Property Ratings at Gravity
The grounds are beautiful, staff is friendly, and amenities are amazing!
Property Manager at Gravity, Responded To This Review
Aw, thanks! Your amazing feedback and rating mean the world to us.
We love the convenience at Gravity, staff are very nice and professional. They will support any issues raised up in a timely manner.
Been a resident here since more than 2 years and its good place in a good location with qualified people in the Office always ready to help. The Amenities and Perks are also so helpful. Easy Maintenance Request posting and are also taken good care.
I love Gravity as a whole. The management team is great and the overall experience living here is pretty cool.
Nice place to live when the fire alarm isn't going off
Community amenities are always broken. Have been since moving in. Also ridiculous to pay over $70 a month for trash when it just piles up in the garage anyway
During my 6 month at Gravity, my experience with maintenance has been horrible.
Do not live here. Area is surrounded by homeless, drug use is out of control, and elevators/ doors are constantly breaking. This complex is not recommended for anybody that works in a zero tolerance environment as you will be exposed to second hand smoke. Stay away.
Great place to live and work. Everybody real respectfull
I rented for 1 month in 2022, I was double charged and have still not been refunded and it is now 2023. I have called many times and I always get the runaround. my guess is ill have to sue in order to get the money back. In addition I also had things stolen out of my vehicle because the security system was turned off. office staff said they saw and followed someone but did not bother to call the police. it is in your best interest to never stay here.
Living at Gravity has been such a great experience so far. I love this community and the location. The features my unit provides are everything me family and I need. The buildings and amenities and kept clean and tidy daily my the maintenance staff. Staff is super helpful & professional.
Overall, Gravity Apt is good, safe and convenient place to live in, but there are some delays when fixing issues and concerns.
I have lived at this complex for a long time. I have also lived in other apartments, and I can say this one is at the bottom. They list the amenities, but most are broke, and the ones that are not broke are just gross. The place is not kept clean. There is trash in the halls. The elevator is not cleaned, and trash is left in it. Security is listed, but the garage gate has been broke and no attempts to repair it. No one checks for vehicle passes, so anyone can enter the garage and cause damage or steal things. Management is more concerned with obtaining new tenants, then trying to keep the current ones happy. I have notified them of issues, but no response. I have been promised things by manager, and the nothing happens. Very disappointed and would not recommend this place. Oh, and the price keeps increasing.
I've rented rooms/apartments in ~5 states, more than a dozen different spots. This is by far the bottom of the list in terms of quality of living (while simultaneously, hilariously, being the most expensive by far at the top of the list). The California Sunshine Tax has reached too far with this crappy complex. Problems: Theft: packages, bicycles, cars, contents of cars. Other crime: check the San Diego crime map. This isn't a great area of the city - plenty of assault/battery/robbery within a half mile radius. Security of the complex: nonexistent. Doors are propped open because the key fob readers are consistently broken. Driveway gates are consistently left open because they're broken. If that's isn't enough for you to look elsewhere, it's also dirty. There was puke in the elevator the other night. Trash juice on the floors. Trash chutes were so overflowing that they brought in a trash concierge (add that to the monthly bill) - now the trash just sits in the hallways, stinking, because people don't follow directions on how to prepare their trash to be accepted by the concierge. Move here. I dare you.
Gravity has a terrible management team. The property manager doesn’t care at all about the satisfaction of the residents she only wishes to lure more people in. Many awful things have happened to me here at Gravity and to my surprise, Greystar could absolutely care less. You will receive no support from the staff at the apartment building, and the corporate office of Greystar will do nothing to help you either. Take a look at the Better Business Bureau review for Greystar, that should tell you everything you need to know.
The living experience here is very pleasant. Although, it takes a while for management to address/fix issues such as the community printer or the mail room door, I do not have complaints. However, it is very pricy, especially for students. Overall, it has been a great experience!
The amenities that are advertised aren’t maintenanced, leaving them broken and non functioning. It’s unfortunate because it could be nice but nothing is fixed or taken care of. Security is promised but practically does nothing. Gate is always broken making the property unsafe and accessible to anyone who desires to enter. Many issues that could be fixed but are overlooked and advertised as working. Hopefully things are changed in the near future, many residents are unhappy with the facility
I love this place as my new home, the amenities and cleanliness of the property is a major reason why we moved in. The helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly staff made it an even easier decision.
The place looks nice and you will get hooked by all the amenities. But the reality is that the tenants here are incredibly loud, disrespectful, unsanitary, rude, and just the worst experience I've ever had with neighbors. And what's worse is that management will do NOTHING to solve it. I have written six letters and called security 19 times on my upstairs neighbors who are up all hours of the night with music and partying, and literally nothing has changed. My anxiety is through the roof and I am sleep deprived. Nobody cares. Do NOT move here under any condition. You will regret it.
Don't let the key fobs, locked doors, security guard, transponders and garage gate fool you. My girlfriend and I moved in during the summer after seeing the brand new complex with all state of the art amenities and being offered a sign on promotion. The interior is wonderful, the apartments are nice, and the staff is friendly. Between the last week in November and last week (7 weeks), we had our storage unit broken into twice and had irreplaceable heirlooms stolen, had things stolen off our porch, missing "delivered" online packages, stolen food deliveries, a car break-in (resulted in $28,000 of merchandise stolen when parked for 1.5 hours during the middle of the day), and a non-resident in resident-only parking crashed into my girlfriend where we found out she was uninsured. Between all of these events, it led us to a constant state of distrust and a feeling of being unsafe in our own home. Between each incident, I spoke with multiple people at the front office that were very kind but seem to be gatekeepers and did not really offer a true solution that would make the community safer. I have lived in 5 different apartment complexes throughout San Diego and never had a single issue until now. We were left no choice but to break our lease in a search for better peace of mind and were punished for doing so. They did reduce the break lease fees but it was still a substantial cost we had to incur and would have never come to this had they been proactive in providing safety solutions to their loyal tenants along the way.
This place is a bit of a racket. Most of the amenities like the game room and the roof deck are so poorly kept up that it is almost embarrassing. Want to play a game of darts with no darts? Or a game of pool on a scuffed table with a broken cue? Or a game of foosball on a table that is so warped it resembles a skate ramp? This is the place for you! Want to go to the roof deck and use the grills or pizza oven? You will have to scrape out the 2-week remains of the previous pizza first. The kegerator they boast about? You can literally never use it. They say it's for "resident events" but I have literally never even heard of one. So you just can't use it. Just sits there. With a keg in it. Unable to be used. Dogs constantly pee in the elevators and people ash their cigarettes in there. Also, they are super scuffed because they don't have a designated moving elevator so everyone just moves their stuff in the normal elevators. They are trying to sell the building to another management company- you would think they would want to keep the place looking nice...
