Property Ratings at Greentree
Live here if you want no running water on a weekly basis with no notice for hours at a time, and ladies in the office who simply tell you “that’s not my job. Someone else is working on it.” Not convinced? Let me sweeten the deal with no hot water for three days straight for 1800’s style bathing at 2022 “luxury prices”. You also get broken security gates, random illegal added rent fees and all kinds of fun. Oh and there’s no open swimming pools for over a week. No water. No swimming or running water in 112 degree weather? NEW Management so ignore the old positive reviews. This property manager has-not been accredited with the better business bureau. The main pool is still not operational, the bike and elliptical are broken in the gym, you can’t opt out of valet trash. Just google valet trash apartment and you can find articles and forum posts from tenants across the country calling similar valet trash programs a “scam” but if in rising inflation you want to pay to have someone carry your trash two feet be my guest, don’t want it well you can’t opt out. Don’t live here. Recently have a huge ant infestation all over the sidewalks, trying to come in the house, covering the trash cans, trying to get in our cars. Sugar ants and carpenter ants. Told apartment and they’ll spray next time the bug guys out, but why weren’t they spraying for standard pests that are clearly a visible problem to begin with? Reporting the ants as a complex complain got us reprimanded by management as it’s “pest control” despite it not being a unit problem and clearly a complex one. Little communication and unfriendly again, was surprised to get a response.
Update: If you live here or choose to live here (first, I'm sorry), please have all communication in writing. Shenea just implied that I was lying about her telling me about the previous tenants here, and then slyly admitted to it by giving us more information about them. We were offered to transfer units with fees at first then without - if we edit this review. We said no. They also wanted us to sign a 12 month lease. NOPE. They also send emails saying that the water will be turned off for a few hours right when it's getting turned off. What if I'm in the middle of a shower? Haha. It's hilarious at this point. This has been one of the worst experiences of my life. My stomach hurts every time I drive home and into the complex because of the whole experience. ---- Bianca, the general manager has been helpful and has helped fixed the ac, the front door, the dryer, and scheduled for the resurfacing of the tub. We still are waiting on the rest of our outlets to be changed. The fridge door is still hard to open. After attempting to fix it, we still have to dry our clothes twice because they are still damp. They are down to one maintenance guy, so nothing is getting fixed. We have told Bianca about our loud neighbors upstairs multiple times. She said she’ll give them another notice, but we are not sure what that does. Packages are still sometimes left on our door even with us paying for the locker service. The pool is still closed. It hasn’t been open since we moved in July. Again, we are paying for that. We were offered to move to a different unit, but I don’t know why we’ll have to spend time and resources to move again when our upstairs neighbors are the ones being inconsiderate. Shenea, the assistant manager, told me that the previous family who lived in our unit also requested to move. This means that they moved us in without fixing anything. I guess they just didn’t empathize with us. Bianca said she used to live here and was miserable, and yet she is the general manager. It’s disheartening to know that families are being put in these apartments even with the office knowing how miserable it is to live here. I was crying our first day in this apartment.
They overcharged me on my rent 9 of 12 months. Yikes! I had to constantly ask why I received lease violations they would always apologize but it happened nearly every month. Property is not well taken care of. Pool was green for the entire summer, gate never worked for more than 3 days at a time. Dog park is flooded and equipment is rusted and sharp. Water shut off minimum once a month, often without notice and off for several hours at a time. Took FOREVER to get hot water. They gave the outside a facelift but don’t be fooled, the apartments are VERY old and outdated. Community areas are often closed, but of course they’ll still charge you! I feel the management is very dishonest and it’s not worth your hassle. Currently in a legal battle as they’ve been charging me rent even after moving out months ago. This place is an absolute SCAM!
Nicest staff. Made my move-in super easy and was very helpful throughout the entire process.
Was planning to move out of here because of the parking situation, constant water shut offs & random charges. However, due to the economy rising we are staying another year. We rent a one bedroom renovated apt & have not had any major issues! Maintenance usually responds within a day for general fixes. Also, management responds quickly to our emails which is also great! On top of that the manager also negotiated our renewal price which was amazing as well considering our current apartment price is crazy high post-pandemic everywhere! Would rate 5 stars if they would stop shutting off the water frequently lol. Overall not bad of a place and my neighbors aren’t too bad either. Give them a chance :)

I recently got a “renovated” apartment. I don’t know what they constitute as renovated, but 2 months in and the paint is already chipping off the tub. The place is dingy and not in a safe area.
Property Manager at Greentree, Responded To This Review
Please contact the office and let them know about the paint chipping and they can do something about that. Have a great day!
Don’t do it that’s all I gotta say !!! Not worth it you need professional management who makes sure apartment is ready before tenants move in! Very unacceptable!! Especially for the price you charge!!
This place should not have any stars!!!! I have been living here ... .. my rent didn’t increase over the years.. til “New Management” or the old company got bought out, they have been increasing my rent every year! It’s hard enough they lying about the fees and everything and adding every little thing to make the rent higher!! Water Maintenance is constantly happening ...having no water few hours and then saying” sorry it happens, but out of our hands” I mean you charge us for every little thing..fix other things then making the place “pretty!” Weight room is a joke! Gated fance never working! Noise uncontrollable and the Police are always here! DNT MOVE HERE THIS PLACE IS JUST TAKING YOUR MONEY!!!! Not worth it!!!!
I wish I could give this place negative stars. I have lived here for a year and I can say it has been the most painful and stressful experience I've had anywhere. Constant maintenance requests that take upwards of a month to be addressed ( I did not have a washer or dryer working for the first TWO MONTHS of my lease and I should have run then) by the less than competent maintenance staff who will also go through your house without permission and take pictures inside and outside your property! I even had a maintenance person tell me they go through peoples houses and take photos to "see who is dirty". They think you will not have security cameras in place to watch their dishonest behavior but this is one thing I do recommend if you live here get as many cameras as possible and document everything!! They changed my lease mid-lease and they will see me in court if they try to do me wrong when I leave, very very shady. The place is in shambles from day one mold growing in the bathroom, leaking AC causing more mold, infested with ants and roaches under the buildings so badly I could hardly walk into my own living room or kitchen without being eaten alive by the pests. They tell you the place has been "remodeled" but the most improvement done to any of these units was some paint slapped on the counters to appear newer they could not even replace the baseboards or weather stripping under the doors, such basic things! And because of the lack of weather stripping or competence you will pay through the nose for your A/C.The gym is a JOKE none of the machines (all 4 of them) work and its the smelliest stingiest little room you wouldn't want to work out in anyways. Don't expect to be able to use the hot tub either since that has been broken for over YEAR and that lovely "gated community" feel goes right out the window when your gate never closes doesn't it. You will be met with nothing but dishonesty and disrespect at this establishment. Do not waste your time or money you are much better off spending just a little more to get much better conditions and amenities and treatment from office staff since the rates here are laughable once you see what you're paying for.
Property Manager at Greentree, Responded To This Review
Hi there, we can assure you that we do not find this type of behavior acceptable, and we would like to address the situation you have described. Our manager would really like to speak with you more regarding this matter. Please reach out to us at (480) 409-0389. We look forward to hearing from you.
I've lived in many apartments and never had as many issues as I've had with this place in the last two years. Maintenance takes forever (sometimes weeks) to take care of simple requests, hot tub not working for literally months at a time, they turn the water off frequently for maintenance without giving any notice and their favorite thing to say about any issue is, "it's not our fault." They recently sold and are now under new management and I wish I could say it was better. Maintenance is still a disaster and it is still way overpriced, all things considered. The 24/7 gym is actually just a sweaty box that has no window coverings so it's awkward to work out at night. And if you're planning to rent here, please DO NOT BELIEVE THEM WHEN THEY TELL YOU IT'S GATED! The gate is the biggest joke. I just moved out and collectively the gate MAYBE worked for a total of one month in the last two years. They'll "fix" it and it will be broken again two days later. I hope this review helps someone decide to rent somewhere else instead of throwing money away here.
We moved in about a month ago from out of state and selected this community online based on the price, locality to work and their pet policy. Our leasing consultant was incompetent. Every interaction we had with her she would misstate something (desired move-in date, lease term and price). This was extremely frustrating and concerning but we decided to move forward hoping that she was just one bad employee. Since moving in, we have requested several items be fixed in our apartment and maintenance finally showed up after 4 weeks to fix the most recent item we requested. Seems as if our other items were never given to maintenance. There are cats everywhere! The owners let them run around outside without a leash. There are many dogs and several owners who don’t pick up after them. So glad we signed a short lease term. We will definitely be moving out at that time.
there is a heavy noise in my bedroom every night and at least last for hours.the phone notice measurement said the noise is equal to the noise in a highway!
My first impression of this complex wasn't great; I walked in during the afternoon and asked about available apartments for the weeks I could move. The leasing agent said she was expecting an appointment so if that person walked in she would need to assist that person. I said that was okay. I filled out a form and discussed one apartment with her (the lowest price available for the dates I could move). The leasing agent said I needed go through the leasing process online. When I logged in later in the evening, I noticed the price of the apartment we discussed had been raised about $50 dollars so I was not happy about that at all and it gave me a bad feeling. Despite the price increase, this complex was still the best one I had found in this area with apartments available in my budget. I also noticed there were larger apartments available at the same (higher price), so I decided to rent one of the larger apartments. I moved in and I have been living in the apartment for about a month now. The washing machine was broken when I moved in however that was fixed within the first week. I haven't had any additional issues and so far, this seems like a pretty quiet family oriented community. I also read a negative review on Google that said the apartments had bugs/roaches. That is not true I have not seen any bugs inside or outside. The apartment was clean when I moved in and I haven't had any other issues.
For the price this place was too good to pass up. We moved in November 2014 and the first neighbors that lived above us were very loud and had numerous people coming and going at all hours which woke us up a lot since the walls are pretty thin here, they seemed sketchy to us. We lived in a back corner apartment by a side gate entrance which slammed and had many people coming and going out of it. The side gates finally got locks on them in September 2015 which is much better. My husband's truck window was smashed and shattered as if someone was trying to break into it while parked in the parking area. We reported it to the office but all they did was say "okay thanks for telling us" and that was that. Young Kids run through the parking lots unsupervised and could get possibly get hit by a car. We have also seen a group of kids playing in a dumpster throwing trash out. The apartment has no storage as the cupboards in the kitchen are very narrow and can't hold dishes/pot and pans. We have to store the pots and pans in the oven. The lining in the bathtub is peeling. The carpets are a very cheap kind that gets worn out quickly as well as the blinds on the windows are easily destroyed if you have any kind of animal. The apartment above us burst a pipe flooding their apartment and ours at 3am once and the housing office didn't check for mold or come in and record the damage after we reported it. All they did was fix a patch on the ceiling that bubbled. We are debating still whether or not we want to move out after the lease is up.

Looking for a great apartment home to live in a suburb Phoenix? Let me touch briefly on the many special features that make this a place I adore and never want to leave! My son and I have moved to Greentree Place in 2009 and have lived here since in a two bedroom/two bathroom apartment. The apartment is open and spacious, with a unique square kitchen, a phenomenal amount of closet space, a great patio overlooking lush grass and trees, backing into a nice neighborhood and greenbelt (no parking lot view here! ;) ) I especially love the large master bedroom/bathroom and having a full sized washer and dryer! There are two sparkling pools and a Jacuzzi; the clubhouse and office were recently updated. There is covered parking and the grounds are very well maintained and beautiful! The gym was recently renovated and is open 24/7. The managers here, Kaylie and Brittany are always available. They both work hard to please and accommodate their residents. The rest of the staff is very friendly and helpful. I would especially like to commend Ken, the maintenance supervisor, who works tirelessly to make sure his residents’ needs regarding repairs are tended to. He always works really well with me regarding time, scheduling an appointment to come to my home when I want to show him something that needs fixed. He is protective of the many single women living here. The only real complaint I have had living here is concerning my adult handicapped son, Danny who needed a handicapped ramp. There were no ramps we could use near our apartment. The management installed a wooden ramp which quickly fell into disrepair. After requesting a more permanent solution, the office agreed to install a concrete ramp. However, the process involved was long, difficult and stressful for both my son and I. To their credit, I do want to add that the current management was not here when this whole ramp process began; and Kaylie was instrumental in fighting to get the cement ramp. Kaylie tells me there are now four or five concrete ramps on the property. My rent increased $66 this year, which I cannot afford comfortably; however to the management’s credit, there was no increase last year. I am afraid that if the rent continues to climb, I will no longer be able to live in this cozy apartment. It would break my heart to have to move. I hope you love your apartment as much as I love mine! If not, and you live in the Phoenix area, please check out this great place; I think you will be delighted! :)
Downtown Chandler, near schools, easy access to Loop 202 you can't get better than this
Great apartments. Although the fitness center is little small, the apartments and spacing are perfect. If you are a family of 5 , I'd suggest a house. But students/couples/independent focused individuals, this is a perfect place for you. Very chill management as well.
I live here for months, good neighborhood, staff are really nice and friendly. Quick maintenance services
