I've been a resident for a year now and I've loved every month here, the property is clean and quiet and the staff is the best!!!
Hadley is safe and has a great location. Unfortunately they're going through a partial renovation and this, coupled with poor communication from management, has made life difficult for several of the residents. Additionally, I've had the negative experiences of being present while Tatia (community manager) spoke both condescendingly and dismissively towards her coworkers and tenants. I do recommend this property but suggest you rent somewhere else for 2-3 years first to give them more time to work out all the property and communication issues.
The apartments seem quite nice inside and out. Nothing against them, BUT the parking enforcement is pretty Draconian. I visited a friend here, and accidentally used an expired visitor pass without realizing it. My friend had just moved in a couple weeks before and was presumably told at some point that new visitor passes need to be picked up at the office every two months. The first pass was only good for 2 weeks (date written on the pass, but with my arriving at night, I didn't read it closely). The car was parked 20 feet from the apartment in the visitor area and the barely expired pass clearly stated the room number that I was staying at and made it fairly clear that my vehicle had business being in the lot. Such a mistake could easily be resolved with a simple door knock or a note on the car telling us to update the pass (perhaps even noting the license plate to ensure the car was not abandoned). Instead I wake up to see that my car has been towed across town. I had to spend $165 and almost an hour to get my car back. I'm not saying this could not have all been avoided if the rules had been read more clearly, but what is the benefit of punishing your own residents so severely for such a simple mistake? I asked if this kind of thing happens often, and got a generic "every once in awhile" in response (staff was polite about it). Texas law prevents apartments from receiving financial benefit for contracting with towing services, and I'm not suggesting that this kind of situation is somehow malicious, but giving a tow company free reign to tow vehicles which display signs of legitimate occupancy is just idiotic and lazy. In short, this apartment complex needs to change their policy with their towing company to ensure that residents and their guests are not charged hundreds of dollars for a trivial and easily correctable mistake.
I highly recommend these apts they are well taken care of, managed, decorated, and close to ammeneties. I would send all my friend and family here who are looking for apts.
I had looked at this property before the renovations and liked the area but did not care for the apartment, but now that they have done the renovations and upgraded every thing I like both. I will be moving in as soon as my current lease runs out. The office staff was very friendly. They answered all of my questions and were helpful with information about the area that I needed.
I have lived here just a year now and renewed my lease. The location itself is great, 15-20 minutes from Deep Ellum, Addison and Downtown Dallas. All the Dallas community Colleges are in a 20 minute drive. Its also a 5 minute walk from a DART train and there is a little buss station right across from the main gate. The apartment complex is clean and simple, with a nice pool in the middle. The insides vary, as some have fake wood through the whole thing, others carpet and some 50-50 but it gives you a lot of options. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Roberto and the maintenance staff are always quick to fix any problems, even pointing out small updates they can do and preventive maintenance. They even came over on a Sunday when my sink backed up. I know the lady above me has been here 15 years and I don't see myself even needing to move till I finish with school. The neighborhood is cleaning up slowly. When I first moved here it was pretty grungy, but the Bellmar bought the area and has made it much cleaner and safer. For any 20 somethings looking for a good second place (cause we all know our first apt is awful) this is a good place to get a nice affordable apartment that you can feel comfortable in. Many of the residents are about my age, no one is loud, no gun shots. The only downside is parking is kind of tight, so make visitors carpool or Uber if you can.
After looking at all the other communities in that area, I loved this one! i felt welcomed already when I walked through the door. Tatia the manager was amazing and so helpful! This will be my first apartment and I'm pretty excited!!
I have lived at Hadley for almost a year now and I absolutely love it here! Great office and maintenance staff. Everyone is always friendly and helpful. If you are ever having any issues they are sure to make you a priority. I will definitely be renewing my lease in the next few months.
I contacted Hadley at Bellmar about leasing an apartment, only to get the RUDE Office Manager. If the owners knew any better they would get her off of their property quick!
This complex is worse of the worse. They were renovated, and it s been terrible since day one moving in. They don't keep their word, when you request to have some problem fixed. It takes a week or two, or three before it gets taking care of. But there quick to have your overnight guest(s) car towed away. We have a on-site maintenance guy who, when I first moved here you would see him often and ask about what happen to your request of getting something done, now I swear I think he hides in his apartment here, I was told that he lives here on site. They have the new washer and dryer all in one and they are terrible. It's takes all day to wash and dry. There's more to this, but it will take discuss what goes on around here.
I have lived here since February and after just a month I have had problem after problem. They had a rat in our apartment bed bugs and a huge roach infestation if none of this had happen I think I would have not had any problem especially since we moved from a much better property my expectations were high I am just waiting till our lease ends to so can get out of here
