Situated a few miles west of the University of Florida, West Gainesville is the neighborhood where retail, residential, and rural collide. West Gainesville conveniently borders State Route 24, which provides easy access to other areas as well as massive retail centers. Celebration Pointe, Butler Plaza, and their surrounding plazas are all located along this road. If you’re searching for outdoor adventures, you’ll find it in town at Split Rock Conservation Area and Clear Lake Nature Park. The other parts of West Gainesville are made up of residential neighborhoods holding an array of affordable apartments.

Property Ratings at Savannah II
While I am fortunate enough to be able to have an apartment, finding one during the pandemic was difficult. The staff here have been absolutely wonderful. I worked with Daja on picking an apartment and signing a lease and she was incredibly patient and professional across several phone calls and facetime tours. The apartment is lovely, recently upgraded, quiet, and maintenance has been quick to fix any issues. There are some bad reviews but I think that was back when it was Hampton Oaks, and is now under new management, who have been great.
Major cockroach infestation that gradually increasing for months despite multiple attempts to contact management that were only ignored. I wish I could attach pictures to this post. It was absolutely disgusting. DO NOT MOVE HERE!
The staff that works in the office is terrible. They never respond to calls or emails the only way to get in contact is to go to the office which is located at the complex next door. they never have answers to questions and seem uninformed and have no idea what they’re talking about, they basically give you an answer so you’ll leave.
Beware!! My car got broken into when I lived here. Everyone is RUDE and they will charge you hidden cost and then not tell you even after you’ve moved.
Ever since the new management company took over, this complex has truly taken a turn for the worse. The office was moved to the complex next door, which is very inconvenient, and the workers there honestly don't seem to care as much about the residents in Hampton Oaks as they do about the residents in Savannah Apartments. When they changed the locks, they only gave us one key for two people and acted like it was a major inconvenience when we went back later in the week to ask for a second key. If you have a loud or rude neighbor, the office staff won't do anything to help resolve the issue, even though they will promise that these issues are always resolved promptly. Overall, this complex was much nicer a couple of years ago under the old management, and has steadily declined ever since.
