Property Ratings at Greens at Hollymead
They increased my rent multiple times, including in the middle of a pandemic. I applied for rent assistance to pay off my rent owed and they refused to fill out the move out form even though the Rent Relief Program was willing to pay the balance. They are being uncooperative.
The staff have been great and welcoming! We love the location and it is convenient to the local schools close by. The apartment is spacious and up to date!
Everything between the staff and the apartments themselves have been amazing. They are clean and well kept, perfect size for whatever you’re looking for, quiet, tons of walking trails for miles and nice surrounding neighborhoods. Can’t say I’ve found a single thing to complain out and since moving here our husband and I have been extremely happy.
The gym is open 24/7. The front office lady megan is awesome always responds to me quick. If i have any issues with a maintenance problem she gets it done. Very kind people in front office. Also its a very quiet neighborhood and very safe. The neighbors are so nice. I have a washer and dryer in my apartment a fire place which was one of my reason moving here was the fire place. Its comes in handy when its chilly. I would refer anyone here.
My wife and I signed a lease on an apartment here shortly after getting engaged and we love the property, community, and property managers. The staff are very responsive to email and took care of any maintenance requests and questions we had. The community is great for families and young people. We cannot recommend this place enough.
This is my second time renting at the Greens and have loved it both times. There are amazing walking trails, it's a beautiful area, kid friendly and quie. The staff is very friendly, responds quickly and any time I've needed matience they have been here in a timely manner and have fixed the issue. I highly recommend the Greens to anyone looking for an apartment in this area!
We lived here for almost three years. We moved here because Hollymead elementary school is very close to this property and we wanted to send our child to this school. This is an old property, the floors creaks a lot. Appliances are Ok. Heating cost was really high during winter because of drafty windows and doors. We asked them to fix it, whatever they did, it did not help. After we moved in they had to replace the carpet, because every time we vacuumed we saw a lot of dog hairs, they said they had shampooed before and they did get the carpet shampooed again, but it did not fix the problem, we still had a lot of dog hairs in the carpet. They changed the carpet after that. The washed/dyers were not clean when we moved in. Shower head and knob were rusted, when we asked them to change it, they said they cannot, that is how it is. Many more instances like this. We continued to stay because the school is awesome and there were not other renting options here. When we moved out, they charged us for Carpet cleaning, Stove cleaning and other few other charges. After we shared some photos of the apartment that we took just before we handed over the keys, they refunded the some of it. We had cleaned everything before we left.
I have been at Greens at Hollymead for almost 6 years. Any time I have had any issues such as maintenance or any other issues they have been taken care of immediately . The ladies in the office are super helpful. Although the property has been bought out several times it has resulted in many upgrades to the external and internal structures and the grounds work.It is a great location for me and it being close to my work and shopping and also in a good neighborhood. I have looked at other properties and can not find one that is comparative for the size of the apartment I have now. The other places are newly built and are charging alot more for less space.
I see that prior reviews for this apartment complex were very poor (they may have their reason then) and I am glad I did not read them before moving into one of the apartments myself. I would not have moved in here if that would be the case. Differently than other reviews, I am happy I choose to live here. The leasing office staff (Megan) friendliness and quickness in support are top-notch. I reported a nonurgent workorder and it was fixed within two hours; very quick turnaround in comparison with my past experiences. This place is very clean and modern. Its location is great, very peaceful since it is somewhat away from U.S. Rote 29 with easy access to natural trails in which I enjoy running. I understand it may be pricy for some people however, having access to what this apartment offer (to include washer and dryer) it is priceless to me. If you are looking for a comfortable, clean and peaceful place to live; this is the place you are looking for. Cheers!!!
The main appeal for this place is the location. The school district is great. But be prepared to pay dearly and not get much in return. Very small units, poorly constructed. Sound conveys between apartments easily. Many people own dogs that they do not control barking. Windows allow wind to blow right in during winter, poorly sealed. Residents trash the community and vandalism occurs regularly. These were just the day in and day out problems. After we moved out, we had difficulty getting our full deposit back even though it was agreed upon by both sides what was owed. They DO NOT return phone calls ever!!! We have moved over 30 minutes away and every time I want to deal with this issue I have to drive into town. We are now over two months since we moved out and no check!!! This is a very poorly run office that does not stand behind what they say they will do. If you choose to move in, do so at your own risk and know that you will not get your deposit back without legal assistance.
The landscape and the fact it's near shopping is the only thing worth while about this place. The ladies that run the property like to play favorites. If you ask them separately about something, they will give you different answers, they have no idea what they are doing. The apartments are very old. The plumbing is worse. Don't let the outside fool you. This place is nowhere near worth the cost and it takes to long to get a problem fixed in the apartment.
Expensive rent and expensive utilities. The appliances are inefficient. The location is nice...close to shopping, food, and town. Not the worst place to live by far, but also not the most economical.
