My leasing agent, Isiah, the staff and maintenance were very professional in making sure it was a smooth and great experience to become a resident at Granite Bay Apts. I have not experienced any better experience at any other place I have lived.
The pools here are always disgusting. The water is cloudy and has hair and weird frothy suds always floating in them. The gym is slimy and sticky and musty. The basketball court is hazardous and makes the complex look trashy. The kids are always roaming the parking lots with basketballs because there’s no where else for them to play. Years ago the basketball court was happily used by the kids and adults on summer nights and winter days.. The street has pot holes that have flattened my tires twice!!! It’s embarrassing to live here now
the cabinet doors and drawers fall off, the AC unit will bust, there are nails sticking out on the patio and stripped screw holes, the appliance is nearing it's lifespan. they told us we'd be getting all hardwood — not only was there a carpet, but also fairly old and damaged (steamed it after a week and the water was black). linoleum isn't placed well and the doors fall apart, so your toddler will be able to rip everything up if they have free reign. the front desk lies and are disorganized... i'd make this a last-ditch option.
As an out of state college student, my main priority is to manage/save my money the best i can. I was apartment hunting online since that was my only option and these pictures of the model apartments look nothing like the one i’m in! My apartment is outdated. Because of that, these apartments are way too overpriced and not much comes with them. When i moved in, so many things were broken (stove, window screens, laundry door, locks, screen door), the apartment smelled like a casino and the balcony had a hole on the ground(extremely unsafe!). On top of all that, I got the wrong apartment. I was told i would get a downstairs apt that was cheaper than what i was looking at but i ended up upstairs with the rent being 10 dollars more instead. The staff here are not very comprehensive & will give you a hard time.
We lived here 3 years. First 1 1/2 we're ok. Then suddenly we we're infested with roaches because someone moved in above us from the north side apartments. We had our apartment bombed 5 times in two weeks intervals.we finally got so sick of the nastiness that we moved out. Then we left the apartment so clean. But Granitebay charged us for the warehouse and tear of the spray paint that they used to paint the counter tops. Along with the carpets that their poor work on the installation of carpet trim. They just tacked it down with spots of glue. Naturally it didn't stay. The carpet freyed. Worst apartments I ever lived in.
I moved here a couple of months ago. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend moving here. You definitely do not get what you pay for here. The grounds are always sopping wet from overwatering. People do not clean up after their pets. They don't empty out the trash bins around the property often enough or have enough dog clean up stations. The staff is so difficult to work with, never looking for solutions. Instead, they basically say their hands are tied. Though they advertise a fitness center, only one of three treadmills work, which you are welcome to use, if you can get a key to the gym. It took two months before I could get a key to get access after normal business hours. They have online bill pay, which is great, but you can't pay your rent until the first of the month and it doesn't always take out the correct amount for your monthly rent. On top of it all, I now have roaches in my apartment. I wish I could rate it zero stars!

This apartment complex seems so nice at first, but don't judge a book by its cover! The staff is not knowledgeable about what is going on. Its like no one talks to each other. Maintenance does not handle requests in a timely manner. Upon move out, they were trying to charge for ridiculous things that I had requested to be fixed prior to move out. The office is unaccommodating to any and all circumstances. I would NOT ever recommend this complex to anyone. Vehicles on the facility have been vandalized and broken in to, with no assistance from the office staff. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!
My girlfriend and I had a long list of apartments to look at over a long weekend - but once we reached Granite Bay, we were blown away by Eleana and her wonderful community, and immediately applied. The office staff are some of the most friendly people I've ever met, and they are super transparent about everything. They outline every single expense or fee you will encounter, and make sure you understand everything fully, and are happy with the terms. The apartments (even the un-refurbished ones!) look amazing, and have plenty of room. We absolutely cannot wait to move in!
My family and I have lived here for 3 years. It is a very peaceful community, all my neighbors are fantastic. The office staffed has its on and off days. The maintenance (with the exception of 1) is a joke they come in and temporarily fix the problem til it breaks again! A car had crashed into a building near my home about 2 years ago and it shut down all the outside power around my home. That includes my building and 2 buildings over on either side of us, it took them 9 MONTHS to fix this problem, I would get off of work late at night and be walking home in pitch black darkness. When my neighbors and I complained they only said "We are working on it" the rent is highly overpriced for the apartments, what they claim is "Granite countertops" is definitely not it is painted on to look like granite, "the newly upgraded kitchen" was falling apart 6 months after we moved in, one of their workers broke a piece of our kitchen and when we reported it they tried to make us pay for it. It has been a roller coaster ride since we moved in. DO NOT MOVE HERE!

have lived here 4 years its big and roomy.parking could be better but nice place to live
I have enjoyed living here for the two months I have been here. It is very peaceful, everyone is nice and cordial from the office ti the tenants. They keep the property clean, manicured. They make sure the tenants have something to do. I just recently learned they are have a back to school drive for the children in the apartment complex.
This place is not what i thought it would be. I was moving from out of state and i had only seen pictures. When I got there i cant not believe how small the 2 bedroom was I couldnot even close the door and shower at the same. The kitchen is rusty and the place was just down write dirty.
I have lived here for years . This property has switched hands for the 3rd time in 7 yrs. All have had their issues, however the current company in charge of this place is Failing it's tenants constantly. After dealing with landscapers starting at 6am-7 am and My apartment being infested with roaches for 2 months I'm done. The place has dog dropings all over the north property (which for some reason looks worse than the South side of complex). Try to talk with manager and you get the feeling of nothing will come from this conversation.. So if you like waking up between 6-7 am and having stuff crawl on you at night then this is the place for you.
This apartment community rocks! The location is very close to my work. And the staff is always delighted to help every time I visit the leasing office.
