Property Ratings at Golf Manor Apartments
Please save your money and take your time looking for somewhere to stay! I currently reside here, and I absolutely HATE living here. Management is terrible, mold in bathrooms & hallways have a stent to it and stains on the carpet that's been there for YEARS! I can honestly go on and on about this place. Maintenance takes WEEKS to come fix things and then Andrea (Property Manager) do not communicate when maintenance will be coming out. The price isn't worth it at all. we have until the 2nd to pay rent, or we will get court fees added! most apartment complexes have until the 5th to pay. I am counting down to the days until my lease is up because I am depressed living here because of how terrible they treat the tenents!!! Please save your coins and don't settle at Golf Manor
I wouldn’t move here been living here 4 1/2 years not my best decision. Pool never been opened even before moving here should not be charged for something that will never get fixed. Maintenance is good try they best to fix what Roco will allow. Foundation is horrible around the property walls are thin and bugs lots of different ones in every building. Almost every building has a issue and they don’t care. Property manager tries but really nothing she can do beyond her corporate boss. New lease holders have to pay rent by the 2nd or your considered late and receive a $100 late fee. Mold on the window seems that are also out of date. Floors are thin showering is obscene when more than 1 tenant is in they bathroom and you get burned every time. Save your self the trouble just not worth what they charge.
Save yourself money and hassle by living elsewhere. Property Manager is rude, unprofessional, and is never here. Communication is zero. Apartment buildings have drain flies and have had them for months- everyone in the building I’m in has this issue. They’ll move you into an apartment that has water damage and mold, along with broken appliances. If you have any sort of complaint or issue, you’ll be met with rudeness instead of professionalism and help. Won’t be able to contact corporate either unless you drive out to West Bloomfield. They don’t do transfers, and if you need to stay an extra day or two past your lease- you’ll be charged over 1,000 dollars. Like I said- save yourself the hassle and money. Wish I never moved here. I’ve never missed a single payment, and thought that management would be helpful as far as giving us a pro-rated rent for staying an extra day or so considering I’m pregnant and never missed a payment and just need to move for a two bedroom. But instead have to pay for a whole months rent, plus a $250 fee on top of it. Crazy.
I just have to say since Amanda had taken over the office I have had nothing but GREAT service. When i would go to her for certain concerns they were taken care of like right night. I think she is an asset to this property. KUDOS to her.
Not worth the move better off living in Detroit you can definitely do better too much to many bugs not enough fixing being done
After 2 years I refuse to renew my lease. The management is unresponsive. The pool should not be listed as an amenity as it has never been opened. They told me when I signed my lease summer of 2015 that they just closed it early to remodel it and that it would be open next season - it's 2017 and it's NEVER been opened or even seen anyone working on it. They've gone up on the rent each year and no improvements. The lobby carpet is nasty - only seen an attempt to clean once since I've been here. The common areas are never cleaned. They let the grass grow so high before they decided to cut it - my son could not even play because it was too high. The air condition they advertise is a joke! it's a single unit added sometime after the building was built with ducts added into the walls and ceiling - my unit only has one vent in the corner in the living room, one in vent in the 2 bedrooms. So on 90 degree days forget comfort because the air doesn't cool the apartment and there's no pool to jump in to cool off! This is certainly not a place if you have small children - no play area and when the grass is high there's no place to play. The office is not consistent on being open during office hours and it's very frustrating as the laundry is run by a reloadable card and the machine is only in the office. So even times when I've planned my schedule to get leave work early or arrange for a family or friend to be there to reload my card during office hours, there are times when no one is there, even after waiting outside the office for someone to return! NOT a good situation with a small child and a frequent need to wash. The absolute worse is the weed smoking in the building! After several complaints - still nothing is done - no attempt to even resolve the issue. a few things that are in the lease are no smoking in the buildings and no marijuana at all - and no guest parking in resident area - no of these things are enforced! They control the heat in the winter - the 1st winter 1st they refused to turn the heat on until Oct 15th and it was cold early that year then they decided to replace the boilers in the end of October! It was not a warm MI October but rather bitter cold. They gave one small electric heater! and the heat was off for several days and my son was a baby! I would not even give this place 1 star! Poor maintenance, poor management and false amenities.
I liked it because of its freash look an the location
The property is not gated (there is a gate that divides the property line). The washing machines and dryers in the building haven't worked in over a year. The parking needs to be repaved because it is full of pot holes. The pool was not open in 2014. During the winter we go days without heat because the noisy boiler system stops working and it takes management's maintenance 3+ days to fix it.
