Property Ratings at GLENWOOD GARDEN
Presently we are living in Glenwood Garden Apartments for the past 9 months and we like this property and locality. It's very close to Mountain View Downtown, Stevens Creek Trail, and more importantly to my daughter's school(Landels Elementary School). Also, maintenance is good and the property manager Greg is a nice person and he will always try to help.
tldr: We've lived here for almost 3 years, and it's a fantastic place to live, especially given the price. The single most important thing has been a responsive, helpful property manager. Great - Location. We regularly walk around the neighborhood, which is very walkable. Date nights are fun when we walk down to Castro for dinner. When my wife commuted to SF via Caltrain, the location was perfect. - Value. We looked at a lot of places in the area for 2 bedrooms, and this - Property Manager - Greg. The single most valuable thing to our experience here. He is responsive and helps keep everything up to date. For the few maintenance issues, we've had no problem getting things fixed. When we accidentally got locked out of our apartment, he was quick to let us back in, even over the weekend. - Gated community - Amazon packages are never stolen, and packages are still dropped off at your doorstep. There's an extra peace of mind given the gated community. Good - Parking. Never need to stress about when / where to park. Guest parking is exceedingly easy given the ample street parking. - Internet - We upgraded to 200 MBPS for Comcast. Wish there was AT&T gigabit connection, but 200MBPS is good enough for us. - A/C - It's local air, but much better than no A/C, which I know many apartment complexes have! - There's a pool! Especially nice when it's very hot out. Okay (understandable due to price) - Communal washer/dryer. It's a little more of a hassle, but finding an open washer/dryer has been fairly easy, especially during WFH time when you can do laundry during the day. - Smaller Kitchen - The galley style kitchen makes it difficult for more than 1 person to be cooking at a time, we haven't found it to be too bad.
Presently we are living in Glendwood Garden Apartments for the past 6 months and we like this property and locality. Also, maintenance is good and the property manager is a nice person. The only reason to give rating 3 is that we didn't get a move-in bonus 2k which was promised when we took an apartment tour but later denied by saying reason there is no email proof and our unit is not eligible for the move-in bonus. We visited 3 units and all 3 units were eligible for a bonus. Not sure, it was said by mistake but we are 100% sure as we asked a couple of times about the move-in bonus on the tour and that also one important factor on our decision to select Glenwood. Other than my experience with the move-in bonus, we are happy to stay at Glenwood Garden Apartments and would have given 4 stars. I recommend this apartment but please make sure you get email proof or written in lease agreement about a move-in bonus if it is mentioned during the apartment tour.
These apartments ar very nice and walking distance from Downtown Mountain View and park for the kids! I used to live there for 7 years before I moved out of state. Would highly recommend.
