They will tow your car daily with their new and ridiculous parking/towing regulations. If I have no car, I can't get to work to make money to pay rent or anything else. Pest control...REALLY WHEN!!! Overcharged utilities!!! DON'T COME HERE FOLKS...
This apartment complex should be shut down. The laundry room is filthy, machines don't work at. They are filled with bugs and stagnant water. The apartments are bug ridden and they charege me eveymonth for it and they have never come to spray (been here 6 months) so buy lots of Raid. They don't pick up your trash and charge you for trash pick up as well. They staff is very nonchalant about taking complaints and addressing them. The main office attendant could careless about you or your issues. Go elsewhere if you can!!! I would give no stars if I could.
Disgusting apartments, the foundation of the apartments is horrible. Extremely bad roaches everywhere, out the apartment and inside. They have possums that sit on your door step tearing through trash because the trash people take forever to pick up trash and you pay for trash in your rent. The maintenance is horrible, they half way do the job. Cracks in the walls and around the edges of the apartment because of the terrible foundation so water can get into your apartment and all type of insects. I will never recommend someone to stay here. And the office people are ghetto and very unprofessional. I had to select a rating but in reality they don’t even deserve the one star I had to select. Loud neighbors that’s play music all through the night. The list literally goes on and on.
This place is not even worth a star. I moved here from out of state in July. The first day I moved in I noticed a lot of things that were not of decent quality. Paint job around the whole apartment was rushed. The unit itself is nice, but the place is INFESTED with roaches. I fogged the place approximately 6x between July and September. The bugs are still here. The exterminators have been out a few times. Still, the roaches are still present. Recently, I noticed I now have ants crawiling around and in the tub. So, not only do I have this horrible Roach infestation, but now I have ants as well. I'm currently looking for a new place to move when my lease is up in June. No one should have to live with unwanted bugs in their home. Especially when you have a child(ren) in the home.

If I could rate this place 1 star I would. When we first moved in major bug issue . But if you're a pest control freak like me easy to nip in the bud . But anyway the paint on the walls was gross . They painted over hair and the walls are extremely lumpy . Every other day seems like the power is out of the hot water is cut off for hours with no warning. The girls at the office . The worse . They hate all the tenants I'm sure at least that's what their actions show . Laundry facilities are gross and always preoccupied Even when the clothes are done washing/drying . Moral of the story is its a horrible place treat yourself better you deserve it.
This place is infested with roaches. After they sprayed for 2 months and after getting a pest control company to spray, there are still roaches. All the office people say is we will put you on the list for spraying
All I have to say is, do not rent here. Somehow, the water system is tied together with the neighbors and everytime I shower it goes from hot to cold and back. Staff incredibly unhelpful and maintanance never shows up when they say they are. I wouldn't recommend to anyone, think twice before renting here.
I like the location of my apartments. If you don't have a car, you can walk to the drug store, grocery store, and department store. They are all in walking distance.
The apartment I moved into wasn't maintained at all. The carpets weren't replaced, and weren't even cleaned. My bathtub was chipping paint, and barely usable. There is an AC drain above the middle of the bathtub that drips/leaks nonstop, and has since repainted my bathtub the color of rust. What's more, there's a cluster of pennies stuck in my toilet. When I spoke to the office staff about these issues, they were dismissive and said that the maintenance workers would have found these issues, knowing as well as I do that the apartment company cut corners and didn't do any maintenance. The office staff is incompetent, and occasionally rude. The apartment website doesn't list how much is owed in rent and utilities. You do get a hard copy of the bill, but you'd think they could replicate that information online for your convenience, since they offer online payment options. The fee to use a card to pay for rent is $20, so that's a nonviable option. You can pay by check for a small fee, which is convenient, except that the website isn't even secure. There's no SSL encryption on the page where you enter payment information. Be VERY careful before renting here. Inspect the apartment with double the scrutiny you would normally apply.
I CURRENTLY LIVE HERE I AGREE WITH THE OTHER REVIEW, THEY N E V E R ANSWER THE PHONE AND YOU HAVE TO GO TO THE LEASING OFFICE SEVERAL TIMES TO HAVE SOMETHING FIXED. SINCE I MOVED IN EVERYTHING STARTED TO BRAKE DOWN, SINCE THE APTS ARE OLD AND THE MAINTENANCE IS POOR, I MEAN EVERYTHING, THE A/C, THE TOILET, DIRTY WATER WOULD COME OUT FROM THE SINK! THERE WERE ALSO ROACHES. I STARTED BEING NICE WHEN I ASKED FOR SOMETHING BUT THERE IS A POINT WHERE YOU JUST GET TIRED OF IT! AND IF YOU ARE ONE DAY LATE THEY CHARGE YOU RIDICULOUS FEES , YET YOU HAVE TO WAIT A WEEK TO GET SOMETHING FIXED! HOW IS THAT FAIR?? THE LOCATION IS GREAT. BUT THAT IS THE ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT THIS PLACE, THERE IS ALSO A PROBLEM WITH THE PARKING LOT, I NEVER FIND A SPOT! AND I HAVE TO PARK ON THE STREET. THE MANAGER'S ASSISTANT AND A GIRL CALLED JACKIE ARE SOO RUDE, AVOID THIS PLACE, I AM MOVING OUT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE WHEN MY LEASE IS OVER SINCE THEY DIDNT LET ME GET OUT OF IT EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE SO MANY IRREGULARITIES.
This is a safe and quiet place to live. I've been living here for the past 18 months and I can honestly say that. Now, the one BIG problem is, the office staff, they just won't answer the phone and they just forget to send the maintenance people whenever you have something that needs to be fixed. They do this ALL THE TIME! I find myself having to go 2-3 times every time I need something fixed in my apartment. I wish they could change the staff and then I wouldn't be writing about how bad they are.
I moved into El Gran Sol Apartment in December of 2011. From the moment I moved in, I had a problem with bugs. Within a week, I contacted them to report the problem, and they came in and treated the issue; however, it didn't get rid of the bugs. I contacted them a few more times and requested that they have someone to treat the unit. From December to March I had them to come out consistently because the bugs were still in the unit. It got so bad that I actually went to the store and stocked up on several different bug sprays and traps to attempt to get rid of them. After I could no longer take it, I took a sample of bug to a pest control company, who informed me that the bugs were actually bed bugs. I contacted the leasing office immediately to inform them about the bed bugs. Once they contacted me, they said that they would have to speak with the office manager because it was possible that I would have to be charged for the treatment. I talked to them on Monday to inform them of the issue; however, they didn't have the dwelling treated until the following week. I attempted to stay in the apartment one night, but opted to stay at a hotel after seeing a bed bug crawling up the wall. I stayed in hotels for the entire week; but had to after no longer being able to do that, I went out of state to stay with relatives due to the fact that I had no relatives in the state. As a result I lost my job, and spoke with leasing agents on numerous occasions and was informed that they would have office manager to call me; which never happened. Finally, I found an e-mail address for her; and she informed me that eviction had taken place and that all of my belongings had been removed and disposed of. I literally lost everything except the clothes that I took with me; and they unfortunately showed no compassion towards the situation whatsoever.
When I was looking for apartment to move, I noticed El Gran Sol apartments on my way to drop son at HCC. I met Marta (El Gran Sol staff) at the unit. She was very patient and showed us around the property. The price was very good and apartment was clean and delivered on time as promised. I've lived here now for 4 months and am glad that I made this move to El Gran Sol.
