Property Ratings at Governor Mifflin Apartments
Pros: There's a lot of parking, a pool and gym (closed bc of covid) Cons: I got roaches from living here, we found nails upright in the floor, the doorknob fell off the master bedroom, the water main broke not once; but twice, the apartment I lived in had very obviously not been cleaned before we moved in, call boxes break and never get fixed. They refuse to take accountability in their shortcomings, while you shell out money for a wrecked apartment.
Med Students on year-long rotations at Reading Hospital & future students at new Drexel Med campus: they didn't seem to be willing to work with me. By working/learning in the hospital full time, I will not have an income. Even with a cosigner with 3x monthly rent, I was told that was "sketchy" and would have to talk to "regional office." I'll be looking at apartments willing to work with med students at Reading Hospital.
Constant noise at all hours. The smell of marijuana is constant. And dont bother telling the office. Nothing will be done except a letter put on everyones door stating that smoking marijuana is in violation of lease yet nothing ever moves past that. No matter what your complaint, the property manager just shruggs it off. Just to many negatives to even list em all.
They have very bad emergency management. They will shut down water for 6 hours without notice calling it emergency. And this doesn't happen once. They did it thrice in the last 1 month. No responsibility towards the tenants.
We have been living here for almost a year and love our place! I must admit Im highly impresssed with there responses to issues! We had our issue fixed with in an hour, thats very impressive for any apartment complex! From the moment we moved here this truely has felt like home! Very happy:)
Basketball courts but not leveled and missing one court. Cracked streets. No recycling, or not every buolding has a recylcling bin. Rent goes up every year for what, who knows? End up paying 1000 dollars for a one bedroom apt in two or 3 years.
Walls are very thin to the point where you can hear full conversations people are having in walking in the hallway or in the stair well. Also if you live on the first or second floor you can hear every step your upstairs neighbor takes.
