If you love baseball — particularly if you love the Chicago Cubs — there's only one neighborhood for you: Lakeview! Bordering Lake Michigan on the north side of Chicago directly above Lincoln Park, Lakeview houses one of Chicago’s most popular destinations: Wrigley Field. Originally built in 1914 for Federal League’s Chicago Whales, Wrigley Field is one the oldest still-operating stadiums in the MLB. It was renamed Wrigley Field in 1926 by then-owner William Wrigley Jr., a chewing gum manufacturer.
Of course, there's more to Lakeview than baseball. From the luxury high-rise apartments along Lake Shore Drive to the tree-filled streets and single-family homes in Graceland West, there's something for everyone in Lakeview. This large neighborhood consists of several smaller enclaves, including Wrigleyville, Boystown, and North Halsted. Lakeview features several theaters, such as the Music Box Theater and the Playground Theater, as well as music venues and shops.

Property Ratings at Grace Street Towers
8 washers 8 dryers 90% of the time, only 1 or 2 are working. 188 units Do the math Complain til you are blue in the face. Does not change, ever. You will be forced to go to the laundromat out of necessity. Uber cost..laundromat prices…crowds…waiting.
We lived here for 3 years (2017-2020), and had a great experience. The apartment was capacious with a nice view. The best thing about the apartment is the management staff, and they are very professional and prompt in service. During our 3 years stay, we cannot recall any delay in the service whenever we needed. Excellent neighborhood in the city with stone throw distance from the lake, lots of good restaurants and grocery stores at the Broadway St, proximity to the bus stop, Addison red line make this place just perfect.
I have lived at Grace Street Towers (GST) for 12 years. It is truly a great place to live. The apartments are clean, well maintained, very quiet and safe. The pictures shown are very accurate. Wifi, cable and gas are included. You only pay electric. There is an exercise room, laundry, large patio with a BBQ and parking. The community at GST is diverse in age, race, religion, culture, sexual orientation and ability. The building hosts a community breakfast one Sunday a month, as well as several events/celebrations throughout the year for all of the residents. GST really has a community feel to it. The residents and apartment staff are welcoming and enjoyable to interact with. The apartment staff (Chembe, Cristina, Albert, Rajif and Isabel) are the best. They are all onsite Monday through Friday (and many Saturday mornings). They have an open door policy and are always very accommodating, professional and nice. Service requests are taken care of very quickly. In all my years living here I do not think I have ever waited more than a day (usually a few hours) for something to be taken care of/fixed. The management/apartment staff take pride in making GST a great place to live and an enjoyable home for all who live here. The location is perfect. Several bus lines are about a 1 minute walk out the front door and 2 "L" stops (Addison and Sheridan)are just up the street. Whole Foods, Jewel, Treasure Island and Walgreens are all within walking distance. The best part-the beautiful lakefront is right across the street. Breathtaking views and miles of walking, biking and running. Great neighborhood, excellent restaurants, lots of shopping. I highly recommend GST if you are looking for a great apartment.

Thank you for making Grace Street Towers your home. We appreciate the positive review. We thrive on making Grace Street a vibrant community with all we offer. We hope you continue to make this your home.
These are run down old apartments. The carpets are terrible and the kitchens are nasty. Some of the people who live their are nice but it is only a few. The one saving "Grace" is Cristina in the office. She is amazing. If you have any issues make sure you talk to her and ONLY her in the office. If I would not have been in such a hurry to find a place I NEVER would have moved in here. I moved in 4 months ago and can't break my lease.

I've moved in this building recently. And it is perfect place to name it home. Very clean and cozy building. The management is very helpful and highly professional. There are no problem with hot water, noisy neighbors, heating or something else. Location is also perfect: walk distance from the lake, 10 minutes by car to downtown, bus stop and metro station are nearly. I would absolutely recommend Grace street towers for choosing.

Happy New Year and welcome to Grace Street Towers. Thank you for the positive review and choosing to make Grace Street Towers your new home. Communication with our residents is the key to our highly professional management staff. We promise to make this a positive living experience for you.
Not only is the management office great at responding, they were so helpful and accommodating for my move-in. The building is clean, quiet, and the views from my unit are amazing. The AC units, parking deck, cat friendly, outdoor space, laundry room, and included utilities seriously set this building apartment from the rest. It is so quiet in my unit; I cannot hear anyone around me ever. The location is great, right across from the paths next to the lake but still within walking distance to food and shops. I am very happy here and recommend it to anyone!

Hello, Welcome to Grace Street Towers! Moving is always stressful. Our goal is to make sure that we ease that stress 100%. Thank you for a most positive review and we hope you continue to have a wonderful living experience with us.
the apt that I am in now is not sufficient. It is a lot wrong, everything is pretty old from carpet to the blinds, and management want you to clean the 15 year old blinds that are painted, go figure wow, one thing I can say is look over everything before you move in I myself was in such a hurry to leave where I was before, I did not do that.

Hello, We are sorry to hear that your apartment is not sufficient. Our staff strives to make every tenants experience here at Grace Street Towers a positive one. We are always open to re-inspect your apartment and bring it to the standard that is acceptable.
I am living here with my girlfriend at Grace Street Towers in a spacious one bedroom with a great views on the 13th floor. Our views include Wrigley Field, Belmont harbor and skyscrapers including trump tower and the John Hancock building. The management is very helpful, kind and generous. Monthly calendars are emailed to tenants with bus trips, cocktail social days, pizza/ movie nights and the last Sunday of every month FREE BREAKFAST! Comcast cable television with over 150 channels is included in all units which is an extra plus. Parking garage is available for additional fee. Free storage units are also available and can be locked up with your own personal lock. If you are looking for a nice place to live in east lakeview close to montrose beach or a bike ride to north avenue beach this is the place for you. Grocery stores and restaurants are all in walking distance. Street parking is available as well but I suggest the parking garage if you drive everyday. Free fitness center included on second floor. I am very happy with the choice we made and recommend this building to anyone.
