Property Ratings at Griffis North Creek
There are many reviews on Griffis North Creek Apartments and I made sure to read every single one of them when selecting this apartment. During our tour everything looked so promising that I ignored some of the less favorable reviews since they were written around six months back from when I was moving in. This property has it all, heated pool, cooled package room, gym with well stocked equipment, on-site security, entertainment center, pet friendly and more. However, I wish that I heeded the warnings of thin walls, thin ceilings, and while management has the nicest staff possible, they cannot deal with a noise complaint that has plagued my household since I moved in. When I moved into my apartment, first floor, I expected to hear noise from the stairs as is expected on a multi-level building, however I did not expect two weeks into living here to be subject to loud stomping, door slamming, and harassment from my upstairs neighbor. I expected that it was just moving noises but they have continued well into my third month living here. Normally I would wait my full lease before leaving a review but I cannot imagine having other future residents be promised a conflict free living experience and go through the incessant noise if they choose to live under another resident. Noise complaints from management are addressed but respond with "everyday noise there is nothing we can do unless it is past 10pm". Now I've taken countless videos, enhanced the audio and removed background noise to show how loud the stomping is above me that is certainly not everyday noise and especially continues past 10pm daily and I have been met with a dead end from management in terms of moving forward with a resolution. The property is beautiful, tucked away on a highway that has everything locally, especially the freeway. If you still plan on making Griffis North Creek your home, please insist on the third floor apartment. Moving may be tough, but having peace of mind that nobody is deliberately making noise above you to spite you because of complaints to the office is worth it.

We appreciate you being a long-time resident and leaving us such a great review. We will work to continue to meet your expectations.
1. The first reason I give 5 star is because the leasing consultant in Griffis are really patient, nice and professional. I have to call out Kayla Ihler, who is my consultant and has been arranging everything before and between my leasing. Kayla is a very kind consultant with much more passion in her job and much more patient to help me resolve every problems I have. She introduced me the apartment very thoroughly and answered me every questions with details responsibly, which makes me like living at home. 2. The environment here is very nice and quiet. 3. The safety here is pretty good since I have seen that police patrolled even at midnight. Overall, this is a nice place to live. Even I just live here for a short term period, the impression here is good. I will refer my friends live here without hesitation.

Thank you for your amazing review! We are so happy to hear that Kayla has been so helpful during your leasing experience. We are lucky to have you as our resident at Griffis North Creek!
I had the pleasure of living here for the last 4 years. I did recently move into a house, but I wanted to take the time to share my experience living here and also acknowledge the hard working staff here at Griffis. This is by far the best apartment complex I’ve ever lived in. The grounds are stunning and filled with greenery. It’s well taken care of and maintained and also makes for a good walk! The staff are super attentive and always eager to help and they also take care of things in a super efficient manner. I always knew if I had anything come up it would be handled promptly and with care. The Management here is wonderful and always willing to hear you out and work with you on whatever may arise. I very rarely had any maintenance things come up with my apartment but when it did , the maintenance team was always professional and courteous and fixed things up great the first time. I lived in two different apartment layouts during my time here. Both had ample storage, tons of closet space and nice large patios with storage. This is nearly impossible to find anywhere else in Bothell at this price point. It was also the main reason I looked here in the first place. All the other added perks I found out about after and I’m so glad I had the experience that I did. In my opinion, you won’t find anything better in apartment living and I highly suggest it!!

Thank you so much for your amazing review! We are so lucky to have had you as a resident the past four years. We are wishing you the very best in your new home!
Disappointing mistake shady neighborhood shady neighbors dog poop everywhere fake security patrol that won’t even come if called any criminal can wander the complex doing whatever and they do! Loud kids and outrageously thin walls. Some office staff are kind but the others let you know they don’t care or even like you. Will speak to you like an idiot or spin it around to make you seem crazy for even contacting them. Save yourself the headache! Don’t believe responses from management they won’t do anything about anything.

We are so sorry to hear that your experience with our community hasn't lived up to your expectations nor the expectations of us as a company on providing all our residents a place they are proud to call home. We would like to discuss your concerns in more detail, and while your Community Manager, Eduardo, is the best person to discuss these with, we understand that you feel your concerns are not being properly addressed. Please reach out to the corporate office where we can put you in contact with Operations Support. We appreciate your feedback.
Really disappointed in myself for not doing more research. We loved this place at first but as time went on, we starting seeing why others did not renew their leases. I recommend apartment hunters do more research around the area before settling with this one. Dog poop is left everywhere and although this is not the staff’s fault, it’s still disgusting to step in poop all the time (I’ve done it many times unfortunately). I love some of the ladies that work in the front office like Carolyn, who is so sweet, but others aren’t very nice. There is a very big parking issue and visitors park wherever they like, making it harder for residents to find parking. I seldom find a space close to my unit so I either have to “illegally” park in an empty carport that no one is paying for (they charge $45 and around $125 for garage) or park far and walk by myself in the dark. The issue of lighting has also been brought up but nothing seems to have changed; there is still inadequate lighting around the apartment complex so it is harder to see walkers at night, especially those that wear all black. I really thought this was a good community and I thought this could be a great home for us, but the longer we live here, the more we realize that we made a mistake. Rent is already expensive but we didn’t mind as long as we had a good community, however, it is not the case here.

Thank you for taking the time to write to us about your experience at our community and some of the frustrations you've had since your move-in. Our teams are researching solutions for the parking situation at our community to help alleviate the concerns you have mentioned. I have also forwarded your concerns in regards to lighting around the community to not only your Community Manager, but also your Regional Manager. We encourage our residents to speak directly to your Community Manager to discuss issues in detail, but if you feel that your concerns are not being heard, please reach out to the Corporate Office.
I have been waiting to write my review for a year, as I wanted to get a solid years worth of impressions on the community and staff here at Griffis. So if you are looking for brevity, you will not find it here. Many things attracted me to Griffis North Creek. Bothell is a great area, and while BEH can be a nightmare at times- there is a stoplight at the entrance of the complex driveway (major selling point!) Griffis itself is offset from BEH, which gives many people greenbelt views, and very minimal road noise. The staff is incredibly nice, and the amenities were recently upgraded prior to my move in. The gym, additional class workout room, pool, and common area are wonderful. There is always some community event going on, like National Doughnut Day. After a year of being here, I can confidently say, that this staff is wonderful. They have always been attentive and friendly. I would like to take the time to praise them, because it is a relatively small staff considering the size of Griffis North Creek, and I truly feel that they do a stand up job. Noise level: These are apartments, not sound proof recording studios. You are likely to hear some footsteps above you on occasion, or chatter from people walking on the sidewalk by your window. All normal things that come with the territory of apartment living. That said - I have dealt with excessive noise after hours, and the office was quick to take action. They do also have an after-hours security team for instances as such. Parking: Griffis just started to roll out a parking permit system, which should help alleviate some of the congestion. That being said, where my complex is, I have never had an issue finding parking near my building. Regardless if I come home at 5PM, or 3AM. It could be different in other areas of the complex, but I have never had to walk more than 3 minutes from where I parked, to my apartment. Do your research, visit this apartment, visit a few. After visiting 2 other properties, I knew Griffis was where I saw myself, and I have genuinely enjoyed my time here. There will always be something to complain about, no matter where you live- but sometimes you have to be realistic, and weigh the positives with the negatives. For me, Griffis has an overwhelming amount of positives that I enjoy. So if you enjoy a fun-loving group of people, nice apartments and amenities, weekday and weekend activities, and puppies- this is probably the place for you.

We thank you for your review and your great words of insight and feedback into the Griffis North Creek community. Not only does our team appreciate it, but so do our customers!
I have been living at Griffis North Creek for 2.5 years and love living here. I have had incredible service from both the leasing office and maintenance department and in particular exceptional service from both Emi and Auti. They are always quick to help out in any way they can and make me feel taken care of. They are understanding when it comes to concerns and kind when it comes to dealing with anything that may arise. They are efficient , hard working and you can always tell they put the residents first as well as care about great customer service. I have also had several maintenance things arise that typically get handled by Keegan. He does a great job of fixing the problem but also doing it in a timely manner. He's been a friendly face around the apartment complex, always smiling or waving . I really appreciate that! The whole staff overall is great. The layout of my apartment is incredible with a huge walk in closet and a huge porch with storage closet. It's amazing! Overall i really love living here!!

The people who work in the leasing office are absolutely incredible, warm, and professional. I love this apartment complex because they have a dog park that's has turf-type grass so the doggies don't get filthy. I've been here about a month and I love it!

Thank you so much for your review and feedback - we can't wait to see what the future brings with you as a part of the Griffis North Creek family!
I wanted to take a moment to mention how much I enjoy living at Griffis North Creek in Bothell. Walk into the office and you’ll be greeted with a smile while finding that anyone on the Team is more than happy, and capable, to help with any task or problem one might have . I also enjoy the sense of community that pervades the entire complex. Add all this to clean and well kept grounds and amenities and I doubt that one could find a better place to live. Thanks Guys!

My personal experience has been that every member of the staff here - maintenance and leasing office - has been unfailingly courteous, thorough, and responsive. An emergency maintenance request that required a 2am visit and an outside contractor was handled professionally and quickly. Lease terms and policies are thoroughly and clearly documented. Any questions I have had have been answered. I highly approve of the Valet Trash service. It is a modest fee to pay, and a vast improvement over comparable complexes which are constantly struggling to keep dumpsters clean and rodents and raccoons from spreading things around. The company was on site for several hours recently to answer questions and address any resident issues, with a generous assortment of treats, and I saw very few people take advantage of this, despite it being well-publicized. Most issues I see other residents complaining about are either legitimately out of the staff's control, unreasonable demands, or a failure to work through the issue directly and responsibly. The pool, for example, can only be open if all safety standards are met. It's hard to keep the chemical levels in a communal pool regulated. If residents don't clean up after their dogs, the best solution is not to demand in the online community forum that the staff maintain DNA records for all of the dogs and personally test any pile of poop. The complex is kept clean and very well maintained. Parking lot repairs - which have to happen, despite any inconvenience - have been regular and done very well. Landscapers keep the grounds in excellent shape for the large number of people who live here. There has been an increased number of car break-ins throughout the larger area recently. There is a security patrol, but it remains an issue. Unfortunately, there's really only so much the complex can do. It's entirely reasonable to suggest that people not keep valuables in plain sight in parked cars, and there are always certain models of cars that are more commonly targeted, because they're easier to get into. The appropriate response is to file a police report and inform the office, as well as helping to keep an eye out for your neighbors. I have lived in several different complexes in this area, and this is by far the best. It is a place where families can feel safe letting their kids play. Also, no one paid me to write this review... I honestly like living here, and I like the people who work here.

I wish if I could select ZERO Star instead one that i had selected First of all, Apartment Rent is way costly, expect peanuts (Not at all worth value for money). Sharing my experience as Unfortunately I stayed in this community for 1 year (Jun2017-May2018), I got very pathetic apartment which was full of bed bugs. When I brought this to leasing office they didn’t even entertain me and said it’s because of your luggage that I carried. When I escalated this to management team then they addressed my concern and did Bed Bugs Treatment. They took 3 whole months to complete the treatment and during that time, I literally had sleepless nights. Today I’m thinking that I should have charged them for all the hospital bills against reimbursement. But I won’t do, as I’m not like them (read below, why I’m saying this) After the bed-bugs treatment, as carpet was completely off from the floor, I requested them to do the carpet stretching which they did but they didn’t clean the carpet at all, I requested but no one turned up. And today, they charged me 60$ for carpet cleaning which I’m not responsible for. (I heard, last week Saturday 15th Jun, there was a leakage in the same apartment and due to which fire ambulance team had to come, My friend told me that they completely took Carpet Off, then simple Question Why Griffis is charging me against Carpet Cleaning?????) Main Hidden Story which you will face only after you Move-Out:- They have hidden move-out charges which they won’t tell you till you move out completely. They will make sure Move-In Inspection happens in front of Tenant, however for Move-Out, NO one will show up even if you are leaving the apartment and handing over the keys. Besides they will ensure you moved out completely and they will send you move-out “Hidden” charges for something called Apartment Cleaning and Carpet Cleaning (Not sure how come carpet is diff than apartment as it’s a part of it) and they will charge you 180$ only for such cleaning and as a courtesy they will reduce 60$ as if they are showing care. If you stay with them and renew apt lease, they will clean the carpet for FREE (which simply means, they are adjusting your charges with those unfortunate people like me who ends up paying $120 just for the sake of cleaning… really pathetic) Please DO NOT waste your money by signing the lease at Griffis North Creek, Bothell, WA

Hi, Unfortunately, apartment communities are at a greater risk of experiencing bed bugs. However, this is very rare at our community. Our residents' concerns are taken seriously and when we become aware of pest control situations, we act immediately. In an effort to offer the best service we can to our residents, we've recently partnered with a new pest control company that we are confident will offer better service than what was provided to us in the past. To avoid unnecessary billing, we follow move-out procedures at all of our communities. We understand that receiving an unexpected bill can be unsettling and it is important to us that our current and past residents understand any fee that is assessed to them. We appreciate you taking the time to speak with our Community Management team regarding your final account statement. If we can answer any additional questions or if you'd like to discuss your concerns further, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
I would not recommend this property. I am now a griffis tenant for 8 years across two states and multiple communities. I moved in with less than adaquate cleaning (food chunks on kitchen wall, hair in the paint, oil bleed through on paint) and many other issues such as rusted old shower curtain rods and gross sink areas. I contacted the office multiple times with emails, pictures, phone calls, personally went in, even had the maintenance manager and property manager stop by the apartment. It’s now week 3 and only the shower curtain rods and sink were replaced. Nothing else has been done to remediate these below standard move in issues. My recommendation is to choose Griffis Belltown or another property where the office staff, maintenance, and property manager are held to complete their jobs and due diligence.

We appreciate you taking the time to tell us about your experience. We understand we have not met our standard of service and we sincerely apologize for your disappointing experience. I spoke with your Community Manager and he informed me that he is working diligently to address these issues. He has assured me that the mentioned areas of concerns will be resolved by Friday. If you need anything in the mean time, please let us know. We value your residency and would like the opportunity to improve your experience.
Apartments are not maintained properly in this property. There is no onsite maintenance person to take care of maintenance. Even if you call for an emergency issue , they will come next day. Price is pretty high compared to other apartments in the same area. You will get charged for each and every thing in apartment. There is a valet trash which will not pick up trash most of the times you leave outside the door. Apartment smells because of that.
Carpet was not cleaned when we moved into apartment Pet odor and stains on the carpet all over. Beware when air freshner is used to cover up pet odor when touring the apartment. Suitable for pets and animals not for humans and definitely not for kids. Kids can get asthma and other diseases due to pet hair, urine and droppings mixed with air circulation. Remember our children roll on carpets and furniture on a daily basis. Pet dander is often cited as a trigger for childhood asthma. Animal urine can be an allergic irritant. Proteins in animal dander can cause asthmatic or allergic responses in children. Spiders seen time to time running over the carpet and walls. Found a frog inside balcony storage area and spider webs as well.
I've lived in this complex, Bridges at Northcreek, since May 2014 when I relocated to be closer to work, and I must say that it is one of the best decisions I've made. I live in a 3 bedroom with modern appliances, lots of space, and quiet neighbors. I've never had any issues, but I have found that contacting the leasing office for assistance is easy and prompt. One of the biggest issues I've had in the past with other complexes is that the leasing office personnel forget about you after you've moved in; this is not something that happens here...EVER. They take time to get to know you and ensure that you love your home. They are constantly making improvements; we recently have had our parking lots and roads throughout the complex repaved, and our trash service has been significantly improved. Another big issue that I've had in the past is rent prices skyrocketing during the renewal process; this has not happened here. My rent has remained the consistent low rate that I had initially signed up for, and I don't fear it rising since it didn't during my most recent renewal. My all time favorite thing about living at BaN is that everything I need is super close! My doctor is down the street, work is down the street, grocery story is less than 2 blocks away, pharmacy is less than 3 blocks away, dentist is close, mailing services are close, and a host of other things are located so close that you can just walk if you want to save on mileage! Since the complex is like bordering both Bothell and Mill Creek, you have quick access to two town centers -- Canyon Park and downtown Mill Creek. This makes everything you'd ever need to be happy within reach. The only thing that tops that is that the complex is very beautiful because it is connected by bridges and there are wildlife preserves all around us. So, the green scenery is quite refreshing along with the awesome landscaping that gets done. All in all, it is a great experience. I suppose if I had to complain, the only one drawback is the website. Some features don't work as they are intended to, so that decreases the usability a bit. However, since I only go there to pay my rent anyway, I don't care too much. Another complaint is that during rush hour traffic, Bothell Everett Highway can be quite busy! Nevertheless, you cannot beat great apartments and quality service. I can't imagine coming home to anything less, and Bridges at Northcreek doesn't let me down!
