Rocklin, California sits just 21 miles northeast of Sacramento along I-80. This busy city is more than a suburb -- it is home to Sierra College and William Jessup University. It is filled with shopping plazas, such as the large Blue Oaks Town Center, and a section of Granite Drive is known as "Toy Row." (These toys are for grown-ups -- such as RVs and boats.) Rocklin is directly north of Roseville and residents enjoy easy access to Westfield Galleria at Roseville, providing even more shopping.
You'll enjoy fantastic mountain views when you move to a Rocklin apartment -- the city is surrounded by the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the Sutter-Butte mountain range. Quarry Park features hiking trails and an amphitheater where concerts are often held.
Rocklin has a secret -- the Secret Ravine, that is, which played a large role during the California Gold Rush. Later, Rocklin became a major granite-mining town -- be sure to take some of the Quarry History Tours after moving to Rocklin.

Property Ratings at GRANITE CREEK
We’ve lived here for upwards of six years but are leaving because of the new 2019 landlord and we are aware of other tenants leaving for the same reason. The new landlord is rude and doesn't know how to manage her tenants. She has maintenance vehicles parking in the only guest spots available. She tried to use our assigned spots to store carpet for HER new apartment upward of 4 hours and when we finally moved it we were asked to move our car so the carpenters could use our spot to cut her carpet. On top of that the carpenters fixing up her new apartment worked until 7 or 8 when my mother who is recovering from surgery is trying to sleep. We complained about a water leak over the span of three months before it was fixed and then mold was found and we were forced to live in conditions with hazardous mold and provided no accommodations while days and days passed and maintenance would never show up on time and when they did they would work til late and leave their tools strewn across the hallway to trip over once they were gone. Now we have ants and have gotten them to come in and spray but we're still infested. A parking spot that the previous landlord has allowed us to park at night for years is now hers with no warning but threatening and yelling about towing us with no notification. The rent goes up at-least once a year and this place is not worth what it costs and the management is not worth dealing with. We miss you mindy. We'll be leaving as soon as possible.
Overall, these apartments are nice. There is a pool, and a rarely used exercise center. The apartments themselves are in good condition, with only minor issues. However, the walls are extremely thin. You can hear your neighbor sneeze, hear their phone ring and even vibrate. If you rent a first floor apartment be prepared to hear constant stomping above you. The apartments are very close to Sierra College, which is convenient if you are student. This also means you get to listen to the parties through your thin walls and watch the bass move your furniture. The surrounding area is growing with new restaurants and stores popping up daily.
