Harbor Shores is a beautiful property with supportive management and office staff. Not far from shopping and grocery. Groundskeeping and maintenance are timely and effecient. Highly recommend these apartments if you’re looking for a home
Just moved here in March. Ready to move. Elevator has been broken for one month. Use to walk 50 feet to elevator, now it's 500 feet! I am disabled, so this is not any easy or pleasant task. There are no updates on fixing elevator. Went to leasing office to speak with manager, there is no manager! Two temp employees "managing" office. I am so frustrated and disappointed with this place.

The elevator we need has been out for over a month now. Added to that the stairwells we now use are filthy with bird crap and never cleaned. Construction noise has lessened but once a week the landscapers use leaf blowers way too early and for hours. Don't think we'll renew.

Why would you live here? Do you like hearing every single noise in the hallway? Do you like hearing constant construction? How about having fire alarms go off constantly for days at a time? Management that doesn't fix broken fire alarms or elevators for days or weeks? How about internet service, do you enjoy constantly losing service? If you said yes to any of this this is the place for you! The literally only nice thing I can say about this place is that the apartment itself looks nice. Until you hear all the noise around it. The lake behind is pretty. Not even close enough to justify wanting to live here. Do yourself a favor and don't rent from here.

I give it a 2 star rating because the apartment interior is nice and updated. Our reason to not renew was based on the horrible infestation of spiders. Although I saw them spray quarterly, I would inevitably walk thru a web of spiders almost daily. These range from harmless spiders to black widow and brown recluse. We swept our balcony weekly of the webs and in two days they are back. Also upon move in the pipes were not properly run for a long period of time which caused a sulfuric odor that lasted the first three days of move in. While having the luxury to stay with in-laws nearby during these first few days, the manager offered no resolution except to run the water for an hour to rid the smell along with her apology. For the price, these things should be priority for new and current residents. The other office staff Michelle however was pleasant anytime I worked with her.

The spiders are definitely a nuisance but are unfortunately more prevalent in Texas next to a lake and wooded tree area this time of the year. We have pest control out weekly treating our building interiors, as well as monthly treatments to the building exteriors. To further assist in controlling the spiders, we have implemented cleaning the exteriors of the building breezeways and carports weekly, as removing the egg sacs is really the best way to control the spiders. We don’t even want the sacs to hatch! We don’t like the spiders either. Their focus was on the interior breezeways and carports. The company that did the exterior cleaning and power washing was instructed not to power wash the Austin stone so as to not potentially damage the stone. Their focus was on the interior breezeways and carports.
