, make sure you say goodbye to your family and friends because they will NEVER be welcome.
Unless you're on the 3rd floor, you'll be hearing every footstep from your upstairs neighbor & if they have a dog you'll hear every time they scratch (when their foot hits the floor). Our neighbor sounds like he moves furniture constantly throughout the day. If he scoots his chair, plays with his dog or takes a single step we hear it. We can also hear his laundry machine. We've submitted several complaints only to be told there's nothing they can do so we've started to call the police every time. 4 out of every 7 days, there will be a landscaping crew outside with mulchers, mowers & blowers to wake you up around 7a-8a and they don't finish until 5p-6p each day. New neighbor moved in next door and went to work while his dog didn't stop barking for 4 hours straight so we called the police since the management here doesn't care. At least the police finally did something & got in contact with him to make him come home to care for his animal. Later on in the day, I watched as he allowed his dog to crap right next to the front entrance to our building and never clean it up. If you call management to report this, nothing will be done as they don't care. BUGS: this place has little caterpillars that live in the mulch and they will be finding their way into your apartment under the doors & through vents. Having the pest control come in and spray all around your apartment inside and out doesn't stop them. Every single day you'll be finding some dead curled up ones & some living that are still crawling up the walls or on the floor. Upon moving in, we were told we can't have our dog living with us because she is over 35 lbs. so she's had to stay with a family member for the past 6 months yet there are numerous dogs here over that weight. I guess we should've been like every other tenant here and just brought our dog in anyway since the policy isn't enforced & most of the residents don't bother to clean up after their dogs. We have never missed or been late on a single rent payment yet they wanted to increase our rent $50/month to renew a lease (which is already double what it should be for basically a studio apartment with a laundry closet). When we went in to give our 60 day notice, they didn't care about retaining us which showed us that they're very used to the high turnover rate. You would think a company wants to keep its consistent on-time paying customers especially the ones that don't cause issues but that's not the case here.
This apartment complex looks nice from the outside, counters, appliances, floors(the only reason one star is deserved)... But none of that really matters if the walls are no more sound proof than cardboard. Being able to hear our neighbor's alarm at 5 AM everyday in our bedroom or hearing EVERY step and nightly intimate moment from the person living above us and his significant other, or hearing a dog barking for 8 hours a day in an apartment that is on a different floor and doesn't even have any shared walls with our apartment. Zero accountability or assistance with the chainsmoker that lives below us, making it completely impossible to leave our windows open or enjoy our balcony at all. If breaking the lease were less than an entire month's rent, we would be moving out ASAP. Not to mention the numerous large dogs that are definitely over the weight limit, including at least one german shepherd, pit bull, and multiple large labs. Definitely WILL NOT be signing another lease with Glenbrook or Sentinel.
