Very quick service and the are very welcoming people who work in the office! It took less than 3 weeks for the MOVE-IN process. It's very quiet living and a nice view of the surrounding area of this lovely Complex! I love it here my New Home!

First of all Gio was very helpful and explains everything very well and a nice person. Second I'm happy and like the place alot quite neighbors and peaceful.

It's so great to live in a spacious apartment and friendly atmosphere. It feels great because it is safe, quite and pleasant.

I love the built in storage shelves and the wall length closets are nice too. If you speak with Gio you're in for a real treat. He's super friendly and helpful ans will make you feel at home when you sign your lease

We live there for 1 year, we think we will have a bigger place for all the pictures tat we saw in the website but I was really small, and we stay there but then at the second month of rent they raised up the rent and it was kind of unfair. Also the hallway always was sticky. But all the stuff was really nice.

Living here is a great experience, all of the staff are very great and accommodating people. I’d recommend everyone coming here.

I have lived here for a year and half now, I’ve gotten the best service especially for it being my first time renting as well. The manager Kalli is awesome and I really recommend coming here if you want a good place to live.

Management is terrible. They have prices set in the lease and then as you’re moving out they up the charges! The also say they’ve “contacted” you but I never seen a phone call/ voicemail/ or an email. Had a leakage and maintenance came by and tore a hole in the ceiling and never came to fix it so now I’m being charged to cover it up. When it wasn’t even my fault. Shootings right at my window. The pest control they hire don’t even do they’re jobs! And they come monthly to ONLY ask “is there any bugs” and just walk around you’re apartment looking around as if to report back to the office. I’m sorry if I pay rent, you shouldn’t be reporting anything that’s not your business to assume and not breaking lease. My house was clean but since I was having a virtual baby shower I had so many gifts unopened and they reported that my apartment was “dirty” and they knew well I was pregnant and knew I picked up packages everyday. And tried to charge me $200. Constant scammers coming to your door, from “ComEd” but really just collecting your information and they just keep harassing since the office unlocks building door for them.

Harbor Lake Apartments failed to meet even the most basic standards of customer service, upkeep, and living conditions. I opted to break my lease early for several reasons. First, despite security cameras set up on the property, I had several packages stolen from the premises and the office showed zero initiative or concern for the loss. Additionally, the neighbors smoked in all the common areas and left trash everywhere. I was constantly picking up after them, otherwise the trash would stay for over a week without anyone doing anything about it. Additionally, after many complaints to the office about a leak in the ceiling, it took the ceiling falling apart for them to send a maintenance worker to repair it. I had to live with a 3'x4' hole in the ceiling and buckets to catch water for a week before it was fixed. The front office was usually difficult to reach, often closing early without a notice to the residents. There is no notification of mail packages to residents, so if it isn't stolen by another resident they'll send it back. Which is really great when a distant family member sends surprise packages, since you won't be visiting the office daily to check. Any interaction I had with the customer service agents was short and rude, they weren't very helpful and overall difficult to deal with. So, I decided my money was better spent on a location and company who would better appreciate it. I opted out of my lease and had to pay an excessive amount- which I did gladly. The clerks refused to give me official documentation of what was owed and would only provide me with a number on a post-it. Nevertheless, I paid the fee in full and was assured everything was taken care of. I scrubbed the apartment, to include shampooing and spot treatment of the carpet then left the premises for good. Six months later, I'm reviewing my credit report and get a notification of a collections from a company who works for Harbor Lakes apartments saying I owe more money. Harbor Lakes never made an attempt to contact me via phone or mail. Overall dissatisfied with the service, apartment, and lack of human decency provided by this company. 10/10 would never return.

A person who worked there before warned me but i didnt beIieve BUTi would never recommend this place. Below quality apartments but raise your rent every year. Completely and totally unprofessional , when u walk in you more than likely walking to over hear the apartment complex manager Belittling and berating some client on the phone I've witnessed on more than one occasion. Their staff offers direction then denies they ever spoke to you. Complex has flooded twice with no compensation from management. The hallways are dirty and smelly, There are shady characters all over , cops are always there for one thing or another mostly fights in the hallway, domestic assaults and robberies and drugs. The buck stops with the front office u cant get to upper management they just don't care which makes the front office feel they can treat you any way and talk to you any way they choose with no consequence. The apartment advertised and the one u get are quite different, pay a little more and go someplace else the laundry rooms have mold half the time half the washers and dryers don't work and takes months to be fixed, bathtubs have been painted and repainted and crack almost immediately. The kitchen cabinets have been repainted again and again some are coming off the walls separating at the seams , and lets not forget THE MICE!!! My shoes were chewed in the closet from mice two different pair one pair has a nest !!! the closet doors will literally drive u cray they never stay on their track!!! My car was broken into for change by the crack heads in the neighborhood for the change i had in my center console CHANGE thats it not worth it!!! Besides the substandard apartments and amenities the one thing that will definitely have to deal with at one point or another will be that ridiculous staff!! one is more RUDE THAN THE NEXT!! SAVE YOURSELF ALOT OF AGGRAVATION dont rent here!!!

I have lived here for over 5 years and personally I love it here! The office staff is great and always try to go above and beyond to help.I do not understand the negative reviews except for maybe people that do not get their way and get in trouble for not following the rules so they are spiteful. Realistically those are the ones with negative views of this place. In my opinion and from my experience being a long term tenant this is the best in the market for the price and location. Office staff and maintenance are all as helpful as they can be and my apartment is very spacious and well kept. I am glad I moved in and gave this place a chance. Everyone has their own view and this is mine.

Shootings two nights in a row. The staff, especially the property manager are rude and disrespectful. The place is filthy and the neighbors are loud. Definitely not worth the money. I can’t wait to move!

If what you’re looking for is a waste of money and a headache then you have hit the jackpot. I can't wait to move out.

I would definitely not recommend living here. I have been dealing with loud neighbors non stop. woken up to neighbors arguing at 5am on a Sunday morning or to another blasting music. Horrible staff. they don't care.

Lived here a very short time and it is awful. Filthy building, rude/incompetent office staff and lots of hidden fees/ not explained rules. Rodent issue, security issues, parking issues, and just ISSUE AFTER ISSUE. Felons in complex, drugs etc...

Please don’t waste your time. The people who sit at the front desk is polite but when you have real problems the property manger sucks. I’ve been complaining about a rodent issue and the property manger have an attitude when discussing the problem.

My husband and I had a terrible experience at Harbor Lake during the year that we lived there... When we first signed our lease, they told us that they waived the application fee for us and then about 2 weeks or so later, they were calling and threatening to charge us a late fee for not paying the full amount due for rent because they were including the application fee that they said they waived, and refused to honor what they told us earlier. The assistant manager was extremely rude and simply said that the people in the office messed up our documents and that they wouldn't honor the "waived fee" that they initially told us. After a couple months of living there, our apartment flooded because they didn't properly seal the area where the floor meets the wall and all of our personal items, including a basket of freshly washed laundry, smelled like mold. They were accommodating enough to move us to an empty unit across the hall at no cost because of the extreme inconvenience. Orkin supposedly comes every so often but there's mouse poop all over the place and roaches. We never left food out and constantly were spraying for bugs but the roaches still showed up all the time. The office staff and maintenance people are very rude. Everyone seems nice when you first move in but the second something goes wrong it's next to impossible to get assistance. READ YOUR LEASE DOCUMENTS CLOSELY because they will charge you at least $175 at move out for touch up paint or make you paint yourself and provide your own brushes. Would NOT recommend this apartment to anyone. Paper thin walls, smelly and rude neighbors, bad area, not safe, rude staff, extremely dirty.

I’ve been here for a while now and i honestly have no complaints about the place

Rude and awful office staff. Hidden and petty fees. I’ve gotten eviction notices on my door after rent has been paid. Low quality apartment. Tub was painted white, has since chipped very badly at the bottom, requested a fix months ago nothing. I’ve had leaks in my bathroom ceilings multiple times to the point they came in and had to redo bathroom after many bad patch jobs. Cheap appliances. LOW QUALITY!! If I could leave no stars I would.

One star is generous. I've never had my blood boil so quickly as trying to deal with the property managers of this complex. Over the year I've lived here, I had two separate instances where my rent wouldn't be paid on time. The first time, I dealt with the leasing agent on duty directly. She was rude, disrespectful and offered her unwarranted opinion on a personal matter that didn't concern her. The second time she sat in her office and trash talked me to the leasing agent Kalli as if I wasn't sitting right around the corner. I don't understand how you work in hospitality and you have such a spiteful woman running your office. Do not live here. Do not give your business to these people.

Excellent office personnel. They help you and follow up with you as well. I signed my lease a coupe of days ago, can't wait to move in. The apartments are comfortable as well the huge closet space is amazing.
