Denver’s sleek skyline is in direct contrast with the snow-capped, rugged peaks that serve as its backdrop, but somehow this city in the mountains blends seamlessly into the landscape. From the restaurants and shops of LoDo to the college life of the University of Colorado Denver, the Mile-High City delivers fun, culture, and adventure. Find your Denver apartment now and soon you’ll be soaring down a ski slope, hiking the Rocky Mountains, and marveling at the history in Larimer Square.
In 1858, the Pike’s Peak Gold Rush brought prospectors from all over to the Colorado region. Denver City developed as a frontier town – truly part of the “Wild West,” complete with saloons, gunslingers, and gambling. When the Colorado Territory was formed in 1861, Denver City became the capital and dropped the “City” from its name. LoDo (short for Lower Downtown) is the oldest neighborhood in Denver.

Property Ratings at Griffis Union Station
We have lived here for over a year and have nothing but good things to say. Griffis Union Station is the best. The staff is incredible and living here is affordable and high quality (amenities and apartments). Everyone who lives here is kind, the maintenance is always handled quickly, and again, the staff is really hard to beat!! Finally, the proximity to everything downtown is awesome. We love walking to the grocery store, restaurants, parks, and rail. 10/10 recommend living here.

We are thrilled to hear that you are enjoying the community location, amenities, and community events! We value your residency and are delighted to know that you have had a positive experience here at Griffis Union Station.
I’ve lived here a little over a year and love it. We are walking distance to a lot of local bars, restaurants and sights within the Denver downtown area. The apartments are well cared for and pretty decent sizes compared to most downtown apartments. Plus, the guys at the front desk and Maintenance crew are amazing and definitely care for the community!

Since one year ago living here is a good experience, it’s waking distance to every single good stuff in Downtown Denver. They’re always trying to improve good community living and hear you when you have a suggestion or a complaint to resolve.

We appreciate your positive feedback! Our team could not be happier to hear that you are enjoying your home and its location. We are always here to help our residents, so do not hesitate to reach out for any assistance! Thank you for being a fantastic member of our community!
The apartment itself is beautiful and spacious, and I absolutely love the concrete floors and high ceilings. But even more of a draw are the lovely outdoor areas. Whether you want to go for a swim in the pool, sunbathe, or just relax on the patio, it’s so nice to have a peaceful escape, and the beautiful landscaping makes you forget you’re in a city.

Thank you so much for your kind review. We are so happy to hear that you have been enjoying your apartment and the community! Our site and maintenance teams work hard to keep everything running smoothly, and we are very proud of them. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you!
Ever since the now current manager (Tamra) took over, this building has gone down hill fast. The building is constantly dirty, awful rotting food smell by the mail boxes, broken outdoor stairs for over a year now, vehicles are broken into on a weekly basis, homeless people camp out in the parking garage and inside the building. Management is non responsive to residents concerns as clearly evidenced by the degradation of the building. Do not rent here and do not fall for the positive reviews. Management reaches out to specific people that live at the building to write glowing reviews - I know, I've been one of them.

I am writing this review post conversation with management at Griffis Union Station due to the lack of tenant customer service and overall ‘horrible’ property management lead by their current manager! Let me begin with the parking garage. If you pay to park your car in their garage, get ready for multiple car break ins, theft, and homeless people exploring the parking garage all throughout the day & night even after multiple tenants complained about their cars being broken into. The lack of security for this complex is ridiculous and management could care less about your belongings i.e. bicycle and car. If you decide to lock your bike outside in their bike rack, prepare to see your bike’s wheels disappear one by one as security at Griffins Union is basically nonexistent. Next, lets go to maintenance of the exterior of the complex. When you raise issues like dogs waste being on the stairs, elevator, and hallways, management will take weeks if not months to clean the area. And finally, if you are a current tenant looking to resign in the same unit, management will ensure to raise the price regardless of your good standing (timely payments, no complaints, ect) due to their “Pricing model”. So prepare to pay more rent for the same exact unit if you plan to resign here and management clearly does not care about satisfying their current tenants. Once they sign you, you are trapped! The lack of understanding from management, especially during the pandemic (Covid 19) is extremely alarming and disappointing from a tenant’s standpoint. Previous management was amazing and the most understanding apartment manager I know in Denver. She had this place up and running so efficiently, clean, and responsibly unlike the current manager. DO NOT SIGN HERE until management changes their ways and does not punish their current tenants with higher rental rates unless you sign long leasing terms. Once I see some actual changes around this apartment complex, I will remove this review ASAP!

We are sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction with our attempts to address your concerns. The security and well being of our residents is of our upmost concern. We unfortunately have to charge an increase for short term leases and apologize for the inconvenience. Please submit a service request or contact the office directly with any concerns of the properties appearance. We would like the opportunity to improve your experience, please reach out to the office to discuss further.
The new management seems to make it hard to live here and is constantly changing conviences the community enjoys. I've never lived in a complex where they do forced entires to do biyearly apartment check ups even when you're not home. It's uncomfortable having strangers walk into your home, without you being able to be there, so they can make sure everything is in working order. (you cannot schedule theses reviews btw). They're also making everyone use this inconvient delivery service that won't let you use your own address. I can't wait to move out of this place and urge anyone considering this community to look elsewhere as it's been nothing but a hassle living here.

We appreciate you leaving us your feedback. Our bi-annual preventative maintenance ensures that all our resident's homes are running in tip-top shape and allows us to prep for the changing seasons with air filter replacements, heater checks, etc. These are handled by our Service Manager and his team so there are no 3rd party vendors entering your apartment during these visits. We also appreciate you leaving us your concerns about our new package delivery system, Fetch. This transition has been based on resident feedback. Overwhelmingly, our residents have asked for a better solution to manage and secure the packages we receive on their behalf. This new program allows residents to schedule their package delivery for a time that is tailored to their schedule - to make sure you are home to receive your packages in-person. This provides more flexible delivery window than our community office hours can provide, and will minimize instances of lost/stolen packages. Fetch also delivers same day, so your free 2-day Amazon Prime shipments will still arrive as promised. If you have any other questions about Fetch, please don't hesitate to reach out to your community team, we are here to help.
We recently relocated to Denver from NJ and Victoria went above and beyond to make us feel right at home! She is thoughtful, caring and just amazing!! We’ve been living here for about a week and we absolutely love it! We looked at many new apartments within LoDo and RiNo area, and we’re so happy we ended up at Griffis. The location is fantastic, the amenities are awesome (assigned parking for $50/mo, pool and hot tub open year round, good gym, and dog run), and we can’t hear the neighbors so it’s been great. Our biggest concern was management but Victoria and Jose has been a delight to work with and we’re very grateful to them!

Welcome to Denver and Griffis Union Station! We are thrilled that you are happy with your decision to call our community home. As you continue to settle in, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We are always here to help!
It's incredibly apparent how much effort the new management company is putting into this property. Since we've moved in a few months ago, we've seen a number of the amenities be upgraded, with the addition of a few new ones. I'd have to agree with another poster in saying beyond the lovely accommodations and competitive pricing, it's the management team that makes this property stand out. Carla is an absolute godsend and the best property manager we've ever had. Can't see us leaving anytime soon.

Thank you so much for your feedback! We are thrilled that you enjoy the new community updates and our team. We look forward to having you as a resident for many years to come!
If you had asked me a few months ago I would have given griffis an outstanding review but recently I have been left with a very tainted impression of what once was a favorable opinion. I've lived at Griffis for over a year now, and till date I have never been treated as nothing more than a paycheck. The management here has no regard for it's residents, their property or security. The courtesy security patrol for the building has a habit of absconding when there is a problem, crime in the building is more than any other community I've lived at from packages getting stolen to car break-ins, sometimes multiple times in a night within the garage as well as colorful characters and homeless people frequenting the neighborhood and premises. Additionally repairs are continuously being made to the community, which would be favorable but it seems like management likes to go out of its way to inconvenience residents, for example for garage repairs 500 /- cars had to be removed and parked in two temporary first come first serve dirt lots (that double as housing for the homeless) and patrolled by the very same absconding security or had to find parking somewhere within the neighborhood/downtown which is almost impossible or as far as the highlands for four consecutive days. No reimbursement was given to residents who pay top dollar in rent and parking fees. The amenities and apartments are very nice but it is not worth the disrespect and disregard residents receive from management. Definitely would not recommend Griffis, you're better off trying one of the many apartments downtown!

Our residents mean a great deal to us and it is our top priority to provide apartment homes and community amenities that are in favorable condition. Unfortunately, in keeping with this positive intention, construction and renovations are necessary from time to time. We understand that there is never an ideal time for construction closures and we sincerely apologize for the frustrations you have felt. We never take lightly the need to complete these types of projects and the burden closures can have on our residents. Please know that during these times, we weigh all of our options heavily and search for solutions that will be least intrusive to our residents’ lives. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience the parking garage closure has caused you and invite you to speak to our team about your experience. We are always available in the leasing office to discuss your concerns and value the opportunity to work with you to resolve your concerns. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us at your earliest convenience.
The staff in the front office is phenomenal! Super friendly and easy to work with. I have made several service requests for general things and they are fixed within 24 hours every time. The location is awesome and anything you need is within walking distance. Griffis is working to improve the community and the rent is very reasonable for the area

Thank you for your feedback! We are thrilled that you enjoy the community and its location!
We have loved living in Griffis (formerly Skye). Sure, they had a management change, which will always cause some tenants to get upset, but we think that they have handled it well. It seems like they had some issues with their 3rd party vendors for awhile (security & elevator), but it seems like those logistics are being worked out, and the actual management company & apartment complex has been great! We chose this apartment complex because we love the proximity to downtown & King Soopers, yet it’s still a quiet neighborhood with free street parking. The inside is beautiful—tall ceiling, wood floors, washer/dryers, lots of light, etc. The building is built well, and we have never heard our neighbors, which is amazing! We also have a dog, and it’s so nice that there’s a dog park in the complex so that our pup can run around & get his energy out without having to walk a few blocks to a park. The team in the office has been WONDERFUL to work with, and they are so much of the reason that we love living here. They have taken their time to get to know us & our dog, and are always quick to answer questions. We recommend it!

This place gives you the downtown lifestyle with less of the hustle and bustle. It's just behind the Rockie's stadium, but is still pretty quiet. The one downside is the train tracks that it's next to. I do not have an apartment that is train side so I don't really notice it. The staff are very friendly. I don't interact with them very much, but Carla still knows me by name. The apartment itself is nice. You get a new upgrade every year and I now have a ceiling fan. There is difficulty with some apartments not getting good cell phone service. I have a corner unit and the service is okay, but still have to go out on the balcony sometimes. Parking outside of the garage is very difficult so sometimes guests have to park further away. There have been issues with being charged pet rent and for parking spots when you weren't supposed to be. The staff is very helpful with fixing those problems. Overall, the apartment complex is clean and well run.
Location, location, location! Two blocks from Coors Field, a 5 minute walk to Union Station, and a brand new King Soopers across the street. The staff are lovely and they make everyone feel welcome. The residents are nice and the building is very pet friendly. There are several common areas, a pool, gym, and small dog park. There's also a parking garage (for an additional fee), but that's super important for this area as street parking is limited. It's usually pretty quiet--doesn't feel like you're in an apartment. Lots of different floor plans to choose from. Some units get noise from the train, but I don't know how bad it is firsthand.
Amazing community, they offer weekly free seminars and events for residences to get to know each other as well as the staff (and they are fun/legit events that you WANT to go to). They are always helpful and incredibly nice. The location is unbeatable as well. I would recommend Skye to anybody moving into the Denver metro area.
Skye is in a great location in Lodo. There are new restaurants popping up every day in the neighborhood. The pool is great on weekdays. Weekends it can be a bit like MTV spring break. The grills by the pool are great for entertaining at night. My only problem with the company is they have raised rent about $100 every year.
Skye 2905 has great amenities, hands-on management, responsive maintenance, and a very friendly atmosphere. However, if you are going to live here, you better live on the non-train side of the building. It's loud. You might think that you can deal with it, but when you wake up every day at 5:15 from the abrasive sounds of the Coal Train, you will regret your decision. Dont let this deter you, train nerds!
