Property Ratings at Greenbriar Village
I would give a NEGATIVE ?? if I could. The "manager" Kimberly is extremely rude and unprofessional. She did not return our messages or emails and seemed annoyed when we discussed our application status. Despite requesting all application information within 48 hours and taking a $50 application fee, she admitted several days later that she hadn't even looked at the applications or emails. While I understand that Madison apartments are busy with applicants, Kimberly could have informed us if she was overwhelmed and placed us on a waitlist like other apartments did. This would have allowed us to choose whether to apply, look elsewhere, or join a waitlist. Instead, our calls were ignored, and I was even hung up on. I had to call from an unknown number to request a refund of our application fee, as we no longer wanted to proceed. Kimberly and her assistant Jennifer are not the people you want to rent from. If their application process is any indication, I can't imagine how they would handle maintenance issues. Please read reviews before deciding to apply here. I've never left a negative review before, as I usually speak directly to companies about issues, but this experience pushed me beyond that point. I want to warn future renters.
I've lived here for several years, and every year the complex goes downhill, management is not pleasant especially after you get your keys. Also the landscaping never gets taken care of. The hedges have been taken care 1 in 4 years, you can't even sit on the patio because everything is so over grown. Also, there's a infestation of nates due to the trash and recycle shoot . There in the hallways and especially when you open your door they get into your unit. Lastly the amount they raise the rent when your lease is up is way over done. The rent you pay here is not worth living here. There's plenty of other apartments in the area and there new builds. I would advise going that route then living here.
I toured here and the staff was quite unpleasant, not even taking me to the apartment but instead handing me keys and pointing in the direction of the building the model was in. The exteriors look like a prison? Interiors are poorly updated. Unimpressed.
I lived in this complex for 1 year. Something that they did not tell us before we moved in was that tenants can smoke in their apartments. We had downstairs and side neighbors that smoked and so we could never open the windows or balcony. It also smelled of smoke in the hallways and laundry room. We did not have central AC and the box unit that is in the living room didn't cool down anywhere else in the apartment so we ended up sleeping in the living room for multiple months. There are a lot of families with young children who tend to play in the parking lot without supervision. The walls were very thin and we could hear all of our neighbors, even multiple apartments away. We also witnessed a fist fight in the parking lot. The only reason I didn't give it a 1 star review is because the staff was very nice (besides not telling us about smoking) and because it was a cheep place to live for a year.
I lived at Green Briar 2 different times but moved for work . I would give Green Briar 5 stars because I loved my place when I lived there and the management was always helpful and there for my needs. . I felt at home living there and if I ever move back the first place I will go to is Green Briar. The location is great and the pool was nice and relaxing. The apartments are a little out dated but still nice .This is a great place to live.
My house was Robbed on 10/3/16 at around 7.30 pm in the Evening , I live in building 234, My house is facing the woods,. the theif took all 2 laptops, watches, camera ,'CLOTHES' and lot of valuable personal items. for all those who think green briar is safe - NO IT IS NOT, there are Break In's which happen regularly for once every four months (according to cops) .. Most of the ground floor apartments facing the woods were robbed (or atleast attempted to rob),so just be cautious, "call to the leasing office ASAP, and ask them about the theft in building 234", they will give you more details on how to be safe ..and also they should have to check your locks. If your lease is expiring i strongly recommend to moving to a secure community which has more lights and good play area for kid's. I tried to talk with the people in leasing office and they told me that they don't have security cameras , and they can't do anything (WHICH WAS ANSWERED VERY RUDE), I have lost my personal items which are worth around 5000$ . Please share this with all the friends whom you know and live at green briar.
I recently moved into this apartment and am very happy. I initially had several complaints about things that were broken or not working properly and maintainence has been taking care of everything quickly and efficiently. The layout of my apartment is great and the light from the sliding door is awesome!
The apartments here are set up to be a village. The buildings are 3 stories high and offer a pool area. The age of the building I am in dates back as far as the 60's. I feel like I need serious help. I am out of a job now and have no where to turn. I used to work over 50 hours a week. I live in Madison and the cost of living is outrageous. Most people here either are really lucky or live with someone to split costs. If I won I would be blessed.
This apartment is completely worth moving a little further away from the center of the city. It's welcoming to young adults, families, and older citizens. There are "regular" and "luxery" options, so you can find an apartment to fit your budget. Everyone gets to use the beautiful pool, work out facility, tennis courts, and volleyball nets. Work-orders are completed very quickly and the staff are friendly. The neighborhood is full of big trees and nearby parks!
