Property Ratings at Granada
I have loved living here. The apartments are not the cookie cutter apartments you find in the big box buildings. My neighbors are all nice people. I love the fact I can walk across the street to the grocery store and just another block away from my bank.
I have been renting for the past 6 years and I can say that this is my worst experience by far (even worse than the college apartments I lived in). I wish I would have read into Kleinman more before renting because many of the negative testimonials are accurate. First of all, when I move in I expected the apartment to be clean to a decent standard. However, the bathroom was disgusting (including marks in the toilet and mold in the shower) and the floors were visibly dirty. I didn’t complain as I don’t mind cleaning myself and decided to give Kleiman another chance. However, as my time went on my experience continued to go down hill. To make a long story short: Management is extremely unprofessional, rude and misleading. The property was not well taken care of which is a shame because it has great authentic character. The halls and entry way often smelled and were usually dirty. Doors that were not supposed to be entered were often propped open and this was not addressed in any way even after I approached the property manager about this. There were no security cameras which made me feel uneasy at times. Their system of notification for entry, rent, repairs etc. is extremely outdated. They do so by placing slips of paper under the door. It happened multiple times when I was out of town and was completely unaware that there were strangers in my apartment until I returned. For what I paid in rent, it was not worth it (granted the location is great). If you are considering living at a Kleinman property, save yourself the headache. I will be ending my lease and paying a couple hundred dollars elsewhere in the area to have a clean/secure apartment building, as well as amenities.
This building does a excellent job of maintaining its beautiful character. Any maintenance requests are taken care of in a timely manner. The building provides a few local channels of TV included in rent which is fantastic! They have a beautiful little courtyard which helps make the building feel extra special!
