Property Ratings at Grove at Tramway
1. After arriving from out of state with movers after having signed a lease weeks before, we found the apartment filthy and unpainted. Appliances filthy, bathrooms gross, fireplace full of ashes. On site manager asked if we could delay moving in while we sat there with a fully loaded moving van and paid labor to unload. Really, we had no choice but to move in. 2. Requests to repair rotting wood on deck went unanswered for the entire time we lived there. 3. Property has issues with crime. One time I opened my door to a half dozen police with guns drawn due to an incident in the unit next door. Residents warned us there were lots of problems with car break-ins in the parking lot. 4. First month's rent had an incorrect pro-rata factor applied. I notified on site manager and paid the rent with the corrected factor. I never received any feedback and thought it was resolved UNTIL we had a late fee applied for every month we lived there, because we supposedly hadn't paid the pro-rated rent amount from the first month. $300 plus late fees on a $40 difference in the first month's rent? I tried to resolve this via phone calls (they don't answer their phones so you leave a voicemail that is never returned), and a personal visit to the onsite manager who claimed she'd tried to resolve the issue every month without success. She said there was nothing she could do, which is the stock answer you get for just about everything. 5. We left this apartment spotlessly clean when we moved out. At least we were good tenants despite this property owner and property management company being totally the opposite. I HIGHLY recommend looking for an apartment elsewhere.
