Property Ratings at Greystone Apartments & Townhomes
Most things are ok, staff are nice, units are clean enough, all that. The main issue is the walls and more importantly the floors/ceilings are paper thin and allow sound to travel through as if nothing is there. Even on the 2nd floor, I can still hear everything the people below me are doing, in addition to the 2 other units on either side.

The apartment is updated and modern at reasonable price. The landlords are friendly and provide an excellent service to tenants. When I had file for maintenance request, they would sent a worker right away in same day or next day. The repairmen often radiate the friendly demeanor. They provide an quick and excellent services. My apartment is very safe and comfortable environment.
My boyfriend and I couldn't believe our luck when we first moved in during July 2017. This place was a steal for the price and we couldn't have signed the lease fast enough. It helped that they had a deal running that only lasted for 48 hours from when we were able to tour the apartments. The first 6 months was amazing. Then, the office hours changed without notice. Their office hours are listed differently here compared to Google and compared to their own website. As someone who was a student with a part-time job for the first year and a half, this was incredibly inconvenient when we needed to speak with management in person. Then, we had a pothole form in the parking lot. This hole spans the width of a parking space and gets bigger every month, to a point that it is ridiculous that it has been ignored for a full year and a half. Then, we had noisy neighbors across the hall. They would smoke in public areas in the building, namely the hallways and the mailroom. When we contacted management, visually all they did was put up flyers. These same neighbors started playing music past quiet hours that one could hear down the hall. They argued with each other in the parking lot and their unit at 2 AM. We complained again to management, this time citing loud noise complaints and continued smoking. More flyers went up and I was told to call the local PD for any future noise complaints. They brought mice and roaches and bed bugs into the apartment building. The only thing management did was put out cardboard traps and call me at work to tell me they needed everything moved away from the radiators that night as they were spraying the next day. When I told management we had already found and killed 3 roaches, they responded the infestation "wasn't as bad as they had thought". When those neighbors moved out, we thought that would be the end. However, it seems as though other residents have taken advantage of management ignoring what happens on their property. Recently, two cars were parked in front of our building, effectively blocking off the sidewalk. When I called management, I got an answering machine for off-hours, even though their website had listed they were open when I called. I had to call the emergency line who treated me like a joke and didn't seem bothered by cars parked on the sidewalk. It's a shame we missed the move out period and had to sign for another year because these events have severely depreciated our respect for this complex.
My boyfriend and I moved into Greystone because of the location and price and we love it! The apartment is quiet and clean, not a single bug. You even get options for countertops and flooring when you sign the lease. All appliances are new and clean, I would recommend to anyone!
I have been living in Greystone for almost 6 months. For the past 2 months the amount of dog poop left outside by dog owners has been insanely high. The lease agreement contains a section that it is against the rules to leave your dog's poop on the ground and that there is a fine if it is not picked up. I have seen up to 20 piles of dog poop left on the ground in about a 100 foot space. I contacted the office on at least 4 separate occasions to complain about the dog poop left on the ground. The only thing management has done about this disgusting issue, is put out flyers in the buildings. They say they cannot do anything more unless they get a complaint with a specific sighting of someone not picking up their dog's poop. I have never actually witnessed a person not pick it up, but they evidence is all over the entire complex. This morning I saw 7 separate piles of dog poop within a 10 foot space, directly outside one of the building entrances. These were all clearly from the same dog. Absolutely disgusting, and quite unsanitary. There are other dog-related problems as well. There are people that stand with their dog directly outside of my living room window. And I've even had instances where the dog outside is actually barking at me or my dog, and the owner just continues to stand there and not do anything about their barking dog. I've also seen on multiple occasions, someone walking their dog around without a leash on. This is also one of the parts of the lease agreement. On one occasion, this unleashed dog came running up to me and my dog, and the woman could not get her dog to come back to her. My dog was incredibly panicked by another random, uncontrolled dog running up to her. I have complained about both these issues to the management as well. There are other disturbing issues with disrespectful people here as well and management does nothing about it. The garbage areas are always a huge mess. Garbage is not always bagged or tied and this has lead to small animals getting into the garbage and getting it all over the floor. The entire garage where the dumpsters are smells absolutely disgusting.
Once Solomon took over this place it has gone drastically down hill, all they really seem to know how to do is raise the rent, which they do, each and every year, and not by a little bit, either. Walls are thin, and with the washers that they are installing, the whole building shakes during the spin cycles, and they are very loud, as are the dishwashers, very cheap appliances!! Rules are not enforced and the "quiet hours" (10pm-???) are a joke. The air conditioners from the Nixon administration take forever to cool down just the open living room/kitchen, and forget about the bedrooms (they tell you to add a fan to help blow the air into the apartment, laughable) Parking is a nightmare! The Office staff, although very nice, are pretty clueless as to how things operate on their property. There is a supposed speed limit and one way restrictions in the parking lot and driveway (Greystone Lane), but it really is a free-for-all and cars race through there like they were in the Daytona 500. The location really is great, but the units need updating (some things badly) and the rent is too high for what you get. Oh and the things that are supposedly "included" (garbage, water, cable, etc...) is just tacked onto the already high rent as itemized fees, so is it really "included"?
This place has extremely thin walls. I can hear everything my neighbors do. After 6pm theres no parking available. They have laundry but they are extremely loud! appliances are cheap. The area is nice but I cant justify the price for what these place gives.
I've lived here for 7 years and have had a positive experience. The schools are great, the staff is awesome and accommodating and maintenance is prompt. Best place to rent in Brighton. Tehia B.
The employees in the leasing office are incredibly helpful and friendly! They're always willing to accommodate and do anything they can to help! When needed, maintenance is prompt. I have lived in both the apartment building as well as the townhome, great location and overall great place to live.
Best feature is the included washer and dryer. I also like the laminate flooring. The bathroom needs an update, the a.c. doesn't cool the whole apartment and there isn't adequate parking.
