Located just minutes from Downtown Des Moines to the east, with Des Moines University to the west and the parks along the Raccoon River to the south, Haines Park-Owl’s Head Estates is a charming residential neighborhood. This quiet residential area of housing developments, tree-lined streets, and cul-de-sacs maintains a relatively upscale allure among the Des Moines landscape. There’s an even mix of upscale and modern apartment communities, long-standing townhomes, and incredible single-family homes for rent. The downtown area sits just minutes away and offers residents a variety of choices for culture, dining, and nightlife activities. The area’s close proximity to several city-run parks that line the river also provides opportunities for outdoor recreation and family fun. Interstate 235 and Grand Avenue are just a few blocks north, making a commute to Downtown Des Moines or a journey around the rest of the state simple.

Property Ratings at Grand Terrace
Let me start by saying this used to be a decent place to live. Now I have noticed I can’t even find a parking spot most of the time because there are illegally parked cars, there are cars from out of state, there are other cars here that never move for three or four days that are taking up spots and I’m pretty sure that there are people staying here that aren’t on peoples leases that are probably from Chicago. There is a lot of domestic fighting there’s a lot of loud noise in a lot of parties going on late at night next thing you know we will have gunshots and gangs which I’m pretty sure the gangs are already here because it’s obvious when you come in at night at about 9 o’clock at night and hear them 10 doors down with their loud parties and music. The landlord here does not do any checks or even patrol the property I think the cops have been here at least once this past week. I’m to the point where I’m too nervous to live here anymore. I have noticed several vehicles that have not moved for approximately 45 days that are just taking up spots I really wonder if they are stolen and someone just parked them here. Any decent apartment place would definitely make sure that their tenets have parking spots I mean we pay enough money to live in this dive.
Let's start with parking and that is horrible, If you come after 11pm you won't find any parking spot available. You just have to find somewhere, park your car and walk. This place is more for college students (no offense ), you can actually hear everything from outside into your apartment. If you like quite, this place won't be for you. I wish I knew before I moved into here but there's on review found on this place before I moved. People are moving in and out.
