Property Ratings at Gleneagle Apartment Homes
I applied for a unit here. I called before I applied because of abnormal circumstances I’m currently dealing with. This lady told me everything is fine so I applied. I was denied with no reason why. They were prompt to return texts and calls as well as professionally courteous but kinda shady with the application

I worked at this place a few times and even walked all the units with a prospective corporate buyer last year. I could not believe the amount of black mold in these units. Honestly I'm not sure how these units have not been condemned. Behind the many coats of paint, under the many layers of vinyl floors, interior heater closets and inside the walls lies a horrid wealth of microbial growth. The lower to lower middle class residents with compromised immune systems or infant children could be awarded a pretty penny here with the right council. Surprisingly during our IAQ check we found traces of asbestos. (Which was a deal breaker for the corporation I was employed by). There are remaining asbestos materials in some buildings and others have trace amounts. So..... Me personally, I would pass! I hope this helps at least infants from being subjected to these living conditions.

I was on the fence on renewing, but after I saw how this new team was getting stuff done, and seeing the direction this community is going, I did not want to leave. Maintenance issues are getting better and they have a full team and completing them in a timely manner. The office staff is pretty cool too. Clark and Jazz I know the best. They are awesome and the two new girls Jamie and Jennifer are really sweet. Everyone in the office really cares about the residents out here and it shows every time I walk in the office. They know my name, they ask about personal things I've been going through, and offer guidance if they aren't super busy. Would defiantly recommend Gleneagle to anyone looking for a place to home. These people make it feel like home. Wish I could give it 10 stars!

Been living here with my young family. The 3 bdrm apartments are spacious with large closets, pantries, and lots of kitchen storage. There's also outdoor storage, private patio/balconies to enjoy as well. The staff is friendly, and works well with residents to help them get adequate solutions to their maintenance and living conditions. There are several nice amenities (pool+ gym+ grilling spaces to name a few) to utilize and the property has undergone several renovations & upgrades to keep the complex environment beautiful and safer for residents. The location is almost in the back door to shopping, dining, & recreational experiences of Harbison Blvd/Columbiana & Seven Oaks/Saluda Schoals Parks! It is also located within the highly desired Lexington-Richland 5 school district, of which my children have been excelling. Come check it out!
I have never in my life felt so mistreated and disrespected! I came in the office to get a air filter that was taken out of my townhouse this morning along with being told that the 2 air conditioner units will finally be returned to the upstairs bedroom windows because my air isn’t working properly again this summer. Hours later I came back to my home and felt the humidity and the air quality was at its very lowest. The maintenance guy told me he had to remove the window units from another apartment, I understood that but more then 5 hours later with no air filter with a unit barley working made matters worse. I came to the office asking about my new filter it’s was around 3:45pm. Denise the new manger wanted me to come in her office. I felt more comfortable standing by the door of her office. At that point she asked what was going on with my air unit. I explained the REAL ISSUE and that per a very qualified person “whoever bought that unit brand new didn’t buy the right size for the square footage.” Until that was resolved it will never work correctly. She out right told me that they will not put window units back upstairs, and that I was on my own with that issue. “Buy more fans” She then got upset because I asked when my filter will be replaced. What you have to understand is I already knew I was going to catch hell getting the ac units back in the window so my temperament was real relaxed, I also had a third party coming to investigate it the next day. She threatened to call the police because I asked for a filter. She tried to play the “scared” role.. BEFORE YOU MOVE HERE PLEASE ASK A RESIDENT IN PASSING!!! The truth is in the people that live here!!
The administration is not if it is worse now than before, the manager extremely rude, my last months here have been a ruin, since 2017 I live here and I can assure you that if you move here you will regret for the rest of your life, not worth It's worth paying so much money in an income, the water is very high, you pay monthly for an animal control and never fumigate.

We are so sorry to see your experience with our team hasn't been more positive. We can assure you that our staff is here to help our valued residents get the excellent stay they deserve, and we apologize if your interactions have not reflected the high standard of service that we aim to provide. While we certainly understand your frustrations, we want to assure you that we do extensive research to make sure we are providing our residents with fair rates that are based on current area market values. That said, if you have any questions about your current costs, we would be happy to speak with you directly at the leasing office. We would appreciate the opportunity to improve your time in our community, so please reach out to us in the office and we can discuss your concerns in greater detail. Thank you.
The water bill is now more expensive than my SCEG bill. Since the new management took over I went from $40 a month to $81.99 a month. I’m also being double billed for pest control and trash monthly. Residents are busting leases near me to move and vacant apartments everywhere. Management blames water company. Water company after multiple escalations states the double charges are sent from the complex as they only handle combined billing. I suspect I’m paying water for the vacant units.
I recently moved to St.Andrews Apartments and it has been nothing but amazing! The staff is very welcoming and caring, and the place is beautiful and very affordable. I can say that I am enjoying my stay here.
I was glad to get the townhouse at first, but when I went to sit on the patio, I was ran inside from the putrid odor of pet poop and urine. I wrote to corporate and someone called and said that it would be cleaned......never happened! Before the letter, I complained to office management and was basically told that I was less than a dog! That stinch now comes through AC! Mold in unit. Trash thrown around the complex and is ignored! If you have a hardship, forget about Monument having compassion!
When I first moved here 2 years ago, the neighborhood was good and the office staff was even better. They was timely and prompt with all of my questions and concerns and they appreciated the residents. They changed the office staff about 3 months ago and I dread when the first of the month comes now. The new staff is very unprofessional and they do not care about the residents. They have bad attitudes and they care about taking breaks and eating more than helping the residents out. The neighborhood is still good but every time I turn around, I see more and more people moving out than moving in. I cannot WAIT til my lease is up so I can get out of this place! If you are on the search for a new apartment/town-home, please save yourself the trouble of having to deal with attitudes when your rent is due!
Great friendly employers.... Maintenance isn't the best.
My experience with apartments.com was great and I love my new apartment.
I have lived in St Andrews apartments since November of 2013. The apartment complex does a great deal to build relationships between members. Several times a year, the management hosts events for the entire community where they offer entertainment to bring people together. The management is awesome, and maintenance request are always responded to quickly. Also, the apartment has a quiet policy from 10 pm to 6 am, so that everyone is afforded the opportunity to receive a good sleep. They also provide pest control. The only downsides are the minimal space provided for parking, and the fact that loud noise is allowed until 10 pm. The community events always involve a DJ who plays music very loud until 10 pm, which may not be good for others who have younger children like I do.
So let me start by saying that I have rented apartments basically all my life and I would have to say this is the worst by far. So first they rented me an apartment with a broken AC unit and since day one I have asked the management to fix my broken AC unit. It is now SEVEN months later and they have yet to even come to my door. Now I have taken legal action against them in order to just get my unit fixed. PLEASE save yourself the hassle and DO NOT RENT HERE!
The neighborhood is quiet for the most part but this apartment gets ! star due to the poor professionalism of the management and office staff. If I could rate it a zero I would. Maintenance is lazy and they're an image of the office staff. Just save yourself the headache and go find another place to live that will appreciate you and your business. I've never seen such ignorance and lack of willingness to help from management, They charge to much per month to be so slack, Run away. I moved and will never refer or return
