I am currently living of 5th st threw Goldmark. I have been a loyal customer with them since 2012 because of the monopoly they hold on Grand Forks. During my time with them I have had to deal with near break-ins, loss of power, no water, neighbors so unruly and loud upstairs that they bang around and knock out lights in my apartment. All the while Goldmark has done nothing to improve the living standards. I would just love a break, being in the air force I move around a lot. Never have I felt so unappreciated or undervalued. Please Apartments.com, help my future change.

I moved to the United States from Northern Norway August 17th 2013. My first apartment was through the University of North Dakota, a student apartment. Within a few month my boyfriend and I moved in to our very first apartment together, my first real apartment in the United States. We have absolutely loved our life together, but with our apartments we have not been to lucky. Over two years we have leased through Goldmark since they are pretty much the only rental property management service in Grand Forks, and for two years there has been nothing but trouble. Everything from disturbance down the halls, threatening neighbors, near break-in, police surveillance, loss of power/water, kitchen/bathroom leakage and re-accuring ''surprising'' fees. This is currently our second apartment with Goldmark since the near break-in and not a single thing has changed, no matter how much you try to talk to management about your concerns. My boyfriend is currently in the United States Airforce, while I am working on creating my dream of owning a coffee shop. We are planing to move to Austin Texas at the end of January 2016, and have been for months searching for the right apartment that we can call home. We don't wish to have to move again due to threatening neighboors or management, but to find the right apartment that we can actually settle in, to start our new life in.
