Property Ratings at Halstead Hopkinton
I moved in a year ago and they never told me that the water had PFAS in it. I found out through the free town newspaper. So I had to lug 5 gallon bottles of water up to the second floor. They did not drop off my lease renewal unit 6 days before the 60 day give notice of non renewal timeframe and had gone up $300 on my rent after my first year. They said it was because the market is so high but as I write this they have six units exactly the same as mine available and $200 cheaper than the new rent price they gave me. Other than that the community is nice, the amenities are good it is a safe area and the people are friendly.

I've had a wonderful experience at Woodview. It's lovely, with great office & maintenance workers. Always kept the grounds beautiful. Surprisingly quiet for the most part, considering it's a pretty large community.

Hi there, we are very happy to have provided you with such a positive experience!
We needed to rent a place to live, while waiting for our permanent residence to complete during our downsizing process. The main reason we chose Woodview was because it allowed our two GSD dogs, and we were satisfied after examining the apartment. But after moving in in June, our experience has exceeded our expectations! The environment is quiet, people with dogs are mainly well behaved - picking up after their dogs and observing the leash law, respective of others. And the mgmt seems to be on top of things, sending out emails when issues came up (e.g. there were a few cases when dog wastes were not picked up). And one of the most impressive aspects is that the maintenance people are truly super! They respond to any submitted maintenance issue very promptly! We've been very pleased! Very thankful we chose this place! Will recommend it to all our friends!

Hello, thanks for your praise and kind comments about our team. We are so happy to have exceeded your expectations!
My fiancé and I's previous living arrangement would take days to come and finish a maintenance work order. Woodview at Legacy Farms gets it done fast and they even leave a note of what they completed, how long they were there, and a little note that it's all set. It's the little things that matter to me.

Woodview at Legacy Farms has the home environment Ive been looking for. Peaceful, comfortable and high quality in a country setting yet close to many attractions and routes. Perfect for the four legged family member with walking trails and amenities to help keep nature clean. The salt water pool is an addition of the many favorites here. My heart is definitely HOME.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are happy to hear you enjoy the community!
Very peaceful area off of Rt. 135. Everyone seems to respect one another's privacy. Landscape is always very well taken care of. Whenever an issue arises, the maintenance team comes out as soon as possible so you are NOT waiting for weeks on end. My only complaints are the high pet fee ($75 per pet) accompanied with the relatively high rent. However, you do get your money's worth. I do recommend.

Ive lived in many similar communities in past 15 years - but this is by far best experience. Starting from front office team Jennifer - the quality facility amenities & upkeep - make it not only a great place to rent - but s great place to live.

Hi there, thank you so much for your positive comments about Woodview at Legacy Farms!
We're so happy here! We sold our house and needed to find somewhere to live quickly. Our unit is beautiful, neighbors are friendly, helpful and quiet. Our kitchen is a joy to cook in and storage is beyond amazing! An added bonus is it's also so well insulated that we've barely had to turn our heat on. I've recommended it here to so many people!

Hi, we are so happy to read such a great review about Woodview at Legacy Farms!
Woodview at Legacy Farms is a very nice Community to live in. A peaceful, friendly atmosphere prevails throughout the Complex. The wooded surroundings are very picturesque and the grounds are very well kept. Maintenance needs are always attended to quickly and efficiently.

Wow, we're glad you had such a wonderful experience with us!
I love living here and the office management and maintenance team are wonderful!!
Kind, safe, home style community with compassionate staff. Love living here!
Maintenance staff have been amazing! Very prompt service, friendly, and professional.
Here at Woodview the office staff and maintenance are personable and professional. Maintenance requests are done in a timely manner. Residents are generally friendly and courteous. Also, it is very dog friendly which is a big plus. My dog loves it here too!
The apartments are beautiful and in an incredibly safe and warm neighborhood.
I have lived at Woodview Legacy for 7 years. I could not be happier with the high caliber of professional management, office and maintenance staff. Staff does an excellent job of communicating and providing updates of anything going on. Maintenance checks are done regularly and they fix any problems quickly and explain clearly what they did. Office addresses concerns to satisfaction! If you enjoy safe, quiet, peaceful living in a non-smoking environment, then this is the place. Neighbors are respectful of others. I am proud to live here.
I have been here for about 5 years. The only problem is the carpet is hard to keep clean even having it cleaned by professional carpet company.
I lived here for a year and had a really good experience. The staff are very nice and the pool, gym, lounge area are well maintained. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. The only annoying thing is packages got misplaced a couple of times because the UPS guys kept getting really confused by the layout (although this might be because the neighborhood is newer). Any maintenance issues were promptly addressed in 24 hours and they were always very polite. Overall I would recommend this place! It's a little pricey but great quality!
My family and I recently relocated to Hopkinton from Las Vegas, NV. We had a little help from family in the area picking a place to live but for the most part we were forced to wing it. Moving cross country is an ordeal in itself. Add finding an apartment complex based on Internet searches and phone calls and it becomes scary. The office staff never seem bothered by my repeated phone calls or emails about minor details or random musings. For anyone that has been to Las Vegas away from the strip a lot of buildings and houses have a luxurious look to them, but it is just a facade with cheap materials underneath. You can find a similar facade at the major corporate apartments in the metro west area that promise lavish interiors but often fail to deliver outside of a few select show piece apartments. With Woodview we did about as much diligence as we could, but still had our doubts. Thankfully any doubts quickly disappeared once we moved in. The kitchen has beautiful countertops, quality stainless appliances and sturdy cabinets. The few bad reviews which appear to be made by one or two people did bother us, but I am also guilty of only writing reviews when something turns out bad and I also tend to exaggerate as well due to anger or frustration. While I plan to work on being more positive with reviewing when merited, starting here, we are fortunate we looked past the one negative and continued to research Woodview. The choice of using quality materials is apparent throughout the living area. There is no "mickey mouse" patchwork anywhere. Nestled inside the Legacy Farms development and bordered by conservation land the complex is a brief walk from Rte.135 and yet far enough away where traffic noise is nonexistent. The neighbors we have met are friendly and had some great recommendations. If you are looking for quiet comfortable living this is it!
While every other apartment complex in the Metrowest area throws around "luxurious living" every chance they get Woodview is probably the closest thing you will find. The complex borders conservation land and has miles of wooded trails within walking distance, literally next to the complex. The complex itself also has sidewalks throughout for walking. Taymil did encounter bumps after they took over, but now appear to have a full time manager and office staff and any concerns are addressed promptly. We are given regular snow updates and snow removal plans (old management didn't). There is also a monthly newsletter - mostly fluff - but kinda neat. 1 bedrooms apartments usually run $1600-1700 depending on time - common for Metrowest area. Other complaints can easily be dismissed: every complex has central trash, recycling is single stream program (nice) and is picked 1-2 times a week. Gift card promotion had common fine print, tenant had to stay a certain time before gift card was issued to avoid complex getting scammed. Route 9, Rte 20, Rte 85, Rte 135 all have heavy traffic during peak times - nothing new there. Still not a bad location for commuting. Feel free to look around and compare. Woodview is one of the top locations in the Metrowest with comparable pricing. ~Will
It has been a shame ever since Taymil Partners bought the property a few months ago. They have neglected to maintain the property in a 'luxuary' fashion in order to justify charging $1960 a month for a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment. They have shown little to no concern for their current residents' requests as they consistently ignore emails/phone calls and in person visits. They are currently running a promotion where if you refer a friend, you shall receive a $500 gift card for “Holiday Shopping, Cha-Ching.” However, once you fulfill your end of the deal, 4 weeks and no gift card has proven their integrity otherwise. Do not be fooled by their website which boasts luxurious apartment details and amenities. The 'rustic New England' club house will run you $50/hr or $195 to rent (depending on which staff member you speak to). The 'internet lounge with conference' room hardly hosts a wi-fi signal long enough to connect your phone, let alone a lap top. The 'wellness center featuring state-of-the-art' equipment requires wi-fi in order to use their functions. Therefore, it is nothing more than a room with 4 treadmills, a broken elliptical stationary bikes and mismatched rusted weights. The gorgeous salt-water pool will cost you $15 a guest and the central fire-pit gets turned off in October. The 'robust community recycling program' is nothing more than a dumpster pit used by the entire complex. Do not rent an apartment in close proximity because the lack of trash pick-up causes an unfriendly odor. It is 23 miles and approximately 1.5hr commute outside of Boston. People, there is a reason the facility is merely 50% occupied. If you plan on commuting by using route 135, 495 or the pike, forget it! Rush hour in the town is ghastly. With only 2 roads in and out of town (Rt135 & Rt85) traffic is a nightmare. Trust me, look elsewhere.
Property Manager at Halstead Hopkinton, Responded To This Review
We are sorry you feel that way about the community. If you did refer a friend to move in please contact the office as we are more than happy to pay a referral fee for any resident that you referred on their first visit. Our club house does rent for private parties, however our residents may use the movie room and pool table after hours with a deposit only. The fitness center equipment is checked regularly, if you notice something isn't working correctly please contact the office so we can address it. I'm not sure why you believe we are at a 50% occupancy, when our community has never done better. It is our goal to make this an enjoyable community for everyone. Thank you for your comments. Woodview at Legacy Farms
The gym and pool are both in the center of the complex, as well as a beautiful common room that I rented out for a party (deposit required but I received it back). They are all top notch! Great in-apartment features, although the drywall installation around the tub was not done perfectly. Overall, a positive experience!
