Property Ratings at The Retreat at 5700
This apartment complex is full of mold and there is raw sewage coming out of a pipe on the side of the building straight onto the ground. The don’t answer maintenance request and there communication is terrible. I wouldn’t recommend this place to a stray dog.

The landlord who at first was very kind at first but later started to be rude and hard to communicate with . She tried evict me and my roommates out and claimed we did not pay rent in the months we stayed and tried to charge an extra 5-6 hundred dollars. Wouldn’t allow my roommates and I to see the ledger and didn’t respond to my roommate’s parents. There are several minor issues that were addressed and never resolved from maintenance and they moved out of a building to put us in one that wasn’t fixed up or cleaned

Worst place to live ever. Our apartment has black mold our ceiling was leaking maintenance man came and cut a whole in the ceiling and left it until we moved. He cut it in September we moved in May was told that it wasn’t up on the priority list. Took them three months to fix the AC unit. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone not even the homeless.

This apartment complex is filled with mold… It takes forever for maintenance to come and do anything. The living room leaked to the point the ceiling started caving in. They left a big hole in my ceiling in the dining room and never repaired it. My vents were covered in black mold. The only thing they did were wipe them off instead of fixing the issue. I moved first chance I got
I got a chance to review the property before I move and was very please. And management took very good care of my needs. And was very nice and helpful. Please keep up the good work.
The leasing process was easy. I moved in from out of town so I didn't get to see the property before moving in. While it's not the ritz, I couldn't have expected better for the price. Overall, my apartment is cute, the neighborhood is calm, and the office cares and is quick to address my problems.

Thank you for your review of LIVE Golden Isles! Resident satisfaction is our #1 priority and we are thrilled to hear about your experience at our community!
I originally rented a 2BR townhome for me and my young child after months of homelessness back in 2016. I ended up moving out before my lease was up due to constant issues with mold (I had nearly $1000 in medical bills because of it!), windows that were so old they literally fell out if you tried to open them, a sliding glass back door that never had a secure lock, dry rot and more mold damage around the bathroom and kitchen fixtures, a ceiling light fixture that was cracked at move in and was never replaced, electrical outlets that were missing covers, and missing closet doors that were never installed. Not to mention the paper thin walls, AC never worked well enough to cool upstairs, if your water pipes weren’t breaking the neighbors were which caused even more mold to grow in your apartment, and neighbors were constantly dealing drugs and breaking into apartments. Eight months, numerous unresolved maintenance requests, two property managers, and new ownership later, I decided I’d had enough and told them I would break lease FOR CAUSE under Georgia’s constructive eviction law- and after two more months of the above issues being unresolved, I moved out. I was told that I would not be charged for breaking lease, as I had been beyond patient with staff, had always paid my rent in full and on time, and they had already rented it out before I left. Even the property manager admitted that “apartment should never have been rented” in that condition. I also was told I could leave without penalty by the new property owner, after I showed him a video of all the unattended to issues the apartment had. They were simply too busy trying to renovate vacant units to do anything about fixing the ones that were currently occupied and whose residents were getting sick because of it. Now, after more than a year of moving out without receiving a single phone call, email, snail mail, ANYTHING, I find out they have sent my account over to a collections agency that is now reporting against my credit file even though they can’t seem to validate the account or even tell me what the alleged amount owed is. I never got a move out statement or refund of my security deposit (I didn’t take them to court over it because the filing fees is more than the 3x deposit refund I am entitled to under Georgia law). This property has shady business practices, and is simply not worth your time or effort. STAY AWAY. Oh, and none of the units had W/D hookups when I lived there.

WE'RE UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT! Come by and give us another chance. We've really turned things around since 2018, and we have big plans for 2020! Let us take care of you!
Three bedroom apartments have tiny bedrooms. Maintenance is a joke. Bathrooms are disgusting. Neighbors are loud. Walls are super thin. Peoples homes here are getting broke into. STAY AWAY.
