Lafayette is located in southern Louisiana. It has the rich culture you would expect from a Louisiana town. Also, because it is a college town, it is very much concerned with education. People of all ages, cultures, and personality types will find that Lafayette is a pleasant place to live.
Lafayette has many beautiful neighborhoods. Different people like different areas of the city for their own reasons. However, the south side of the city is typically the most sought after. The area surrounding the University of Louisiana – Lafayette is known as the university area. This area, as well as Lafayette’s Downtown District, is more urban in nature than other parts of Lafayette. It is possible to walk to the school, local restaurants, shops, and art galleries. Broadmore is mostly residential and home to people of many different ages. This is also where the Thomas Park Recreation Center is located. Broussard, Youngsville, and Scott are small cities on the outskirts of Lafayette.

Property Ratings at Greystone Apartments
I was excited to rent at Greystone but unfortunately no rooms were available. The management team called nearby apartment complexes for me until they found one with an availability. They were very friendly and helped me out in a pinch! Also the place was very well kept and newly updated. Huge thank you to the staff!

We take pride in giving outstanding service to every prospect/resident and we're overjoyed to receive your compliment and appreciation. We look forward to seeing you again and welcoming you into your new home at The Greystone. Thanks again.
I don’t have a true living experience over here and honestly, I may never. The office does not answer the phone. I’ve called at least 10 times to get pricing and availability for a 1 bedroom. I don’t think I would like to live in a place where I have to physically go to the office to speak to someone. Been there, done that and I don’t think I’ll go through that again.

I loved living here! I’m so sad to have to leave due to reasons not relating to the apartment building. The managers and people in the office are wonderful and always so helpful!!!

Thank you for the great review! We’re so happy you loved your experience. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us if we can ever assist you in the future with your housing needs.
Find an apartment that allows the use of the amenities!! Management said they don’t have time to “babysit” residents that want to use the pool, etc.

First, thank you for taking the time to give us a review. Unfortunately, for the safety of our residents we have had to close some of our amenities due to Covid-19. We welcome the day there will be no restrictions and our residents will be able to fully enjoy all of our wonderful amenities. Please contact our office at 337.456.5548 if you have further questions.
The staff at greystone is amazing! They treat you more as a family from the time you walk in. Mrs cinthia works so hard to make sure everything is perfect with amazing two ladies backing her up! The units are so clean and spacious! Definitely recommend

I should’ve listened to the bad reviews about the management staff. I never leave comments and felt like I had to warn about the office staff. Rachel lied to me twice about lease dates and fees, then her manager Cynthia covered for her. Not once did they try to work with me and were very rude. They said to email their management email, but it just goes back to them. It’s a sad scheme they have going and I’m surprised they are still working there.

We understand that you may not have the best perception of our team, yet we have great confidence in them and their abilities to work with you towards improving your time here. We take resident issues here very seriously. We appreciate your feedback and hope that if there is anything else we can do for you, that you’ll give us a call or stop by the leasing office to discuss in person.Thank you.
We have been at The Greystone for nearly 6 months and we absolutely LOVE it!! The staff are very friendly and everyone that we have met has been friendly. The couple of minor things that I have called about have been addressed with 24 hrs (not counting weekends) The schools that are zoned for this area are top notch, which is what we were looking for in our search. I would highly recommend this apartment complex to anyone looking to move to the Lafayette area. The location is convenient to shopping as well as restaurants.
Took deposit money from my account on a lease I did not sign, based on false availability on the website. Had to involve Chase Bank and a lawyer because they refused to refund the money they took that was illegal. It was reported with the BBB as well. Financial compensation for false information and false advertisement. As a young professional this is TERRIBLE management, it was an unnecessary experience, and I do not suggest this place.
Great customer service. The office staff made my move in really easy. I made a great decision for my family by moving here!
We love it here at Greystone. We take advantage of the beautiful pool, sand volley ball and the gym. We also enjoy the basketball court occasionally. the staff is very caring. We have lived in a number of places over the years, this is the best bang for you buck!
My son and I have lived here for 2 years. Great experience, Great people, Amazing office staff. There is not one problem that I had that they did not fix. The office staff became my son's best friends, at least that is what he tells me! Leaving here will be hard but growth and blessings is calling for us to have a bigger space. I would recommend Greystone to everyone!
I only had a 6 month lease with Greystone but you could not pay me to live there any longer. The apartment itself was nice, fairly new and moderately-well cared for but nothing could be worth the headache of this apartment management. Upon initially touring the apartment I was assured that the damaged to the kitchen counter would be replaced before my move in date. Only after monthly reminders to management was the counter replaced in the FINAL month of my lease. Similarly, a hornets nest on the patio was also never addressed. At the time utilities were also advertised as including both water and internet/cable (as my lease verified) yet I still stuck with monthly bills for both throughout my entire stay. It is home to many offshore oilfield workers like myself, as the management is well aware, however oppose to getting in contact with us while away through phone or email they insist on leaving notes for months at a time hanging on the door at the risk of residents privacy and to their own dismay when no one gets back to them. I also returned from offshore several times to discover that they had entered my apartment without attempt to contact me before or after. My move-out date could not come soon enough even though I was stuck with a $25 admin fee, and $185 carpet cleaning fee after despite my thorough cleaning before I left. That may not have been such a slap in the face had the carpet been remotely clean when I moved in. Don't make my mistake! Live literally in any other apartment complex!!
I lived here for about 9 months. Not a bad experience at all. I enjoyed my apartment. My main issue with this apartment complex was the issue of my deposit. I paid $250 when I moved in, and when I moved out I ended up owing the apartment complex $287. Mind you $175 of it is for carpet cleaning? As if there is not the expectation of regular wear and tear of carpets in every apartment complex (I had no pets, never had any parties in the apartment, I do not drink or smoke). Modern day thievery. What a shame.
I live in a one bedroom on the 3rd floor. The layout is very nice, and even with two people and two dogs, a one bedroom was plenty of room for us! The kitchen is very nice and the washer and dryer units are quiet and out of the way. Our view from the third floor was nice as well, and we faced the Basset store parking lot which was mostly quiet. The apartment interior is amazing! Very nice counter tops, very nice appliances and carpets as well. Great closet space and very well insulated. The one bedroom apartments have a layout in which the bedroom touches both the bathroom and the living room, but I go to bed early and I could never hear any activities going on in either room. And that includes loud movies and loud guitar playing that my husband would enjoy while I was sleeping. (his man time). I enjoyed that I couldn't hear any of that very much :) Although it can be pricey, I'd say that it's completely worth it. They are located in a great and quiet part of town, but you are close to everything. The neighbors are respectful and the office workers are always helpful. A wonderful gated community where I always felt safe. I would give 5 stars, however; a few things bothered me at time. Our air filter was changed only a few times in the 2 years living in the apartment and with all of the dander and dust, our filter got very messy. The trash service is not very helpful either. The second half of our second year we were spoiled with a new trash pick-up service, but the service has very VERY strict rules and it was just easier to take the trash out on our own as we had been doing for our entire stay anyhow. Very annoying to find notes on our door with pictures of our trash that didn't follow the rules. Also, since we lived in the back of the facility, yard maintenance was lacking a bit. I walk my dogs at night and had to be very cautious as to were i stepped because of all the dog waste that had never been picked up by the owners. Made for a terrible smell and a sore sight. Not the apartments responsibility to clean up after the residents pets by any means, but maybe a forceful note or a monthly check-up/clean-up could help. Not only animal waste, but cigarette butts congregate on the ground as well. Tons! It's gross and kills the nice vibe the apartment works hard to uphold. Overall I would highly recommend this complex to newcomers. It's been a very nice home for our small family and I enjoyed my stay greatly.
I have lived in apartments throughout Lafayette for the past five years and Greystone has been the best yet. Updated buildings and clean area. Love the pool area and multiple grills makes it great to get friends together. The staff is always helpful and seems to pay mind to their residents.
I have done extensive research on luxury apartments in lafayette la before I moved to the Greystone. I am including pet fee, utilities, cable/internet and base rent as the lowest price for higher end living. The property is beautiful and has the best amenities in the city: The 24 hr gym has basic equipment plus wifi and TVs. There is a sand beach volleyball court next to the beautiful tropical pool. I was able to cancel my tanning membership because there is a tanning bed there! You end up saving money if you include gym and tanning membership you won't have to pay for. It is also helpful that cable and Internet is included so you don't have to worry about hookup fees and contracts. My neighbors are friendly and in the past two years I've lived here, I never had a complaint for noise etc. It is a really good location to avoid traffic, also walking distance to the mall, restaurants and bars (which came in really handy). The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I am being transferred with my job and I am very sad to leave.
If you are looking for a place to stay that is very modern with a sense of security this is the place for you. This apartment complex Just as it's name states have beautiful grey stones, granite countertops, spacious bedrooms and closets. If you like to work out the gym has state of the art equipment with a beautiful basketball court. The pool is lovely for kids and family's with gas grills and volleyball court. Never seen a place like it in the area. Check it out you will not be disappointed.
I have been living here for about a year. i live in a one bedroom apartment. i have a bug problem and no matter what i can't get rid of them and its not just spiders and ants its tinny centipede type of bugs also. the ants were so bad i couldn't leave anything in its bag or box like dog food or cereal. There is mold on the bathtub and sink and the toilet builds up mold around the rim no matter how many times i bleach it. The noise is i guess on average, i can here the people above me walk, use the bathroom, and listen to their tv. Also people are very rude around here when it comes to car wise, people blow their horn no matter what time it is, alarms go off all day long, blare music late at night, and they park wherever they like, i am paying for a garage because i did not like walking a mile at night but now people just park wherever even behind my garage so it is a obstacle to leave. Oh, another car issue is watch out when you are driving because you might get ran over with the way people fly around the conners. My microwave can't be used for longer than 4 minutes if i do try to use it longer it turns it self off. my pipe busted in the bathroom. other than that the pool is nice the apartments are a nice size and lots of pets i guess that can be a plus or not depending if you are a pet person. the gym is nice and the court is nice. during the summer people are always grilling and socializing at the pool which is fun. the location is nice because of the closeness of all the stores. overall i wouldn't mind living here another year but the bugs are my main problem.
