Southside Indianapolis is an up-and-coming community filled with affordable housing, great schools, and a welcoming environment. The city of Greenwood is home to the Greenwood Park Mall, a massive indoor shopping center with department stores, specialty shops, a food court, and more. Even more outdoor shopping centers can be found within the city. Southside is only 15 miles south of Downtown Indianapolis, making it a great neighborhood for commuters. Interstates 65 and 465 and U.S. Highway 31 make commuting to and from this sprawling district simple. Local restaurants and shops reside throughout this close-knit community, including Mrs. Curl Ice Cream Shop and Revery, a New American eatery serving up seasonal cuisine and craft beers in a hip space.

Property Ratings at Greenwood Oaks
Maintenance The times that I have work orders, the guys were great at troubleshooting and then executing the work. They communicate the issue and how they will resolve it.. Very reliable.

Maintenance at Greenwood Oaks Townhomes Maintenance has always been very satisfactory in completing my work orders and answering questions when they can.

Becky was so helpful and informative all while being polite and kind. I’m looking forward to being a tenant in the upcoming year!
We’ve lived here for multiple years now and absolutely loved it the first two. The last couple years the management and maintenance have completely gone down hill and lost all my confidence. The townhouse itself is nice on the inside and has a lot of room, but if you want anything done and it’s not an emergency, count on waiting about a week for a task that may take 10 minutes. Instead of waiting, sometime my roommate will gladly do the task instead of wait. The snow removal absolutely sucks, they salt their side walks after the fact, and nothing gets replaced until it’s absolutely broken even if its hiking your electric and gas bill to outrageous amounts. In the summer time, prepare for the upstairs to be a sauna while the downstairs is nice and cool. It is a safe place to live and in a nice area, but we’re fed up with the office staff, manager, and maintenance excuses for poor service. Take your money to a place that actually cares about its residents.
This place is the absolute worst. The maintenance staff is lazy and will not fulfill any of their work orders. This place will find any way to nickel and dime you. Stay away!
Greenwood Oaks is/was our first home in Indiana after recently moving from the south. We were supposed to move in on October 18th, but our moving company had issues and were not able to pick our things up until a few days later. We ended up moving in probably 3 days after we were supposed to, but Ms. Liz and the office staff were completely understanding throughout our whole move. This was literally the ONLY part of our move that went smoothly. The townhomes are HUGE and very well priced! We haven't had the bug issues that the other reviewers have had. The neighborhood is very quiet with super low traffic flow. The free carport is really great especially in the winter months. The maintenance team is really friendly! The only reason we are moving is because I work 40 minutes away. We wish we could find this townhouse closer to my job! Thanks for everything Ms. Liz, office staff, and maintenance!
The town-home looks good until you move in. The closets are cheaply put together so they've broken several time since I've been there. They nickel and dime you for everything. My neighbors have changes quite frequently in the 18 months I was there. Upon move out they will try to suck every dime out of your security deposit. I had a stain on the carpet in one room and they charged to get new carpet for the entire house. The worse part is the bugs and ants. I had so many ants that they were crawling out of my laptop and out of my sink. I was in the last month of moving out so maintenance did not come. It was horrible, ants and bugs everything! I hate centipedes and I saw them as well. I have a video of the ants poring out of my kitchen sink. The property manager, Liz does not care. She will pretend to be nice until you need your security deposit back. Her philosophy is that you must leave the property looking new but law does not require a used item to be returned new. I would move somewhere else. Its not worth it.
I can't lie, the townhomes themselves are very nice. They are decently sized and the kitchen is updated it really is a nice place. However, at the same time it is TERRIBLE. Ever since moving in I have had trouble and I've hit my breaking point. I've seen countless neighbors move out in my eight months here and I am also looking to leave after my lease is up. Ever since I moved in I have had a problem with bugs. The townhomes are sealed terribly. My window sills had cracks and my kitchen had 30 ants a day. The maintenance team doesn't come out and do anything unless its an emergency. If its not an emergency they won't come for WEEKS. If its a leak they come and fail to fix it. If you're looking for a run down community with terrible management this place is for you.
