Property Ratings at Greenlyn Apartments
I have mixed feelings but overall would recommend it here, with a few reservations. Let me just say that the manager Tracy is phenomenal and very attentive. she knows residents by name and I’ve never seen her lose her professionalism, even when someone is being ridiculous. The maintenance man Milton is so kind and does what he can to help fix issues. In general, the complex is quiet outside..I come home late often like 2, 3 am and I don’t see people outside loitering. I mean we live in Baltimore city (aka weed) and stuff happens but nothing crazy. I have two loud neighbors which sucks sometimes. There are different types of ppl who live here.. blue collar workers who keep to themselves, some .. colorful people for lack of a better phrase, familes with lots of cute kids, some doctors and nurses who work at the hospital across the street. A good mix. Great location.. no stores in walking distance but close to 83. The places have hardwood floors which is a plus. The apartments are spacious yet cozy, and have so much closet space! The hallways are dim and dingy, need renovating and only cleaned once a week. :/ Parking is good if you live in a lot. Downsides . It’s not the newest complex and you don’t get much (prices are good tho). No washer dryer (there are two laundry rooms but they are gross to me and I never use them), no fitness center, no pool, no community event center. It’s very basic but it definitely has what is needed. Needs more staff. They do their best but one maintenance man means long wait times sometimes. Snow removal is almost nonexistent. They have contractors who r nice though. There is definitely a pest problem in many of the buildings. My unit has a lot of steel wool and that yellow foam stuff to keep mice out. It works because I haven’t seen any mice but others definitely do. My building has a roach problem despite extermination for years. It used to be about 10 daily but now I see between 2-10 a month. I’ll prob move soon but it has served it’s purpose. Basic and decent is how I’d describe it . Again .. very nice office staff and overall nice residents who just want to live comfortably. If you literally just need somewhere to live and have it be relatively decent , not need a whole lot of luxury , dont mind a few pests, want and a good price.. this is your place.
