Northwest Greensboro sits just 10 miles outside the downtown area, but it provides a vastly different view of the city than the streets and suburbs around the city center. With access to Lake Higgins and Lake Brandt, Northwest Greensboro is a scenic setting that’s perfect for anyone who wants to be near urban conveniences, but enjoys the thrill of outdoor adventures and afternoons on the water.
The area of Northwest Greensboro is made up of a number of fantastic, unique neighborhoods and engaging apartment communities. The area’s vibrant outdoor atmosphere is broken up in spots by conveniently located shopping centers, big-box stores, and a few restaurants along the main thoroughfares. Bur-Mil Park provides 250 acres of pristine land set between the lakes to the north, and there are plenty of bike trails along the shores as well. Commuting to the city takes just a few minutes thanks to the interstates that serve the area.

Property Ratings at Grand Summit
This place has gone down hill since Ms.Arlene left. There’s been a shooting , a homeless person living in the parking lot and a car theft in a span of a few months. The new manger is never there , the office is always closed and they just don’t care about anything. But they will make sure to take on late fees asap but not clean up or keep the residents safe. All the reviews are before Ms. Arlene left do not be fooled. Take a tour of this place before signing anything you’ll see how dirty it is for yourself.
Poor management, and understaffed, the manager when we got here was a good person and would answer your calls but would loose track of issues due to staffing, then with no warning the property was bought and management was changed. The Super has only changed our filters once since we got here and if they were informed of the move in issues that we have had then they chose to ignore them. WE POINTED OUT THESE ISSUES ON THE WALKTHROUGH and were told they would be fixed and they never were. There was a step that was falling off the stairs that was poorly patches several times before being properly fixed due to someone being hurt, we had a leak and were left with mold on the walls in our laundry room, told we would be fine. Now we are having to call again, I get it, but I don't trust them to fix stuff with no one around
Convenient to shopping, dining, expressways. They offer a gym membership to Strives. I heard that they will be adding a pool and fitness center to the amenities. My neighbors are great! The maintenance staff is quick to resolve any workorders and the office staff is friendly and helpful!
Lived here for a few years through a couple different management companies. Nobody bothers you unless you need to be bothered, (if you don't pay rent, they will contact you) otherwise it's great. Nice neighbors and convenient to everything. Free gym membership is great. Just wish there was room for the kids to play.
Once the property was bought by Glendale and the new office staff changed, everything went downhill. The office staff is extremely and unbelievably rude and unprofessional. They ignore complaints, charge unnecessary fees and fines, and are unhelpful. I’m not sure why they’re in the business they’re in with the type of attitudes they have. The walls are extremely thin and you can hear the people above you, next door, and in the breezeway. People are constantly playing loud music at all times. I can’t wait to move.
My name is Ms Jackson I’ve been with Grand Summit for almost 3 years and it’s been the best experience, whenever I have an issue it’s taken care of immediately, great communication and great environment and most of all no surprises

Thank you Ms. Jackson. We appreciate you and strive to make your living experience here the best.
The first week and all windows were rained in. I called the office and they knew it was an issue but did not mention it before I signed a lease! They have one maintenance man. I placed a work order in for my sink to be routed a few days ago. Of course it isn’t fixed! The water just sits in the sink. I’m gonna try to get out of my lease!!!

Oh no. I'm so sorry that this has happened. Please contact the office to get this sorted out. We will try everything in our power to get these work orders completed.
Wonderful community. Staff in leasing office is great. Maintence is always timely.
Grand Summit is a great place to live for many reasons. It is a great location, very concerned about meeting your apartment needs in a timely manner and a wonderful office manager!
Great place to live. The office staff is great and very attentive. Small community and quiet. Most noise you'll hear will be either the lawn care team or the sanitation workers. The neighbors have been friendly and no issues with them. Location is great and close to everything you need. Would recommend.
a great place to call "home". The entire staff always greet you with a smile and are very helpful to my needs, and are quick to attend to any problems that arise . The one bedrooms floor plan is nice and spacious, my favorite is large windows in the living room , That’s was sold the place to me ! The grounds are kept clean. I feel welcomed and more importantly I feel safe !
I love my apartment home at grand summit!I moved here in August and I have no complaints! Melissa in the office is great, the maintenance staff is timely with repairs and the quiet and seclusion is perfect for me! I'm glad I chose to move here.
This is my second time living at Grand Summit and I absolutely love it here. I would definitely recommend it to my family and friends. It’s a safe neighborhood, everyone is friendly and the location is great. Melissa is amazing, she goes above and beyond, and she has an amazing personality. I seldom have problems with my apartment and the one time I did, it was fixed immediately. If your looking for a family-friendly, safe and affordable place to live. This is it!!!!
Very prompt with getting things fixed we’ve had a couple of problems that we needed fixed in our apartment they were fixed within 2 days!! Office staff is great!!!
I would recommend you come and check out Grand Summit Apartments! There is new management now. Melissa is very responsive and maintainence responds to your requests quickly. Great location...The apartments are close to shops and schools too.

Thank you so much for your review! We are so glad that you choose to call Grand Summit home!
I lived here for 6 years and I used to love this place when it was owned and operated by Hawethorn. However, it was sold to Southreality and the place went downhill. Management is very slow with maintenance requests and the managers are always changing. It took 4 weeks to get my ceiling fixed when it used to only take a day or two with the other property owners. The parking lot and breezeways are frequently filled with litter. The rent continues to increase while the property continues to decline. Water used to be included in rent but they came and put meters in every apartment and now we pay a water bill in addition to rising rent. It’s not worth the price. I can live somewhere much nicer for the rates they are charging. I plan to move somewhere nicer with better management when my lease ends.
I have been living at Grand Summit since April 2013. The place was great when I first got here, very peaceful maintenance request and grounds keeping was awesome. Now everything has changed, the office staff constantly changes. In the last year alone we had almost 10 different property managers if that's not a red flag I don't know what is. Maintenance staff has changed 4 times since I been here. Now we are run by a new company and honestly they suck. Staff alone has changed at least 3 times and they have only been here about 2 months. The new office staff Jerry although he is very friendly he never returns calls or seems to know anything about how to run this property. I will be leaving as soon as my lease is up. The only pro about the community is we don't have roaches, or mice. Property also has no playground, no pool, no business center. We use to have gym membership until the new owners took that away.
I have lived here since July 12, 2013, and I have no complaints, whatsoever about living here. It is a great apartment complex. It has lovely grounds. Awesome staff members and the residents are awesome as well, because they aren't loud and obnoxious like I have seen and heard at other apartment complexes around here. I also have to say that it is in a great location in Greensboro, because you don't have to drive far to go grocery shopping or to the airport, or mall, or if you are a student at a college, you don't have to drive far to get to college either. It is also close to a 24 hour fast food restaurant and pharmacy, which is a big bonus in my book :) It is pet friendly and if you love to walk, you can feel safe doing so if you want to walk around the parking lot and apartment buildings :) Also you can rent a washer and dryer for $30 a month. Pet rent is $15 for one pet and you are allowed two pets, per apartment. Hope this is helpful :) Christa in apartment 5C
I've lived here for 14 months. It is a very pleasant place to live, as it is very quiet and well kept. The staff is friendly and living conditions are excellent.
