Downtown Greensboro is at once charming and historic and hip and trendy. Its historic architecture lining wide sidewalks offers a wide variety of shops, restaurants, art studios, and theaters; its position just a few blocks east of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and Greensboro College adds a youthful energy to the neighborhood. Residents and visitors can take a gourmet food tour or a history and haunts tour. They can explore the Blandwood Mansion or the Greensboro History Museum. They can catch a performance at the Carolina Theatre or the Community Theatre of Greensboro.
For a touch of the unique, Downtown Greensboro offers a variety of public art and murals. You may notice an abundance of coffee cup sculptures -- these were created to celebrate the sit-in movement of the 1960s. The eight bronze sculptures are located throughout the downtown area, and a self-guided walking tour takes visitors to all of them.

Property Ratings at Greenway at Fisher Park
Not worth the money for what is supposed to be a luxury apartment. There was a bait and switch on amenities. The appliances aren't good. Half the outlets in my apartment don't work despite people coming to fix them. The internet managed by the property seemed liked a good idea at first, but you have no control over it, can't reset anything, and the the router and extender were installed in terrible places on the ceiling. My TV gets kicked off WiFi every half hour or so. The walls and ceilings are thin so I can hear every move my upstairs neighbor makes. They got rid of security, they got rid of cleaning service, they don't enforce rules about parties in lounges after 10, they don't enforce no smoking, people's dogs go to the bathroom in the hallways, and the valet service will show up outside your door at midnight instead of 7pm. The windows, pools, and not having to pay for parking are the only good things. I can't wait for my lease to be up and I can move out.

We are so sorry you have felt this way living at Greenway, as we pride ourselves in listening to any issues and fixing them to the best of our ability. Its important we address these grievances. We would love to better your living experience at Greenway. We have an internet tech support number with Spectrum and are happy to help if we are aware of any internet issues. Maintenance can adjust the ethernet cord to make sure it is aesthetically pleasing if you let us know. In reference to your outlets, we are unaware of any work orders relating to outlet issues that have gone unrepaired, we ask that you reach out to us so we may look further into any issues with your outlets. You can reach out to our on site courtesy officers, whom are Greensboro policeman, with any after hour issues 10pm-10am by calling our office and choosing the courtesy officer prompt. Our amenities are open until 12am so its possible there are residents using the amenities between 10pm and 12am , but if they are excessively loud you can contact the courtesy officers. Our community amenities are professional cleaned twice a week and if you ever need apartment cleaning we offer that with a charge to your account. Maintenance works hard to keep the breezeways clear of debris and stains, but unfortunately dog owner’s must have a responsibility to help prevent their dog from urinating in the building. We can’t stress enough how much we want to rectify any misunderstandings or unknown information about our community with you. Please reach out to us.
I did not enjoy living at this property. The staff was not polite and my appliances were old.

We are sorry if our staff ever came off as anything but helpful. Our number one priority is resident satisfaction. If there were any issues with your appliances or anything in our community we would have wanted to know so we could rectify the issues while you still lived here. We wish you the best of luck!
Staff is always super helpful and responsive, maintenance is quick and thorough, and you can't beat the community feel! The location is awesome within walking distance of two breweries, restaurants, a natural foods market, and the baseball stadium. There are monthly community events put on by the staff and everyone I have met so far is very friendly. My apartment is spacious for me and in good condition on move-in with few issues. For a new transplant to the area, I couldn't have chosen a better place to live!

Thank you for taking the time to review us! We are so glad you are getting to know Greensboro while living here at Greenway!
Greenway at Fisher Park is conveniently located in downtown Greensboro! There are so many things to do right near the apartment complex like attend the baseball games, have a beer at two different breweries, and grab local food at the market! I have felt safe the past two years that I have lived here!

Thank you for taking the time to review us! Our residents enjoying our location is so important!
I've lived in Greenway for a little over year. I absolutely love this place. The apartments are laid out perfectly for tons of space and storage, great kitchen space, and the french doors and windows to the balconies give so much light to the apartment. My apartment has polished concrete floors (some have hardwood) and that's a rare find in an apartment. The amenities are great, as well. Multiple places for sitting around with friends and relaxing, grills that are well-kept and have easy access, a gym and fitness classes like yoga. While not a Greenway amenity, Deep Roots Market is across the street, and there is a bar and a couple of restaurants nearby, so it makes it easy to come home and walk to wherever you need to go. Last but not least, the staff here are exceptional. I travel a lot, so I can shoot the leasing office staff an email and I'll have a response within the day. If I ever have any questions or issues, they respond and resolve the problem quickly. This year, the leasing office sent out a questionnaire asking residents ways to improve the community, and they started making changes based on the questionnaire immediately. They truly are focused on improving the resident experience.
I had a great experience living at Greenway. You are conveniently located across the street from the minor league baseball team which features fireworks as well as some nice parks and walking distance to downtown. The complex features free minor league baseball tickets once a week, fun social events, and organized athletic leagues. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the apartments and amenities are great! I would definitely live here again - best apartment complex I've with with and lived in.
THE PROS: The location is excellent. The Grasshoppers Stadium, Deep Roots (Grocery) Market, Smith Street Diner and a new bar are all - literally - across the street. It is walking distance to downtown/Elon Law School and a short drive to UNCG. The amenities at Greenway are phenomenal. Saltwater pool, nice gym with free yoga classes each week, free Starbucks coffee and breakfast foods are offered daily in the office and free Grasshoppers tickets during baseball season. Also, wifi can be included in your rent payment for super cheap (mine was $15 a month) and there is valet trash pick-up (just be sure the bring your trashcan in before 9 am or you’ll be fined heavily with no warning). The staff is also great. They are responsive to emails and phone calls and they do a great job of planning community events (kickball, bowling, 5ks, charity events, food/booze/music nights etc...). They do everything they can to make living at Greenway a positive experience. THE CONS: As is expected, downtown living comes with the usual noises of city life. I did not sleep through the night without being woken by police/fire trucks/car horns the whole time I lived there. I've heard this isn't as bad for those living in the interior buildings. What was not expected for me was the construction noise from new apartments, surrounding buildings and road/sidewalk maintenance. This persisted almost daily for the whole time I lived there and is now starting up again. This makes working from home or just relaxing on a day off almost impossible. Not much that can be done about it - but potential residents should be aware. It was annoying enough that had I known about this, I absolutely would not have moved here. I rarely heard next door neighbors, but often heard drunk/loud people in the breezeway outside the front door. This was especially bad on weekends, as one might imagine. The parking situation is terrible. The staff appears to be doing all they can do (frequent email reminders/towing cars/monitoring entrance on game nights), but until the residents comply there isn’t much else they can do. There were countless times where I could find not parking. Walking in the pouring down rain at midnight on Tuesday when you’re paying over $1000 a month to live here is pretty infuriating (even more so on the 4th, 5th and 6th times it happens). When I moved out, the moving truck couldn’t even find a place to park near the staircase. The appliances look great and are brand new, but the quality is so-so. The dishwasher is the worst I’ve ever used. The material that the bathtub is made out of gets so dirty and grimy. The tub was very narrow and shallow and the water was never really hot and. The paint on the walls was cheap. One swipe with a Mr. Clean magic eraser and the paint just crumbles off. The floors scratch easily and the walls chip with very little force. I chose Greenway over City View because I did not like the “college/frat” vibe at City View. During my time at Greenway the college-like atmosphere grew progressively stronger - which could be good for some, but not what I wanted. If you are looking for a quiet complex with a homey feel to settle down in, Greenway is simply not for you. If you are young and single and interested in drinking, socializing and partying this is probably the perfect place for downtown living. Overall, my experience was neutral because this type of living environment just isn't for me. For the right person Greenway could be a dream come true.
Property Manager at Greenway at Fisher Park, Responded To This Review
Thank you for your comments. We are glad to know you enjoyed the downtown Greensboro life while living at Greenway. While we cannot control the noises of downtown life, we could have made sure your appliances worked properly with a simple work order request. As an apartment community abiding by Fair Housing Law, we cannot discriminate anyone that qualifies under our apartment's criteria. If you had multiple occasions where your neighbor was excessively loud, we would have followed up with a noise complaint to make sure you were enjoying your experience in your apartment. We are doing everything we can in regards to parking but in a downtown setting, we have allotted as many parking spots as allowed. Unfortunately it is hard to monitor parking at all hours of the night. We use Sherwin Williams flat paint in our apartments to ensure a beautiful aesthetic so unfortunately the paint may come off when scraped but if a work order is put in for touch up paint, we would gladly supply it and we do not charge upon move out for scrapes. We hope the pros outweighed the cons.
Greenway staff is warm, friendly, and brings in a lot of activities for residents to do. I think the price of the apartments are too much for the sub-par construction that was done. There were parts of my apartment that were missing crown molding, walls were crooked, walls are thin, and any small ding will put a hole in the walls. I suppose that's what you get when you hurry up construction on cookie-cutter apartments.. Plus nothing is included, like there would be in other complexes. You end up paying your utilities... and the costs add up.. The location is great - downtown Greensboro, right across from the ballpark. It's a quick walk to anything you'd like to do downtown.... and with being near downtown, there is a lot of noise. Greenway is a 21+ community, which made it feel like being in a college dorm all over again. I had numerous times where I had broken beer bottles outside my door, or where I'd hear screaming in the hallway as late as 2-3 am on weekends. I also had several notes left by other residents on my wind shield. Having people live above me, I could clearly hear all their footsteps. Not great noise proof apartments. So, if you have a family with young children, this may not be the complex for you. Overall I had a fair/average experience here.

Thank you for your comments/reviews. We are happy that you enjoyed the events and customer service that we strive to bring to all of our residents. We did work hard to provide top notch features like granite counter tops and silver GE appliances, but we do apologize if there were any disturbances from surrounding neighbors and if any features were missed on our end during construction. We are striving to continuously improve after our first year fully being established. We implemented our 21+ policy in a means to offer a mature living environment to all who qualify.
The amount of passive aggressive emails they send is ridiculous and completely absurd. This is an apartment complex, not a dorm room. They are ridiculous about parking. It is my understanding they are at full capacity or almost at full capacity, and have only approximately 15 visitor spots. They will tow your visitors if they do not park there. Do they really expect a full capacity apartment complex to not have more than 15 visitors on its campus at a time? when I have dinner guests over, that's at least 5 or 6 cars alone! Not to mention residents with stickers in their windows park in visitors spots frequently, thus further declining availability. All in all, it is a convenient place to live, but only if you have the patience of a saint, and never have guests over.
Property Manager at Greenway at Fisher Park, Responded To This Review
We appreciate all comments and reviews. Greenway at Fisher Park is an urban apartment community that has included the residential parking allowed for the property space. If we were to add more visitor spots then we would have less resident parking. Our first priority is residents and the city just created more parking space on the perimeter of our community that your guests can utilize. We apologize if you as a resident feel as if we have been passive aggressive in our emails. We have found that email communication is the best way to inform residents of community events, as well as downtown events. Our policies are in place in order to keep our community safe, clean and enjoyable. Per fair housing law, we must either email or send a letter to first inform residents of policy discrepancies. Please do not hesitate to contact us for any further comments or concerns.
My husband and I moved here in August and have nothing but positive things to say about it! The complex is new, clean, and well kept. The staff in the office is AMAZING - they go out of their way to make life easier. I also enjoy the number of community events that they have organized, as well as the nice perks like providing some breakfasts and dinners for the complex! The location is probably what sold us. It is only a few blocks from Elon Law and all of the restaurants/bars downtown. It is perfectly situated to reach many running and walking trails. We feel safe and comfortable here!
