Boasting an eclectic local culture that combines the best elements of Midwestern personality and metropolitan sophistication, Minneapolis has built a solid reputation as one of the most interesting and exciting cities in the region, and indeed the entire nation. A vibrant urban center in the land of 10,000 lakes, Minneapolis enjoys well-earned attention for its stress-free atmosphere, great bicycling trails, and culturally diverse population. The city’s robust economy has deep roots, with numerous major companies having operated corporate headquarters in the city for decades (in some cases a century or more). In spite of being a major economic hub, the city is full of surprisingly affordable apartments, condos, and rental homes.
If you live in Downtown, getting around in winter is never a problem thanks to the skyway system.

Property Ratings at Granite Peaks
Lived here October 2022-October 2024. Awful. DO NOT live here. "Smoke Free" building regularly smells of weed and cigarette smoke, management does nothing. Can't send packages here without them being opened and/or stolen, management does nothing. Random people ringing your (very loud) doorbell at all hours of the night to be let in. Door regularly propped open. Had multiple instances where homeless people slept the night in the hallway because building security sucks. Building does not have central AC and other tenants regularly open windows in 85+ degree weather, making it miserable inside. Washing machines smell of cigarette smoke, had to wash elsewhere or risk getting the smell into my clothes. In the two years I've been here, the building has had 3 or more different landlords or management companies, indicating to me it's a problem building everyone just keeps selling off to the next sucker. Seriously, just pay a little more to live somewhere else. The highway access is not worth it to live in this building.
There is a family above me on the third floor they let their children run wild from 6 am every morning until they leave for school an then again right after school child’s play is one thing bouncing basketball an stomping loudly is another. Laundry machines are small smell bad an need Maintenance There are bugs In the halls sometimes on the ceiling Right outside the building I don’t know how they get in There are ones that have come out of the carpet as well an return to the carpet if not killed or vacuumed Roaches mild but not invisible Flies in the hall now in my apartment
We have lived here for 3 years and truly enjoy it. It's a great location and very well maintained! They do updating and make the buildings festive and well taken care of! Management is very responsive and helps out with anything needed. Maintenance is great if anything is needed. It is a great place to call home! Jodi and Brandon
Very quiet complex. It's like a ghost town even though all the apartments are filled. Neighbors are courteous. Management is great at answering and getting back to you in a timely manner. They keep the outside and inside clean at all times! The apartments are modern and updated. Love it here!

Thanks for the review! We are glad to hear you love your home.
I like the area, but the building doesn't have anything. No gym, no swimming pool, no balcony, no elevator. The laundry room sucks, the washer and dryer are used, they don't work all the time and they don't wash good. I'm paying $920 a month 2 bedrooms 1 bathroom, the bathroom is really small, so please ca you guys help. Thanks
Property Manager at Granite Peaks, Responded To This Review
You're right, we are in a great area! It's a central location that is only minutes from DT and near tons of restaurants and shopping. Unfortunately, we are a small community and do not have any extravagant amenities like some places and we have never advertised otherwise. Our washers and dryers are only a few years old and like any other machine or appliance sometimes they may need a little fixing. Have you called the BDS laundry company and put in a work order when they aren't working? If not, the office would be more than happy to call it in as well for you. Just let us know next time it happens. Also, our pricing for our units is very comparable to other complexes in our area. For all the nice updates you get it is well worth it! Thank you for your input.
