As a former employee and resident, I’m disappointed by the lack of professionalism, accountability, and integrity at Griffis Residential, especially at Griffis Cherry Creek. Staff often prioritize their own interests over resident needs, and troubling behavior frequently goes unchecked. HR and corporate seem to turn a blind eye to workplace issues, offering little support for serious concerns. As a person of integrity, I have decided to take my skills and professionalism elsewhere. Do yourself the due diligence to do some research before considering this property and company.

It’s unfortunate because the location of this apartment is great. But, we haven’t had clean water in our apartment for over a year. We have black specs in our shower/bath tub consistently. Management has been very slow to help give us any sort of solution. We have had to spend our own money on filters.

This place has really gone downhill. It used to be fine and now it just sucks. Griffis won’t invest in proper fixes so elevators, fire alarms, etc., have constant issues (at least once a week). Multiple floors have had to call 911 on other tenants. Management is too cheap to put in cameras in most common areas so things like the hot tub wiring catching on fire via cigarettes and nobody knowing who did it is a common thing. Maintenance people here are trying to keep it going but their job is impossible. At least it’s quiet.

My experience has been awful here, be careful before choosing this property. There have been repairs going on right outside my apartment for the last 8 days, turbines making noise 24/7 to dry a leak, can't sleep.. Not only that, but the fire alarm system is always undergoing testing and half of the elevators don't work.There are malfunctions all around the property. If you want an honest opinion, stop by and ask a resident. Unpleasant and unfortunate that we chose to rent here. Management is unexperienced and can't resolve problems, completely clueless.

I absolutely love this property. After living several places in Denver, I can say this is the most centralized, clean and luxurious property at a good price point. The staff on site are amazingly helpful, any issue you bring to them they are kind and considerate and prompt. The grounds are kept very well, The property Is outstandingly clean. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet, and there are several great stores and restaurants all within walking distance. Couldn’t have chose a better place.

I've lived at Griffis Cherry Creek for the last 8 months and it has been a wonderful experience. The amenities are great, the location is perfect if you don't want to be right in the middle of the city but still near a lot of things, and management is fantastic. I did have a few maintenance issues with my apartment, but they were always very responsive and there is an emergency on-call service after hours. All of the apartments are being updated as well. I would highly recommend living here!

I've been here for a month so far and I really love it. Here's my experience with most of the things people will have questions about: 1) The leasing staff is awesome. Everyone is super friendly and accommodating of any needs you may have. Carlos specifically is amazing - so friendly and goes out of his way to help with anything you may need and to make you feel comfortable/welcome in your new home. 2) I think this is a great value for what you get in terms of location, interior, amenities and anything else. 3) I have a small dog and she's been happy since we moved in! It's a big building, so it's definitely a bit of a trek to take her outside, but that's to be expected. There's a turf dog park and turf outside the building to take your dogs, but it's turf, so it definitely smells like pee, and I'm not sure how often it's cleaned. But if that's a problem for you there are grassy areas as well as 3 parks nearby where you can take your dog. 4) The apartment interiors are super nice. Appliances are nice, everything feels newer and well maintained and there seems to be good insulation so noise and cold temps haven't been an issue. 5) Some other reviewers mentioned the garage being unsafe - to me it feels super secure since they now have garage doors installed. Not sure when those issues occurred, but it's not something I worry about at all. The building feels safe as well because you need a fob to enter the building or courtyard. 6) Package theft IS an issue here, even theft occurring from other residents, so Griffis' solution is a package service called Fetch. You have a separate shipping address than your home address and your packages go to Fetch's warehouse, then you schedule a time for them to be delivered to your home and either left at the door or signed for. It's actually pretty nice. They're able to deliver packages same day so you're not waiting extra time, and you don't have to carry some heavy package up from the lobby. If you DON'T use this service, it's up to the carrier where they put your package. My guess is the theft that has occurred is people not using Fetch or leaving things outside their doors for an extended period of time. 7) Maintenance has only had to come once, but it was super quick. Griffis also communicates well about upcoming maintenance on common areas. 8) The location is great with tons of restaurants, stores, etc. around. No complaints there. Overall, I love it and I'm hoping my experience stays consistent!

If we end up leaving the other option, we're definitely heading here!

Griffis Cherry Creek is a wonderful place to live! The maintenance team is always efficient and so kind--I've never had a problem that they couldn't fix. The staff is exceptional and it is easy to tell that they care about their residents and any concerns we may have. They don't give you the runaround like other property management companies do--the staff is honest, listens to our feedback, and truly wants us all to have a wonderful experience living here. They are also making considerable and exciting improvements/renovations to the property including the pool (already completed and it looks awesome), gym, courtyard, and clubhouse areas! These improvements have been a sign to me that they care and invest in the communities that they have, which is really refreshing. This apartment is definitely the nicest one I have ever lived in with spacious rooms and closets, a nice patio, fireplace, floor to ceiling windows, and beautiful countertop finishing. Also, the location is perfect--it's close enough to downtown Denver that you can enjoy the big city, but it's far enough away that the noise isn't bad. There are plenty of fun restaurants (North Italia, Cherry Creek Grill, Cherry Cricket to name a few), shopping, and walking/biking trails nearby. If you are moving to the Cherry Creek area, I highly recommend that you check this place out!!

Management at this complex is TERRIBLE! They have complete disregard for their tenants. We have had at least two MICE in our apartment bc of a hole in our kitchen. Many other tenants have seen mice in courtyard and in the HALLWAYS. If you’re apt doesn’t have mice it will have a TON of spiders. If you’re lucky enough to be courtyard level you get Both! All the amenities are under construction until the end of the year so not only do you have to listen to construction 24/7 you also don’t have access to any amenities. If you have a bike definitely don’t live here as there is at LEAST one bike theft a week here, also a lot of break-ins in the parking garage you pay $125/ month for! Management does not care about the health and safety of their residents. Find a better bang for your buck elsewhere

We have lived here a while and the appliances keep breaking and they fix it and then it breaks again. Parking is awful. I’ve gotten multiple tickets for parking on the side of the building. The property manager raised the first car parking in the garage from free to $50 then again to $75 and if you have another car or person that lives with you has a car for the second it’s $125 a month on top of the $75 and for all that money you pay for parking in the garage you share it with the adjacent office building. There have been several break ins in the parking garage and there has been nothing done but have security couple times a week. Which inconveniences residents. Prices are cheaper online but when you come into the leasing office the prices are higher. The trash rooms are constantly over flowing with trash and seems to never been cleaned out. In the apartments it’s self the door handles to the closets constantly fall off.. and appliances are very cheap.

New property management (Griffis) up-charged parking so much that I can get monthly parking for two cars under my office on 16th Street for the same price as our two cars here. I have been here for less 6 months and the appliances have all broken, toilet once, dishwasher 3 times, and the fridge so many times they replaced it with one that's all scratched up. People in the building that want to re-new their lease are getting up-charged 300-400 dollars on what they previously payed. Sure they have repainted the hallway walls and put a couple fake plants here and there but if they think that's worth this gross upcharge they have another thing coming. I would steer clear as the surrounding apartments are cheaper per sqft and don't charge $200 a month for two cars.

It’s a great property. Conveniently located. From leasing (Lauren, Kristen, and Nick) to the maintenance crew (Jorge and Matthew)are excellent, an absolute delight to work with, friendly, accommodating, understanding, and supportive. We have lived here for a year and now extending for another year.

When I first moved here in June 2019 it was called Talavera and the leasing staff was friendly. The building is probably about 10 years old and there were some other newer options but because of the price and location of this building I decided to live here. The hallways smelled like trash from the trash chutes with too much air freshener trying to mask it and had old stained carpets, the elevator also had stains on the floor and the maintenance staff was friendly but not very helpful. A few months later Griffis purchased the building and I was nervous as in the past I’ve had poor experiences when my apartment building was sold. I was pleasantly surprised, the new staff are very friendly and have done a lot - new paint, new hallway carpet, no more garbage smell, new paintings and the maintenance crew came and fixed my heating system the next morning after I called after-hours number in the evening. Unfortunately my job will transfer me to another state in July 2020 but if not I would definitely still live here. I highly recommend Cherry Creek Griffis for the reasons mentioned above: they are very friendly (but not in your face friendly), have been doing a lot to renovate the building, and are very reachable when you need them. And obviously the location and lower cost relative to nearby apartments speak for themselves.

4.5 out of 5 stars here Griffis at Cherry Creek has a strong community vibe to it; it’s definitely not like your other large-scale apartment corporations (looking at you, Greystar), they’re more boutique and personal, which is great when you’re looking for a new home! The neighbors are active and friendly, the location can’t be beat (it’s just off of the Cherry Creek bike trail, and Cherry Creek and Glendale have a ton to offer), and the on-site staff is super helpful! If you’re thinking of living here, definitely set up some time with Nick at the front office, he’s very knowledgeable about the property, gives no BS answers, is great to talk to, and was very upfront about costs and procedures during move-in. As for the complex itself, it’s got all the amenities I need: heated pool, hot tub that’s open year-round, great gym, professional business center, great club room, excellent areas to walk dogs (now I just need a dog in my life), a nice courtyard, and stellar covered parking garage. Griffis does recycle, although there’s no valet trash service—I’m alright with that, just putting it on your radar. The complex is also very clean and well-maintained, enormous thanks to the maintenance team! The complex also just went through a renovation, and it’s looking pretty spiffy. I’m also really happy with my unit, although it’s where I’d also knock off half a star—when I was initially looking at the apartment online, I thought it had a balcony, but it turns out I don’t. Super small thing, and I’m ok with not having a balcony, I’d just recommend making sure the online information accurately reflects all of the apartment features. On the bright side, Griffis does have an apartment exchange policy, so maybe there’s some potential of having a balcony in my future. In the meantime, I’m really pleased with my apartment, glad to be a part of this community, and strongly recommend living here!

I’ve been at Griffis Cherry Creek for over a year, and I’ll be extending my lease another 14 months. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, they consistently improve the apartment and keep ever running smoothly, I have no complaints. It’sa great location being close enough to downtown but far away from heavy traffic. Overall I highly recommend it!

I would highly recommend looking elsewhere... this was a terrible living situation as soon as Griffis bought Talavera. When Griffis took over they did not have cleaning or trash services lined up for the apartment complex. We lived in filth for a month! The cleaning is still unacceptable in my opinion- it never really seems clean. Then I understand that the new ownership would want to remodel the property after they bought it but they had no consideration for the current residents. For weeks on end they were painting the outside of the building making parking hard for guest, then redoing the painting inside which caused the hallways to smell with zero ventilation. During all the new remodels however the parking garage door broke. They had zero interest in getting the garage door fixed and instead had all residents going in and out of the in door. This took about two almost three months to get fixed. I also had never had any issues with packages until the new company took over and then I lost about 3 packages. When I asked about them Nick and Lauren really didn't try to help me. Overall, I understand that new management is a transition but for the price we were paying for the apartment I have expectations for my building and I feel those needs were over looked daily from new management.

Just moved in recently and I haven't had any regrets. The staff is very helpful and friendly and I never felt misled during my apartment hunt here. The whole tour process felt very honest here relative to other places which was much appreciated. The amenities are nice and the the good apartment size alongside the good location close to the best of what Cherry Creek has to offer made Griffis Cherry Creek an easy choice for me.
