Property Ratings at Grande Pointe
Beware , property is in poor shape at best. Model unit and photos are not an honest representation of the units . Please look at photos posted on web by residents of water damage, rotten wood, bugs and poor workmanship of maintenance staff . This is what you should consider, not what is presented by the management..Their job is to get you into a lease. RUN!!

Hi there. It is never our intention to mislead residents and our team works hard to provide friendly and attentive service across our community. We always encourage people to contact us whenever they notice any problem areas so that we can work on addressing them as soon as possible. We would like to learn more about your experience and discuss how we can address these maintenance concerns, so please reach out to us when you can. Thank you.
Maintenance is hard to get, roads not well maintained. New management in 2022 and hiked rates by 20% without notice. Rates in this app are at least $200 below actual rates
New management and staff have made huge efforts in improving customer service and the quality of life this Community offers! The location and scenery are ideal! Don't let past reviews of prior managemenr deter you from living at Baldwin County's best kept secret! The renovations are outstanding! The quality of life you gain my living here can't be beat!
First off if you want to get ahold of anyone for help, good luck!! Also I have lived here since the 23rd and I Can’t use the WiFi or tv because no body seems to know anything about anything!!! Keep in mine I have been here since the 23rd but I won’t have help until the 2nd of January!!! But I am still having to pay for it haha so nice of them.. On top of that a few days after living there I get a call saying hey your water is going to be shut off for hours.. so that’s always fun.. a few days later I have a small spraying water leak from a high pressured hose on the hot water tank.. so I put a towel around it since it is a very small leak and call the maintenance guy, he did show up fast! BUT when he gets there he decides instead of turning off the water then REMOVING THE HIGH PRESSURE HOSE he wants to flood my apartment instead and the one below us got flooded as well!!!!!! I even mentioned several times that we need to turn off the water first he just had some stuff to say then started back to work.. so now we have 3 HUGE fans that sound like airplane engines and a space heater that keeps our apartment at 85 degrees, so there is no telling what my electric bill is going to be.. So when I ask what we can do about the inconvenience.... she reply’s and tells me that I can make an insurance claim on my insurance if I want????
I’ve lived here for a little over six months and this is what I’d rate this complex based on what has been observed thus far. If I were only rating these apartments based on the staff, it would be a solid 5/5. They are a very friendly and helpful staff. The office girls are always genuinely concerned with correcting any issues you may address with them and maintenance works hard to fix problems within your apartment as soon as possible. While the staff is friendly, the overall improvements being made seem to be poorly prioritized and planned. We’ve been required on three separate days to have pets locked up for contractor and maintenance entry for very random upgrades. Toilet replacement when the toilets show no issues, a newer thermostat in place of an already pretty new thermostat. The toilets replacing the old ones were a different shape and size, so now there is a paint line from when the walls were painted with the old toilets in place and a small section of the vinyl flooring is missing leaving a bare spot on the sub flooring because of the difference in shape between the two toilet bases. The bathroom, laundry area, and kitchen spaces that by code require GFI outlets do not have them. The parking lot is absolutely terrible between the potholes, speed bumps, and awkward hills, it is very hard to stay within the 5 MPH speed limit to leave the complex. The sidewalks in the complex are very inconsistent and random. Many of the sidewalk areas are merely small sections that end abruptly making it very hard to walk your dog or walk around in general. Sure, you can walk around the grassy areas of the apartments but there is a really large issue with that. You must constantly watch where you are stepping because it seems that the majority of dog owners living here refuse to pick up their dogs’ waste. I’ve stepped in dog waste more times than I’d like to think about, and I’ve even seen it left on the ground five feet away from one of the dog stations. I really wish the complex would enforce a fining system for those found to be leaving it on the ground and maybe even have maintenance go around in the mornings to do some groundskeeping. The dog park here is pitiful, one of the main amenities I found appealing and used as a major deciding factor to lease here. It wasn’t constructed and open when I moved in but I was told it wouldn’t be long after. Dog park is disappointing It’s so small that it really only works for dogs under 15 pounds.
Overly priced & very dated apts. The grounds are in bad shape. Recent retaring of the parking ruined our cars. Management never notifies anyone of changes to property work. The water is shut off many hours a day several times a week with no notice. A very aged community in need of more than superficial repairs. The fireplaces have never been serviced or seen by the fire dept in years. People park in fire zones nightly. There is no security on property and the lighting is non existant at night. Very high utility bills in the summer over $200. there is no insulation and the windows leak and are single paned - avoid like the plague. I can’t wait to move.

Thank you for your review! I hate to hear that you had a bad experience. I hope that since you posted this you have seen all of the positive changes that have occurred. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help elevate your lifestyle in the future! Sincerely, Kristin Marshall
New owners need to be aware the new manager is running out solid residents. Over charging on move out expenses. Elevate Grande Pointe for the price is a joke for what your getting. I was never late on rent. And you can get so much more in Daphne.
I've had water damage in my apartment three separate times in the 3 years I've lived here, the first two times took maybe three days tops to have someone come in, do a patch job and call it done. A leak started on March 31st, and they were notified on April 2nd (it was Easter weekend) after I showed them the mold that had grown all over the top of the wall and ceiling last week they came in to remove the sheetrock, only to let it sit exposed and now I've got more mold growing! Save yourself the hassle, the price may look nice, but these apartments and each new set of management they get every year are a nightmare. It never gets better.
My son and I showed up unannounced on a Friday afternoon looking for immediate occupancy (1st military duty station move). This would be his 1st move away from home and out of state. We didn't know the area and I was a worried Mom. The manager didn't have anything coming available, but instead of sending us on our way she took the time to get a guide for us and go through local properties explaining different neighborhoods, if she'd let her own kids live there, called 2 other offices about availability, and even pointed out independently rented places she'd recommend because the maintenance staff was reliable. W/o seeing inside of any apartments we already have a reminder set to start looking for availability here when his lease is up next year. You can tell the grounds are well taken care of and the manager takes a personal interest in the renters. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Thank you so much to tell this story! There are so many things that people can say about a property/staff that are both good and bad, but there is no substitute for simply being a caring person. Angie is a great manager, but a better person! We're so glad that you took a few moments to encourage her. We wish you (and your son) a great stay and hope to see you again soon!
Save your time and money this place is a dump this is coming from an actual resident and not friends of management to make the scores go up yes it is by a lake and shopping but the maintenance and inside of these apartments are ran down the carpet is coming up the wood is rotting the cement is falling apart on the steps the water rattles when you turn the shower on this place needs to be torn down and rebuilt this property switch managers with no warning and the new property manager is a rude woman so don't waste your time at this dump

The management is goes above and beyond to take care of us. We have no plans to move unless we get transferred. I would recommend grande pointe it has been a great experience!

Been living at this complex for the past two years and it's been a good experience. It's quiet and peaceful. The people are nice and friendly and the maintenance team are good and knowledgeable. I recommend it for anyone looking for an affordable apartment in the Daphne area.
I was so ready to move in with my husband and start our lives . I looked everyday until i found this apartment complex. It was a great fit for the size and price we was looking for in this area. Very close to restaurants and entetrainment.
Quiet complex, swimming pool, carwash/vacuum station, surrounding woodland and private lake (no gas motors). If you enjoy peace and quiet and love a beautiful surrounding (fishing included) then this complex is perfect. 1/1, 2/2 and 2/2 townhouses available at reasonable pricing.
