Situated between Ann Arbor and Brighton along U.S. 23, Whitmore Lake is a small town with big character. A strong sense of community pervades Whitmore Lake, with annual events like the Fourth of July Celebration, Harvest Festival, and Michigan Pond Hockey Classic drawing residents together in addition to the expansive Whitmore Lake, which is brimming with year-round activity.
Tranquil neighborhoods are draped in lush, natural beauty in Whitmore Lake and a slew of specialty shops and restaurants occupy charming buildings along scenic Main Street. Recreational opportunities abound at numerous nearby golf courses and parks such as Huron Meadows Metropark, Island Lake State Recreation Area, and Brighton Recreation Area. There are also abundant paintball adventures available at Futureball, a 115-acre outdoor paintball and Airsoft park.

Property Ratings at Harbor Cove Apartments & Beach Club
Lived here for two years with my cousin and we really enjoyed our stay! Staff and neighbors were very friendly and maintenance was always done promptly. You could tell that they cared. Snow plows were always on top of things and the sidewalks were usually salted during the winter. It was awesome having beach access and it was a very quiet area. Felt like up north. In a good way. Honestly, the only thing that I didn't like were the huge spiders. Everything else was great. The price was reasonable too. I recommend these to anyone!
How does one describe an apartment that was suited perfectly for a young professional for 2 years? Well, to begin, it is a perfect location. You are less than 2 minutes from US-23 and easily able to get to downtown Ann Arbor in 15 minutes and to Brighton in 10. You have beach access and an adorable beach house that you can utilize in the summer months. You are also able to rent it out on non-busy days for events and such. The apartments are somewhat dated, but will do the trick! Laundry is in your unit which is such a luxury now-a-days. The property manager, Emily is delightful and was always understanding of any issues and quick to resolve them.
I’m a current resident of Harbor Cove Apartments. I would highly discourage anyone from renting here. Over the past 6 months, my car has Been vandalized and damaged by other residents in the apartment. The management team has been notified more than once. NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. Management will not even respond to my requests for help. The parking lot is way overcrowded because the management company has rented small apartments to large families with numerous vehicles and they’ve done nothing to mitigate the overcrowded lots. They have done nothing to add adequate levels of security or protection to the parking lot. I’ve lived here for three years and I am counting down the days for when I leave here. If you care about your Vehicle, your personal property, your safety, do not rent an apartment at Harbor Cove.
Me and my Wife spent 2 years at Harbor Cove before moving into your first home. The whole staff was friendly and easy to do business with. We never had any neighbor problems either. You can’t beat the private beach during the summers for fishing and swimming.
I lived in Harbor cove apartment for more than 2 years and I loved the place so much. I liked the floor plan with a loft and lake view. The neighbor are quiet. Management responded quickly whenever I asked for maintenance. The town is lovely and only 20 mins from downtown Ann arbor.
As my first apartment, I might be naive to some things, but what I'm not naive to is not properly preparing an apartment for a new resident. Harbor Cove had my apartment in their possession for 15 days before I was allowed to move in. What did they do in those 15 days? It appears to be nothing except clean the carpet and paint the walls. When I moved in my blinds in my room look like someone spilled Coke on them, there was some kind of dark brown substance on the inside shelf of my fridge, my light for my balcony is out, my runner in my hall closet is broken/not properly installed, the grips for the cabinetry were DISGUSTING filled with I don't even know what, but I gagged the whole time I cleaned them because they were so gross. I am laughing at myself I guess for not properly paying attention to every little thing in this apartment before signing my lease, but I am extremely upset with this complex and I've literally been here less than a week. If this is how they want to leave an impression on a new resident then that's their problem, but I will make sure everyone knows what little thought they put into preparing their apartments. Oh, and when you sign it isn't a full year lease. They are the only complex I've ever heard of BACKDATING a lease start date (I moved in September 15th, so my lease should end 9/15/18 or actually 9/30/18, but instead it ends 8/31/18.)
