Property Ratings at Halston
The apartment complex has bugs, all of my neighbors have spoken about it. I’ve witnessed it. Many times the water has been turned off for an extensive amount of time. Management will will rarely contact you back. Packages go missing. Vehicles get broken in to. A neighbor of mine had her door busted in by a crackhead. The gates rarely work. I 12/10 don’t recommend especially since rent is only increasing and there’s no reason it should be with the amount of issues. Also, while away for business for many weeks, somehow my electricity bill (that Management bills you for) was $100 more than normal.
Just recently moved into a studio and fell in love as soon as the door was opened had a couple of minor problems but the problems were fixed in a very timely manner! Best apartments i’ve seen while apartment hunting so I just had to! And LaShaye was very professional, helpful and explained everything to me. It’s a Quiet place but people are pretty friendly if you see them outside of their apartment. Looking forward to the next 11 months in the Halston!
Management (which is always changing) is slow to respond to issues, the apartments themselves are not built well (many structural issues), parking is terrible, and there is a lot of crime in the community. The rent is low, but so is the quality of living at Halston.
I don't do reviews to often I am compelled to do one, really excited in the direction of Halston Apartments Dallas. I just completed my renewal and it was easy breezy thanks to the staff in the office staying after business hours to get me taken care of so I wouldn't have to pay late fees. Cassie and team I'm here for the long haul and thank you again!!

Broken appliances, bugs everywhere, wet garages, low security. File w/o’s With little to very slow response. Stink and dirt in most public spaces. We don’t necessarily blame NightVest, but the property owners are out of touch or don’t care.

I can't agree at all with any of the negative posts here. I've been at Halston Apst (formerly The Vineyards) for right at 9yrs. For one thing, the new mgmt just totally remodeled every bldg on the property and redid the landscaping. Everything is upgraded, modern and nice. I'm very proud and happy to live here. The staff are experienced and efficient. I agree with another poster that Cassie is excellent to work with. She's been here long term and knows everything. She could run the property by herself and practically has at times in the past. I have no bug infestation but any place can because some residents aren't as clean as others in keeping their kitchen clean and trash removed. Is that the mgmt's fault? Hardly. It's also a very quiet, large property. I have nothing to complain about and there are lots of nice people here, some who are return residents and some longer term than I am. I've been very happy here, and have no reason to move.

The remodel is cosmetic only. They have not done anything to improve the underlying issues which make this place suck. Until they have done something about the plumbing and trash disposal stay away from here. The dumpster for the building is inside a room with a door connecting to the lobby. This leads to an infestation of bugs and many delightful smells greeting me when I get home. Most of the time its full and garbage is spilling into the lobby. Good luck sleeping through the night if your neighbor decides to run their water. Pipes will let out a high pitched squeek and be generally annoying until they are done. Also, stray cats everywhere. I'm out as soon as my lease is up. They're going to try and raise rent on me by over $150 and offer nothing of value for that.

Not once have I seen a bed bug in my entire life until we moved to The Halston. We moved in with brand new furniture, that will now probably have to be thrown out. I have a one year old son, and it seems the office/"landlord" doesn't care. We have notified them about their infestation, and the person they sent tried to act as if it wasn't the building. When In fact we've never had this issue at my old apartments, EVER! They can undergo a "multi-million" Dollar renovation but can't get an exterminator out here to do a one time heat treatment asap? Makes no sense. I suggest not living here, I'm sure the building is already infested. DO NOT TAKE THE CHANCE.

Just five minutes from White Rock Lake. With convenience stores and a bar half a block away and Walmart five minutes to the south near I30 The vineyards is close to everything but also makes you forget dallas is only twenty minutes away. The Vineyards is a great place for a 6 month or year lease. They have two pools, a hot tub, a small gym that is always empty and has the equipment to keep you in shape. Also all of the apartment buildings have an elevator and a laundry station inside for convenience. The apartments are very spacious with a fire place and patio, and at a lower then normal price. As for the maintenance they are all about getting work done as soon as possible. Currently I'm on a year lease and love it here.
These are facts: you will be taken advantage of once you have moved in. Beware move in special rate deals. Management increased my rent by 30% (c. $150 on an original $560 per month fee) when I could not sign up for a 12 month extension. Knowing that I had little choice - they gouged me for three additional months. I am so happy that I left and found another complex. Its extortion. - Security is lax. The front gate is frequently open. Access to the buildings is easy. Garage doors are left unlocked. - Apartments are old, poorly furnished and worse for wear - Facilities are OK - the pool is fine, nothing special. - The Gym is a joke, don't expect to work out properly. - My neighbors were very nice people and I never had any problems.
It's true: You probably won't get shot at The Vineyards...but you're not going to enjoy living here. That is, unless.....you love unkept grounds, insect infestations, and having your calls to 911 ignored by police.
