The office staff, including the manager was extremely rude when we called to ask about an apartment we had already put a deposit on! We were told the apartment would be ready at a certain time, not true, then we were told the manager wasn't able to speak to us because they're short staffed! When the manager finally called back we were told she was "too busy" to answer our questions!! But they took our deposit and asked for additional money prior to us even seeing the unit we were paying for! We will be getting our deposit back and have already found another apartment where staff is polite and professional! Please, find a better place to live! If they're this rude now, imagine how they must treat current residents! My family members have also decided to pass on this complex as well!

when i first moved there were bugs already in my apartment and management dosent seem to care at all. The place they moved me in was dirty and poorly cleaned before i was moved in . Holes in the walls and markings on the ceilings . They also do not take noise complaints seriously , the people staying above me made serious noise all night and the mangers did not care one bit . I don’t not recommend at ALL !! Not at all how they look on the pictures also .

Do not move here. The people in the office lie, maintenance does not come out to fix anything and if they DO come they don’t completely fix it. They charge outrageous/unnecessary fees and give a poor explanation as to why you’re being charged extra fees. There’s mold and the apartments are ridiculously overpriced for them to be so out of date. Save your money! These apartments SUCK!

Do you love a burning house during the summer with broken air conditioning? Do you love your appliances being so old/ outdated they stop working whenever they want. Come home to spoiled groceries in your fridge/ freezer since it went out mid day while you were gone. Pest control? That's a thing of the past and not something they provide (although they claim to, have you heard of a doorbell cam, you'd see them come but do not). Carpets are in poor condition upon move in, tub/ showers have moldy grout. Add in the 'landlord special" to all paint and/or repairs. Most of the outlets seem to be on one set as if you plug in more than 2 things it will shut off multiple lights and outlets. Hot water heaters are very insufficient as they do not even fill up the tub with lukewarm water, don't even think about hot. Paper thin walls, you can hear every fight your neighbors have rather you want to or not. Also there is a likely chance your car will get broken into in this neighborhood. Oh, it's gated? Yeah that gate is open 99% of the time and broken for months at a time. It is fixed for a few days then back to broken for another 6 months. If this sounds like home to you, welcome to Hampton place apartments....

It was my first apartment, and overall, I enjoyed my experience. The apartment was a good size for a starter, the office staff was always friendly and helpful, and the pools/playground was nice. My only complaint is sometimes it took multiple calls to get maintenance out to fix something, and something needed to change with the gates because sometimes you’d sit, waiting to get in, for 10 minutes because people couldn’t get in due to being guests. Other than that, I enjoyed my entire stay!
Office and maintenance staff are BEYOND helpful and excellent! Apartments and property could use some modernization and updating but I loved staying there !
We’ve been here for several months and it truly just gets worse. The potholes have been this way for years (I’ve had friends who lived here before). Our ceiling is molded and falling in. There are splinters in the railing outside. We are paying for a GATED community but have not had a gate for several months. Our electrical sometimes does not work and last but not least, when we moved in, none of the repairs were made on our apartment. I cannot wait for this lease to be up!!

My ceiling in the closest completely fell in after making several maintenance request before it started to leak and after it started to leak. Every time I called it was to no prevail and fell on deaf ears. I was told there are multiple buildings with roof issues and they're waiting for home office to approve the roofing company's contract. Also, maintenance can't do anything to any roofs until home office approves or disapproves the contract and the roofing company comes out and assess the damage. So until then I would have to "just put a bucket under the leak" that they did not provide. But they would send someone to make sure the ceiling wouldn't fall in, that someone never came. The leak was in my closet which is in the room so when it rained through the night I was forced to listen to rain drop in a bucket all night or sleep on my sofa. It rained for a full day and all night, 2 days later the ceiling falls in luckily I moved all my belongings from the floor and near the leak and brown area. I contacted emergency maintenance and they couldn't come until the next morning, so much for emergency, which means I had to sleep with a hole in my ceiling praying nothing falls through. This place cares nothing about the health or well being of it's tenants. the security gate was knocked down for months. So, if you have underlying health issues or simply can't afford to live with mold or a water damaged ceiling/roof I would not recommend. Also no matter how much you clean or don't clean you're bound to see a few dead or alive bugs inside your apartment. The amount of dog poop the tenants don't pick up after letting their dogs poop is ridiculous.

Property Staff are unorganized.... you have to speak to the property manager to actually get things accomplished... Spoke to 2 different office staff and neither one of them followed through.... When we initially moved in, things were handled better... It has gone down hill in the past 2 years... Apartments are spacious but if you need to deal with the office, ask to speak to management only!!!! The rent is very affordable though.... that is the main reason we stayed as long as we did....
My apartment had a leak in the ceiling that I brought to the staff's attention multiple times but it never got fixed. Instead they gave me every excuse in the book. One maintenance man even accused us of lying about the leak because by the time he showed up an hour later it had stopped. I soon found out that another leak was in my closet and resulted in black mold, still they never brought anyone out to fix it. It got so bad that I was forced to move out. They never offered any apologies or any solutions. Please please don't live here, its not good for anyone's health!
The community is nice, gated and with adequate facilities. The gym is well equipped and the two pools are nice and clean. The office staff very courteous. However the houses are poorly designed. The bedroom has one small window which opens to a corridor. Very little light and air. Without the lights, even at noon the house will remain dark. The walls are paper thin and there is constant noise of footsteps throughout the night. So a good property if you get a top floor and can live without a lot of daylight and fresh air.
Hampton Place is located on the North side of Columbus and has 2 pools, 2 car washes, 2 laundry mats and a gym. The buildings are well maintained and the staff is courteous. It is a convenient 5 minute drive to all the shopping on this side of town, and the primary roads are decent with regards to traffic.
Hampton place apts staff are the nicest staff I have came across since I've been living in apartments. The apartment itself is spacious and very clean when I first moved in
Hampton Place has something for everyone! Whether your looking for corporate living, single housing, have a family, or living with or without a pet, this is the atmosphere to be in. Centrally located in the city this gated community has two salt water swimming pools, beautiful landscaping, carwash stations, updated gym, dog parks, club houses, kiddie parks, and a wide array of activities geared for all. Surrounded by great schools, shopping, and food, I Absolutely love it here! I am a single parent of two teenagers and the updated kitchen, ceiling fans, central heat and air, firplace, washer dryer hookups (there are clean on site laundry facilities)nice views from the porch, extra storage, nice sized master bedroom and bathroom, walk in closets are a plus. Maintenance is always on call and everyone is so friendly. I have been living here a year now and I do not plan on moving until I decide to purchase a house.
