Property Ratings at Greenbush Terrace
Greenbush Terrace is an unprofessional company - AVOID! We were repeatedly pushed by this apartment complex to make an appointment yesterday for 4:30 PM. They kept insisting the weekend before to come in for an appointment which we took time off from work, so we drove from over an hour away to see (which they knew as well). We confirmed 4 hours before that the appointment for 4:30 PM only to be told 20 minutes before 4:30 PM it was cancelled b/c "Our agent had a calendar conflict today at 4:30pm for Greenbush Terrace." They couldn't tell us this hours or the days before? They have/had zero professional courtesy. If you scroll down this page, you can also see that the company seems to have this recurring problem, so I am glad I avoided this place! There appeared indifferent for pushing us for an appointment, cancelling 20 minutes before, and provided an insincere apology. From what we've experienced, they genuinely don't care if they waste your time at your expense, and will give excuses for their behavior. I would be skeptical of any promises, and claims made here. Customer service is not important here, and applicants are clearly not valued. I'm sure the company will write a cliched response on how it's sorry. Our credit is excellent, and we have a combined income over 6 figures, own property, etc. and are 'model tenants.' Overall, you would better be served with a company that doesn't treat prospective residents as disposable, that are far more courteous, and professional.
Love living here luxury, open concept beautiful apartments. The office manager Dawn, and her maintenance staff are exceptional. The neighbors are friendly. Landscaping and grounds are well groomed and clean. Pets are allowed and owners are responsibly clean up after them. I would highly recommend this community of senior living.
It was finally time to downsize to care free/maintenance free apartment living. It was something I dreamed of for decades, but family obligations prevented it from happening. I knew me, I wasn't the type to move from place to place. When it was time, it had to be the "perfect" location for "me". I searched a vast portion of the capital Region for the perfect fit. I toured numerous properties throughout the Region and met with various property managers; all within a 3 year time span. My family roots were in Troy and my profession in Schenectady. Therefore, my choice in destination could have been centrally located to a favorite region. My heart and soul will always be my home base and it's surrounding area. The first time I drove by and glanced at Greenbush Terrace, it immediately drew me in. The warm and inviting environment, although fairly new; was full of character and serene. The gazebo, the pond and fountain, the brick character buildings; such a "homey" feel. It was unlike any apartment complex in the Capital Region. I immediately researched and was amazed at the inside floor plan. On my FIRST tour, "Dawn" the Property Manager, was so enthusiastic and eager to show me her community apartments. Dawns personality was infectious, another rare find in property managers. To say I was stunned by the upstairs apartments, is an understatement. I LOVE to decorate, so when I walked in and saw cathedral high ceilings and a large pillar in the center, that was it! I found "ME"!! I made it my home, my sanctuary and my escape to the mountains of Vermont, a Victorian/Rustic Inn. My version! Dawn has been nothing but gracious and accommodating. If I have any maintenance issues whatsoever, I merely send an e-mail, and the next day I either get a response from Dawn or a phone call from maintenance. And the guys are a great crew! They're so personable, fun and equally as accommodating to my schedule. OR, I make arrangements and they leave a flyer on the door and a note listing what work was completed. I've never been happier honestly, my dream came true at the Terrace!
I have been renting for over two years here and what a surprise when my rent was raised after only six months. We rented here because it is a 55 community, but now there are younger people living here with no regard for the signed leases. Office hours are NOT what published. Service requests may go months before taken care of.Two weeks ago the water main on the property ruptured at 10:30 PM Saturday evening and a crew did not come to fix it until 10:00 Sunday morning. Unacceptable since the property is not that old and the water main broke due to poor planning and administration. We were without water for almost 24 hours. When I asked the administration what compensation the renters would receive for the inconvenience, I was told nothing. My sister, renting an entire home in NC, I understand the difference in cost of living, had her refrigerator quit and the landlord replaced it within 4 hours on a Saturday morning. Upon leaving he handed her a $100 bill for her inconvenience. The Solomon Group cares nothing about the renters except the money they receive. Rent at your own risk!!!
