Property Ratings at Glenmont Forest
Glenmont Forest has great potential, but will never be a good place to live as long as management stays the same. There are issues due to the fact these buildings are old that require you to contact management. Often times instead of keeping you posted, they just don’t respond for weeks. Or we receive an attitude for reaching out when that is managements job. They also make it near impossible to contact them, as they have locked their doors and closed their blinds, and put a partial phone number on Active Building. Either they are understaffed or they aren’t hiring people capable of taking on this property. Living here for only 6 months has cost my partner and I a lot of money, when we’re already barely make enough to make ends meet. The walls are as thin as a wooden door, and if your neighbor walks across the floor you will feel and hear it. Better to skip this place unless you are willing to put up with constant issues.

Poor Management. The property managers are incompetent. In the my apartment there were roaches and mice and loud neighbors. Please don't move to Glenmont Forest Apartments. I will be so elated when my lease is over.

The management does very little about stereos played very late at night- like 1 am. Too bad for residents trying to sleep.

We're sorry to hear about your noise concerns, and we invite you to reach out to info@gradymgt.com so we can learn more. Please include the best method of contact, and we'll be in touch.
I lived there for 17 years. The roaches were bad depending on your neighbors. The mice were bad at times. Before I moved out, the mice chewed through the sub floorings. The kids are trashy and destroy things. The parents don’t do anything about it. The people in the office can either be very nice or be very rude. There have been some rude ones in there. People don’t clean up their dogs. Residents still grill illegally and the office did nothing about it. Trash is left everywhere, especially in the summer.
If you don't mind roaches living with you take a chance on these apartments. They are everywhere in the kitchen washes dishes, in the shower while you get clean, on the bed the sofa the TV you name it they are everywhere. The sad thing is management know it and simply brush it off every single time you complain. I'm sure they're not living in such infestation. Also, issues with the faucet water looks contimated, the toilet is loose from the floor and I've waited 2 weeks for repairing still nothing from management nor maintenance. The roaches are the worse complaint to a point I don't like coming home to cook nor have company it is unbearable. I've only been here for 7 months and regret ever moving here. It is one thing to have the issues but another level when management could care less about what I would like to call home. For the rent amount I pay this is robbery to live under these conditions.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We are sad to hear we dropped the ball in keeping your apartment in top shape. I have shared your concerns with our entire staff and I will be reviewing our community policies, making sure our community interior is always in top shape.
Not sure if the staff wanted to get back at me for not showing enough interest in the apartment or not, but after I left, I looked at a printout handed to me and saw "Amenities: Rehab" listed. I haven't looked back since.
mice /rats, roaches, ants, bed bugs, and something was stolen from my apartment when maintainence came to fix the something. when I informed the office, they claimed there was nothing they could do. rude office people. unnecessary fees. old appliances. Great neighborhood, but not worth it for the price.

Sincerely, Grady Management
I will not recomend Glenmont Forest to anyone. The huge problem is pest: mices, cockroaches, ants All procedures which office management made was not effective. We live here almost for one year and all this problems still with us.
They have mice, roaches and horrible management. Units are bad and repairs take forever. Prices increase every couple months and they have too many useless rules. Horrible place to live.
I live in a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment in Silver Spring, Maryland. The environment is good and the neighbors. The surrounds is filled with grass, trees and the laughter of the children. I would say that where I live is mostly a family environment with a lot of play and laughter. It's close to the metro for me so I can get to work without any driving or long commute.
Nice woodsy location with affordable rents. Kid friendly with playground and pool. Free parking. Close to metro, bus stops and food shopping. Diverse neighborhood. Maintenance can be sketchy-have to be assertive to get services. Friendly and helpful rental office staff.
I have lived in many apartments throughout my life but this one has been my favorite. It's conveniently located near Glenmont Metro station, food shops and a police station only an arms length away. Great for any commuter but plenty of parking for cars as well. You do need a parking pass for yourself as well as for visitors but not at all a hassle to get. Shoppers grocery store is right across the street and open late. And with the police station so nearby, these days it does not hurt to have extra comfort in safety. The only reason I did not chose a 5 is because they do not have washers and dryers in the units which I definitely prefer, however they are located in the buildings which is okay. Overall, great environment, great pricing, and the pool is just a bonus!
Great apartments, very good service from management, clean and bright, most continent to accesses stores and metro.
The staff are accommodating. Well maintained grounds and nice environment. You don't have a problem especially with the maintenance.
Excellent location, Metro Bus, Metro Train at walking distance. Have swimming pool, eye catching trees and well maintained grounds. All are impressive.
The rent is cheap, and the units are clean. Maintenance is responsive and the grounds are well kept. This is walking distance to Glenmont Metro and several bus lines and on a major commercial corridor (Georgia Ave). A major added plus is the VERY green grounds. Tons of trees and open space with several playgrounds and picnic areas.
