Property Ratings at Harbor House
They’re seriously telling us to remove mats from our front doors! Why not worry about fixing the potholes, fixing the carpets and cracks on the walls in the apartment! Washers and dryers haven’t worked in weeks! Worry about IMPORTANT issues!
I lived in two separate apartments and both had leaks and black mold growing. I had to do my own repairs, as management would put a “maintenance request” in, but no one would ever come. When I would call again days later, they’d say that they were told someone came by. Even if they did come by, they’d look at the issue and say they’d come back to fix it. They wouldn’t. Walls are extremely thin, so forget about privacy. Cops were constantly at the complex for issues. Management could care less about you. The front office is rude and unprofessional. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!
Lived here a long time and this is by far the worst place anymore. nothing is fixed properly constant floods and they do a lousy job fixing everything or getting there to fix it. Mold in the walls nothing is taken care of and when they do come they leave a mess. They say we don’t do this or that and what do you do but collect my rent every month. Get some good maintenance people who know what they’re doing. My advice stay away.
The low rent is a true sign. Everything is low level living. Unsafe environment. Open entry doors draw transients, homeless people. Apts are outdated. Nothing ever repaired right. They only collect rent. Only grass is kept cut for eye candy. Ride around the place and watch out for potholes. Walk thru some buildings and smell the truth for yourself. Worn out soiled carpets. No fresh paint anywhere. And if you see papers rolled up at apt doorknobs, those are the residents late rent notices for all to see and read. Grim atmosphere.
Do not repeat, Do NOT move here. Not even the so called lofts. The hallways lights are out, you will have use your phone or flash light. Or be home before dark. Big Crater pot holes, with no parking spaces. Your car will definitely be damaged. Maintenance never comes. You pay thousands to come out your broken main door. To see a matress, furniture dump in and out dumpster with maggots jumping out. Signed waiting for lease to be done.
Infested with rodents, don’t want to fix anything, good at giving run around to tenants.... they are all about the money.... worst of the worst, wish I could post these pictures
I like it here. It feels like home and the crew in the office is nice and pleasant. So far so good.
Moved into one of the newly constructed one-bedrooms and I love it. Apartment is cozy and the building is fairly quiet. You occasionally hear your neighbor but nothing outrageous. Having a washer/dryer in my apartment is a huge plus for me. Mel
I have enjoyed my time here so far and think it's a good place to live. My building is decent and I love my neighbors. The office staff is nice and good about getting my requests resolved. I think the price is fair and in a good location close to 495. Only one downside--the parking. Still a nice place to live.
Horrible mouse infested dirty hallways laudry expensive they don't want to fix anything.. DONT DO IT CONSIDER MOVING SOMEPLACE ELSE. The only good thing is the pool and utilities besides electric included. They think that because they pay the heat they can cut it off whenever. Debbie the mAnager is a nice person though.
This place is the worse………….. Infested with mice and bed bugs. I moved out because the infection with mice was so bad.
this is a nice building, freindly people nice lawn care, swimming people ,visitors parking lot, childrens play area.ver nice staff plenty of shopping in this area
If you're looking for a convenient place to live, Harbor House Apartments is where you should be. One can easily access the train and/or interstate highways for an easy commute to points north and south. The apartments themselves are spacious and affordable. The property management and staff are friendly and helpful. The grounds are well-maintained. There is a community pool for all to enjoy. A home awaits you at Harbor House Apartments.
Located five minutes to I-95 and train station this apartment complex offers quick travel to several major cities. Large rooms and spacious decks with storage create a very comfortable living area. Friendly staff and maintenance crew are just a phone call away. Grounds are always attractive, with a pool area and playground for children. Watch ships travel the river and know you are home.
I have been a resident of Harbor House Apartments for 10 years. For eight years, my oldest son was also resident with me in a two bedroom apt. After his passing in 2013, I continued in the unit. This apartment complex is located off Gov. Printz highway and looks out on the Delaware River. I love the open view across to the Jersey shore of the river. The Management staff are very pleasant and provide excellent support to the residents. The variety of units makes it easy to find the perfect choice for one's housing needs. Leasing can be on a month to month basis or full year. Key-locked Postal mailboxes are in entrance foyer of each twelve unit building. Landscaping is maintained with seasonal displays throughout the year by Crescent Mgmt., owners of the complex. Maintenance needs are quickly responded too with office follow-up to confirm completion of repairs. Parking is secure because all residents must register their vehicles with the office and display the parking permit sticker on their window screen. Amenities include the swimming pool and accommodations for pets, plus trash removal services. Claymont is a small residential community. There are sufficient resources such as banks, shops, pharmacies, gas stations, fast food restaurants and groceries stores all within a one and half-mile radius from the apt. Major transit service is available with a short walk of two blocks up to Philadelphia Pike (Rt. 13.) A short drive of less than two miles brings one to the Claymont Rail Station serviced by Philadelphia SEPTA Regional rail lines and Amtrak National lines. Express trains run both to Wilmington, DE and Philadelphia, PA. One can run the rails along the entire eastern corridor of rail transportation from the Claymont Station. This is a welcoming community.
location is right down from septa/amtrak rail ...also there is dart busline right outside ...library & post office nearby ...THK/s..?
After visiting the property and chatting with residents, I feel this property to be a good value for the price. The office staff was friendly and helpful--residents visiting the office were treated like family. Definitely on my list for my future move.
This complex fails in all aspects of being a landlord. The units are in poor condition and it is their policy to do the minimal possible maintenance. The office staff is unhelpful, ineffective, and often unfriendly. They are also in a poor location.
Has the health department seen this place? From the smells, when you first enter the apartment units to the roaches in the apartments. The windows are old and single pane and have silver tape on them. You can tell 30 years ago it would have been a great place to stay.
The photos you see in the pictures are the model apt and when you come that is the apt they show you, not the unit your moving into. The actual apt.'s are run down looking. they look nothing like the pictures you see or model, they are similar to it. The laundry facility is dirty and run down and the dryer vents are hooked to the units bathroom vents, so lent from the dryers comes into your bathroom. The grounds don not look like the photos either, their not that nice looking, driveway has pot holes and in some areas the parking lot floods.
