Surrounded on three sides by water, Bayonne is connected to Staten Island by the Bayonne Bridge and facing Queens to the east and Newark to the west. While historically a city built upon shipping and industry, the local economy now leans more heavily on healthcare, with the Bayonne Medical Center serving as the largest local employer. Broadway serves as the main commercial corridor of the city, flanked on either side by residential neighborhoods.
The housing market incorporates a wide selection of historic apartment buildings and charming single-family homes; while rental rates can be a bit steep, they are quite competitive for the New York area, which has drawn commuters who seek close access to the city without the exorbitant cost of living. Bayonne also benefits from a very low crime rate, boosting the appeal for folks seeking a quieter home environment than the Big Apple can offer.

Property Ratings at Harbor Pointe
Awesome Property to leave peacefully. Great community, Great location and Great service.Living in this property for more than 3 years and continue to stay another couple of years
Great community to live in. Very safe and friendly neighbors, view and walking areas are great for pets, children and anyone looking to get outside and moving.
Apartment is great, however, the management is not accountable for things like parking’s cleaning or applying fees for those renters that smoke inside their apartments or in common areas where is forbidden.
Really enjoying my apartment and the amenities, I have access to the gym , 24/7 and transportation to and from Grove St , close to 2 different malls
I am really unhappy with the lack of attention to the gym. As residents we pay a lot of money annually for the “amenities” but I’ve lived here for two years and have watched the status of the gym continually decline. I have written two emails to management about the poor state of the gym. I didn’t receive a response to either email nor was any action taken to improve the status of the gym. We have treadmills that have been broken for months and haven’t been repaired or replaced and there are many broken or missing pieces to the weight machines. Every spring when the weather starts getting warmer, the climate in the gym gets to be ridiculously hot. It will consistently get into the high 70s and low 80s but neither management or facilities will turn the air conditioning on. The fact that my complaints have gone completely ignored just shows you the culture of the management at this residence. They only want to lock you into a lease, there is no commitment to providing good service.
We moved in to this apartment last year, it has been a wonderful experience so far. Also, having the shuttle service really helps with the commute.
I currently live in this community, and it’s truly beautiful. I really enjoy the environment here; it’s exceptionally pleasant. I love the gym, the various facilities, and the attentive service they provide. Having lived here for almost six months, I feel very comfortable and have had a wonderful living experience.
Being a resident here is subpar. Management doesn’t listen to our concerns on how to better improve our experience when it comes to the shuttle. An amenity I use very frequent. They also take forever to respond back to us and the lack of events they have sucks. Other complexes truly show out for their residents as show by their events and communication.
Excellent community to live in and great services at the Harbor Pointe and very punctual maintenance services team with a wealth of knowledge and very caring.
Harbor Pointe is located very lucratively by the water and great shopping. The maintenance used to be a lot better. Now the gardens are not cared for as much as a few years ago. The neighborhood communities have beautiful gardens and plants and Harbor Pointe fades in comparison. It’s a beautiful community with good amenities like the pool and gym and game room is great. But package’s get stolen and lost often with no resolution and no steps taken to stop this. The admin team is friendly.
It’s been great living here. Safe community for my family and I. I enjoy being able to walk alongside the water and the comfort and size of my apartment.
Staff here is so nice and helpful. The move in process was quick and easy. A few minor issues with my unit but I’m hopeful they will be addressed quickly.
So excited to live here. the area is family oriented and I love that there is a nearby child care it is amazing and looks safe for the kids.
It’s is a nice experience to live with this community. Pleasant atmosphere, amenities are good, bus service is good. Surrounding weather is cool and relaxing
Pros: - Less rent compared to nearby apartments - Nice locality with all amenities - Maintenance service is very good Cons: - Sometimes, corridors are dirty and smelly. Most of the days smells of weed - You have to have all correspondence with management only through mail. Sometimes it takes 2-3 days to get a response. Walk-ins are discouraged by current management. - Roof seems made out of paper, you can hear folks walking on the apartment one floor above.
Great place… big rooms at affordable cost. Love the gym and playhouse for kids . Would be much better if the management is available when we need
We’ve just moved in and the maintenance team has been absolutely phenomenal in helping us with any concerns or issues that we found from the previous tenants.
it has been a 2 weeks and i am enjoying all of it. The community offers spacious floor plans with modern amenities, including updated kitchens, in-unit laundry, and ample storage space. The grounds are well-maintained, featuring lovely landscaping and a refreshing pool area perfect for summer relaxation. The on-site gym is convenient and decently equipped. The management team is responsive and friendly, addressing maintenance requests promptly.
Harbor pointe used to be one of the best communities in Bayonne but sadly now the standard has declined. The hallways are not as well maintained and debris piles are quite a usual sight. The location and view is fantastic with great shopping and easy commute. Beautiful cruise ships and parks nearby. Just wish the maintenance & cleanliness is improved. Staff is friendly and helpful.
I enjoy living here, it’s a nice and safe community. Everything is easily accessible. I enjoy living by the water and taking long walks………..
I love the area but the building looks a little messy. Packages are all over the package room. Sometimes the hallways smell like garbage. The carpet doesn’t look clean it looks old. I really like my apartment though.
Community is good with all amenities . Very good exposure, gym, kids play area. Good neighbor relationship. Parking facility and all amenities inside the unit
I have lived in Harbor Point for about a week and a half. To kick things off, I received the wrong address from leasing and had all utilities set up for the wrong apartment. Secondly, my dryer wasn't working and three drains were clogged when I moved in. Three people have since come in an attempt to fix my drains however one pf them still isn't draining at all and it is in the shower. Additionally, I have received a brand new washer and dryer unit, but the hose has a massive hole and has been leaking water onto my floor. I have called in an attempt to get it fixed but nothing has been done. Lastly, I find it very hard to contact leasing especially since they are only open during the hours that I am working. I am very unhappy and it has only been a week i am not excited to see what the next year and a half will hold.
Ok types apartment. Not good or so bad. Not safe at all . Trash rooms are not close properly. Hallways n stairs are always smelly , peoples having drugs n smoking in stairs
This place is worth every penny. From the amazing views by the water to the beautifully preserved landscape you’ll fall in love with this place the second you get here. I think the most amazing thing about this property is that it is pet friendly.
Nice community to live in jersey city. Community is at very good location and everything is accessible from here. Light rail is also near by
Beautiful location with great walking space. Some issues at move in as the apt was not ready to be moved into. Maintenance is good with minir problems only.
We are pass our first year and are totally settled in and loving our space, the peace and quiet the maintenance responds within a reasonable time. The management office staff is excellent, any issues addressed with professional, looking forward to another summer in our home
Nice area, nice community. Great place to raise a child. I wish the pool and pool area would remain clean for the 3 months it’s open, hopefully a better job is done this year.
Excellent services and great management and maintenance teams very attentive and very efficient makes the quality of life great at Habor Pointe
Great, everyone here is very helpful. The leasing office answered all my questions when moving in, maintenance takes care of all requests quickly.
Didn’t move in yet but looks like an excellent community. Staff very nice and accommodating. The building offers a gym and pool and a recreational area. When I asked residents if they like it there they only had positive things to say.
These are great apartments, pretty quiet buildings. However, there needs to be more done to hold pet owners accountable. There is dog poop in front of every entrance, the dog park is covered in poop so I cannot even bring my own dog in there, and people leave their dogs on their balconies for hours on end. Another major issue is people using the dog park as their own personal doggy day care. I have seen owners leave up to 3 dogs in the park alone, and return hours later to pick them up. Lastly, the cops have been ticketing cars a lot. I've had to appeal two parking tickets that had no grounds. One was that I was parked within 15 feet of a crosswalk. The back of my car was sticking out over the designated parking spot by not even two inches and there is no yellow on any of the corners as well. Ticket was dismissed, but ridiculous that this keeps happening to residents and we have to take the time to fight these tickets.
My experience with the apartment management’s package security measures has been deeply disappointing. Despite assurances of a secure delivery system, packages have gone missing multiple times, highlighting a significant failure in management’s responsibilities. Requests for assistance regarding lost or stolen packages have been met with indifference and a lack of cooperation. The management’s response to these incidents has been irresponsible, showing a disregard for residents’ concerns and well-being. Overall, the management’s negligence in package security and their lack of support in resolving such issues reflect poorly on their commitment to providing a safe and secure living environment. Prospective residents should be wary of choosing this building.
The Apartment is wonderful, it is very spacious for my family of four. The neighborhood is very quiet and beautiful with lots of friendly people.
Just don’t live here. Rude people. Rude staff. Rude neighbors. No one is considerate here of others. Fire alarms in Every room, not fire detectors. Just don’t live here. You won’t have a Pleasant stay
Love my new apartment and the view that comes with it ! Can’t be more happier then having everything right at the comfort of your own home everything is so close for shopping.
My first 4 months exp was bad but after management change I have a better exp . First few months I struggle to get access card for my wife . No one came to help with washroom clogging I have to clean it my self . My wife was pregnant need to go emergency and forget to pay home bill 3 days late and I have been charged 500 fees even with valid reason
Very smooth process and the property managers on sight are all super nice and helpful! Even the small issues that we encountered in the apartment upon moving in was handled with care.
Love the area, the peace and quiet, haven’t had the best experience as far as some issues that need to be addressed inside of the apartment. Leasing agents have been great.
Everyone at the Leasing Office has been very welcoming and informative. They have a lot of units but still make sure to give individual attention. Shout out to Briana and Danielle! Looking forward to living here!
Apartment layouts are good , Maintenance team is also good , responsive and prompt response. Management office needs some improvement. No one in the office picks up the call. No consideration for the current residents.
Everyone is so friendly here! The valet trash is amazing, parking price is super affordable and reasonable, package and mailroom are always easy and organized
I really like my apartment. However, when I first moved in there were things that I already had to submit for maintenance off the bat. These things were obvious upon my first walkthrough, and would have also been obvious to any last minute walkthrough from the leasing office, which clearly did not happen. To their credit, most of the issues were fixed in a timely manner. The location is great if you have a car, if you don’t, and you want to go anywhere not during the workweek rush hours (via the shuttle), be prepared to pay for an Uber or Lyft. And the shuttle is typically very full especially at 5:30pm, and often runs late in the evenings. Those are my only complaints (aside from my incredibly noisy upstairs neighbor, but you could have that issue at any apartment).
Apartment complex is great it’s been 6 month we moved here great maintenance but the leasing office staff are not responsive most of the time
Its quiet. I feel relaxed when i stepped in in my new apartment. I am excited to see the trees in the courtyard grow their leave in spring/summer
My experience for the most part has been great and peaceful it’s quite no one troubles you everyone is very polite they say hello good morning etc it’s always clean and smell very good
I can’t remember how many time I have contacted maintenance team and management team to fix the problem that I have reported almost 2 months ago. Now, the problem is still there. Every time I asked them for updates, there was always a new excuse. Maintenance sometimes came to check and then disappeared without any further update, sometimes they told me they will be back ‘tomorrow’ but never showed up ‘tomorrow’. Every time I contacted management team, they said they will follow up and get back to me, never received any call back from them. Now the management manager stop replying and neglected my email. The last time maintenance contractor came and told me they will be back ‘tomorrow’ to open the wall to fix the problem. Then no one call me or came to my home to fix it. It’s been ALMOST 2 MONTHS! I can’t fall asleep at midnight due to this horrible noise from the wall caused by pipes hitting the wall very fast and loud.
Great experience!!! Easy commute, pet friendly community, with lots of amenities. Safe neighborhood would definitely recommend Harbor Point.
Not at all good apartment . Trash rooms doors are always open , bad smells are always in hallways . Smoking smells always we smell in hallway . Now a days RATS are visible in parking and stairs. Not feeling safe here.
