Property Ratings at Harbortown
We are a resident of Harbortown Apartments counting the days until our lease ends to move out. To be honest, I wish I could give our current experience of living here zero stars. While the apartments are somewhat tolerable, they are overpriced for what they offer. However, the real issue lies with the lease office staff, who have consistently exhibited disrespectful and inconsiderate behavior. I can confidently say that they are the worst individuals I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. My attempts to communicate with them have yielded zero response, regardless of whether it was over the phone, through email, or even in person at their office. It appears that they have no intention of providing any support or assistance to the residents. I had hoped that the change in management would bring about positive changes, but unfortunately, the same rude individuals continued to occupy the lease office. Moreover, the number of vacancies within the condominium is alarmingly high, which indicates that the lease office is failing to address the concerns of the residents. I fear that they will not take any necessary action until the situation reaches a critical point. This is truly disheartening, especially considering that the grounds of the complex are well-maintained. I believe in the possibility of creating a more pleasant living environment for all residents. Improving their behavior and responsiveness would greatly enhance the overall living experience for everyone here.
Staff is unfriendly, just rude I might add Bathroom is VERY outdated (for prices they charge) Stove has burners …. For the price their charging it’s ridiculous Bug problem
Property Manager at Harbortown, Responded To This Review
I'm sorry to hear that you've had a negative experience, and I assure you we take all feedback seriously. However, I was unable to find you in our system as a resident, so when you can, please get in touch with me directly so I can better address your concerns. Thank you, Penny - Property Manager - (407) 521-0521
Although we never moved here, the application process is flawed. They charge you a $220 admin fee, that they say is refundable if you don't sign the lease, it's not. You can't see any units to rent, you have to go off a video. Reg Flag! There are so many complaints about roaches that if you rent here, with all the complaints, I'm sure you will be regretting for the entire lease. I am thankful that things didn't work out, the negative reviews are written daily, and that many reviews can't be wrong.

Best, Penny - Property Manager - (407) 521-0521
DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. This place should be called roachville. Within a span of two hours (on my move in day), I killed over 20 cockroaches of various sizes. In addition, the apartment had moisture damage everywhere. The cabinets looked like they had been soaked in water and then left to dry in the sun. I had to consult with a lawyer to determine the best way to get out of the lease. Not to mention, the the lawyer fees and nights spent in hotels were at my expense. And one last thing, I also was informed that my AC unit was broken when I showed up to move in. *****Update: I am writing this review because the leasing office deleted their Google business listing following my review that showed pictures of the cockroaches. BEWARE.*****
I wouldn't recommend anyone to move here. There's no stable management due to them constantly changing employees out. Maintenance doesn't respond in a timely manner. My apartment was broken into and instead of them replacing the door they installed a metal covering. In addition, you pay $30 per month for trash pick up but the trash barely gets picked up and don't forget the excessive extra fees you'll be charged that aren't the same as other residents. This place is ridiculous I'm still waiting on them to fix a incorrect balance problem with my ledger that occurred a year ago and due to them switching property managers out every second the issue hasn't been handled. They expect me to pay my regular rent plus a month to month fee. LIKE IS THIS COMPANY CRAZY! Oh and I forgot there's absolutely nowhere to park you car and if you park it wrong, it will be towed.
One of the worst office service. We applied and without any communication we were declined. So I went to the office because they never answer the phone, and even I leave messages they never call me back, they don't reply e-mails etc. At the office, I found that the application was declined because the our income didn't meet their requirement. But since we were 100% sure that we have more than enough income and proof of that, I argued there. After some communications and showing bank statements which I submitted at the time of the application, they saw that we had enough income which is required. But since the office was closing the problem didn't solve. I had to visit a couple of times but the lady at the office doesn't have any interest of helping us, and worse than that, she doesn't even look at my eyes, and treats me like a trash. How the company hire this kind of person? They still haven't called me back, and the problem hasn't solved, but we completely lost our interest of moving here. I'm sure our application will be accepted at the end but we've already decided that we're not going to move here. We pay $75 per applicant, so we paid $150 as application fee, and they don't even look at the documents carefully and keep asking for the same documents. And I have to explain directly for them to understand. We're paying for what? Absolutely incompetent and I'm very frustrated and regret that I've applied.
Professional and attentive, Cristian assisted us in small repairs that we requested, quickly and effectively. The desire to do things right from the beginning is perceived. ????????
We have lived at Harbortown for a few years and plan to stay for as long as we possibly can. We love our townhouse and it is home to us, not just an apartment. We have the best building on the property because everyone who lives in this building are good friends and we have all become like family. We have cookouts together and even celebrate certain holidays together. We love the neighborly community we have here at Harbortown and hope to be here for many many years to come! The staff of Harbortown are amazing and theyre so respectful to the tenants. Watching the improvements going on throughout the property has been so exciting! I take great pride in being a member of the Harbortown Community!
Don’t count on finding any parking past 11pm. Imagine getting home from work just to realize you have to park on the other side of the community and walk 6 min back home. This is far from luxury. I leave at the end of may and honestly can’t wait.
Do not come here. Management does not respond to requests or services until weeks, months after you schedule. Even at that they tend to forget you spoke with them and you will not get any service. It takes weeks for front office to get back to you. If you were ever in an emergency, good luck, even the courtesy officer doesnt answer when you need them. They over bill you and say they will take care of it, but they wont and they will just keep billing you. This complex is also roach invested and Harbortown will bill you $13 every month for pest control but wont do anything about the roaches in your apartment. They also have limited parking and will put visitors parking above residents. Meaning, if theres only one parking spot in the whole complex and it happens to be a visitor, a resident who pays to be here cannot park there and they must park somewhere else outside of the whole apartment complex. Harbortown puts free visitors before their paying residents. Ridiculous. Save yourself the headache and dont come here.
Great community, beautiful complex and good staff.
Harbowtown was taken over by new management and we were open to whats new. However there has not been any improvement instead the biggest downfall is no communication or response when you call the phones or send emails. The trash service that we are paying for is horrible . The trash is not being picked up yet we are still being charged . Fees are being charged and no one is responding to answer what they are . Tenants are moving out every week even breaking their leases
The maintenance team is so friendly and dedicated to helping tenants. Manuel is incredibly skilled and has done great work for us.
I really like Harbortown apartments! The apartment is beautiful and the amenities. My only main concern is there is not enough parking spaces and they expect you to park your car all the way on the other side of the apartment which is infuriating because if you park your car in a non-parking spaces the car will be towed. Cars parking on the curbs should be towed. Community gate is not working most of the time.
Pedro came in to fix our sing disposal. He was prompt polite and professional and gave us good advice on how to keep it working better in the future. The maintenance staff here is awesome
This new management is awesome! I have been living here for several months and must say I absolutely enjoy it. The Office personnel and hardworking maintenance crew are all a pleasure to deal with. They are respectful, caring and each knowledgeable in their specific area. Of course, nothing is ever perfect, but this new group is working hard to correct any/all imperfections in order to make all of our stay even more pleasurable. And I intend to stay here for a very long time. Pauli C.
Harbortown is a very nice community. A hidden gem with comparable prices.
We were so excited to move here because it looked so nice and we were coming from a small town elsewhere in FL. Boy, what a slap in the face. A short list of things I hate about this place: - The management. Rude, uninformed, couldn't care less about actually helping residents. - Maintenance takes forever. My AC was out for 11 days in July - August 2019. We had to stay in a hotel and kept getting told by the poor leasing agents (who didn't know any better) that it would be fixed that day or the next day. - Dirty breezeways, trash left by the compacter, broken glass, trash, pet waste left around property. I love dog friendly complexes because I have a pup of my own, but the courtesy bag & trash areas are almost always empty of bags and full of trash. - Parking is an absolute nightmare. It's nearly impossible to get a visitor spot, and now even as a resident, when I come home from work (usually around 11pm), I have to park on the other side of the complex and walk to my apartment. Numerous problems with people parking on curbs, including yellow curbs, and causing traffic issues and blocking areas where emergency vehicles need to get in/out. If you complain about parking (or lack thereof), their response is to ask if you checked the back of the property and that there are always available spaces somewhere, even if it's not close to your apartment. - Communication is pretty much a lost art form to these people, our keys weren't even ready when we came to move in, our apartment was filthy on move in day, plus a whole slew of other problems we've had since living here. Now, there is one upside to this place, and that's location. It's super close to a bunch of grocery stores, highways, Universal, etc. Pretty centrally located so you can hop over to Ocoee, Winter Park, Disney, etc. all within 15 - 45 minutes. But there are plenty of other apartments in this area - I beg of you to seek out anywhere other than this living hell.
Filthy corridors,no parking spots at night lacking on maintenance, don’t move to this place
we are counting the months to move from here. has no administration. they never know anything, just the rent due date. we moved to this condominium because there is no carpet on the second floor, but I regretted it. the corridors are extremely dirty, the maintenance of the garden is terrible and the maintenance in general is chaos. today, for example, at this moment, the tooth temperature in my apartment is 90 degrees. i have a bulldog. I've already requested maintenance yesterday twice, I've been to the office twice and already called. it's no use. they can never do anything. the price of "luxury" apartment does not match reality. the gate is always open, so come and walk through this condominium and look carefully before deciding to move here.
I could not possibly give this place a lower review. Single worst living experience I've ever had, bar none. Lived here for almost 2 years and it was beyond ratchet. Do. Not. Ever. Lease. Here. This is legitimately a warning to please heed. This place is repugnant in every sense of the word. Rent, completely overpriced. Literally my experience warranted half of what I should have paid. They are managed by JRK Property Management who truly could care less and did not respond to my calls and emails. Rent goes up each year like clockwork and it'll never be worth it. Management, filled with turnover. No one stays and they people who do don't care enough to help you. It's not safe; the gate is constantly broke and I would know, my apartment was broken into. People break their lease for this place every single month. You wont ever be able to find parking because people don't care. I was literally towed in my own complex 3 times and billed each time. I'm going to repeat this for emphasize-MY CAR, REGISTERED TO BE THERE, WAS TOWED IN MY OWN COMPLEX. IMAGINE MISSING WORK BECAUSE YOUR APARTMENT COMPLEX TOWS YOU CAR MY MISTAKE AND DOES NOTHING TO RECTIFY THE SITUATION. I had my security deposit taken when I left, despite the fact that I cleaned my apartment, just like the 100% of other residents I surveyed. Further, they sent in an additional bill to collections over cleanliness. They literally sent a bill to collections, rather than to me directly, to try to get additional money from me. I guess that's the JRK way? Again, to recap: MY APT WAS BROKEN INTO, MY CAR WAS TOWED AS A RESIDENT, MY RENT WENT UP EACH YEAR, THEIR CLEANING RULES UPON LEAVING WILL 100% RESULT IN YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT BEING TAKEN AND IF THEY SEND IN A BILL TO COLLECTIONS IF THEY ARE SO INCLINED. THEY DONT CARE ENOUGH TO CHANGE THEIR RULES BECAUSE JRK DOES NOT CARE. I dont ever leave reviews for things, but I am in this case because of just how remarkably and consistently bad this place is. Harbortown is run by people who are careless at best and you won't feel valued or safe in your own apartment. Oh and I hope you don't mind unauthorized dogs pooping everywhere and not being cleaned up. Do not lease here. Do not live here. Go live literally anywhere else. You have been warned. Save yourself.
If I could rate negative stars, I would. We should have run when we saw red flags day one! We got the keys to move in, and the place had not been cleaned from the previous tenants! We immediately started having problems with our air conditioner leaking. We put in several work orders and they were often shrugged off as nothing. This resulted in a late night call to the emergency team when the tray completely over filled, dumping more than a gallon of water all over the carpeting! They finally came to look at it a couple days later, and when we brought up the concern for mold with the carpet they said "just keep the air conditioning running, it will be fine". Between this, and noisy neighbors and no help from the courtesy cop we were pretty fed up. But wait, there’s more! Right before Hurricane Dorian hit in September, the ceiling over the stairwell outside our apartment collapsed. I might be able to forgive a couple days for them to deal with this because of the hurricane, but no one EVER came to sweep and they just picked up the large chunks of debris. It then took THREE WEEKS of us smelling wood rot and living with a collapsed ceiling before they finally sent someone to "fix it". It looked like a pretty shotty patch job, and the person left trash and paint foot prints all over. They then left the trash outside our apartment for over a week. We sent 3 emails to the office telling them they needed to pick it up or tell their trash team to pick it up even though it wasn't in the bin. They told us "they just had to let go of a maintenance engineer and were short staffed". It's now December and there are very clear signs of water damage in the same spot, and I won't be surprised if the ceiling collapses in again! Not to mention the constant problems with raccoons going through our trash bins and leaving trash everywhere. This is the only property I've ever heard of that says the tenants are responsible for cleaning the hallways between apartments! Sure, if I make a mess, I should clean it up, but if you can't deal with your raccoon issue, and they are constantly leaving trash around, or the other miscellaneous reasons trash or dirt might be in the hallways, that is absolutely not my responsibility. It's hard to believe this place is part of MetroWest and part of an HOA, because it is hardly comfortable living conditions! We can't afford to break our lease, so we absolutely CAN NOT WAIT to move out!
Under no circumstance should you get an apartment here. They send towing in and take vehicles when there is 0 visitor parking available. When asking them about it they tell you there is visitor parking clear on the other side of the complex. On top of that the walls and cieling are so thin that if you have someone living anove you you will hear stomping all the time..
3 months ago, Management was offering a chance at at $100 gift card if you would go online and give them a 5 star rating. Enough said right there. Rent renewal went up $160. Be prepared for that! You are charged an HOA fee of $30 a month, and trash is $30 a month, even though you don't own the place. This is a surprise on your water bill! YAY! Be prepared for that. Carpet is dirty upon move in, and they won't clean it, but you are charged upon move out because it is dirty! Most of the time, nobody is available on the weekends to help, they live offsite and cannot make it back for issues such as garage doors not opening (with your car inside), or toddlers accidently locked in their apartment. These are not considered emergencies. Pool gets closed down a lot. When it's open... questionable tenants are there drinking beer, using foul language. Not good if you have kids. Dog poop everywhere!! Stray cats are an issue too. Grounds maintenance is only done around the front of the complex (for show of course). If you are in the back areas, you are skipped over for yearly services, such as bush trimming, patio and building power washing, etc. Not worth the price of rent. More of a headache.
I just wanted to say that I love my apartment community! and I wanted to wish Harbortown a Happy New Year! Can't wait to spend another beautiful year here.
My fiancé and I went here to tour the community after speaking to a leasing agent on the phone. Firstly, I had to call 4 different days and left messages each time with no phone calls returned, before someone finally picked up the phone. Upon arriving, the community looked beautiful but several office staff walked right past us,as we were standing outside the office, without saying a word to us. Once we were finally aknowleged the woman proceeded to tell us that she had no apartments to show us, even thought I spoke to an agent on the phone and let them know that we would be coming to tour that unit. It’s very disappointing that such a beautiful community would have such horrible customer service.
Living here has been a delight! Can’t wait for the club house renovations. My kitchen is awesome real granite not the cheap stuff I like it
Amazing experience and felt like home the minute we walked in. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who loves being close to the fun things in Orlando. The new asphalt looks amazing and really adds a high end touch on the property.
Rats and Roaches! Huge Cochroaches! It's a very dirty place to live and I cannot wait to move out. Not to mention, they tried raising the rent over $100. Everyone from my building moved out already. I think I'm the last one left. Also, the walls are very thin. There were many sleepless nights.
Lease Beware We leased from May 2017 to May 2018 1. Kitchen Cabinets that were new, took two months to get drawers corrected 2. Was promised bathroom cabinets would be fixed, never happened 3. Front Gate is broke all the time with no security 4. Hot Tub Jets did not work the whole year, just hot water 5. Good place for Pot Smokers if you are in to that 6. Pizza signs stuck in ground everywhere in the front entrance 7. Ice Cream Truck always riding around with loud music 8. They try to charge for everything when you leave 9. They put a collection agency on you two weeks after you leave if you don't pay 10. We had the new carpet cleaned anyway and they said it needed be cleaned by their carpet cleaner and trying to charge for a patch also, inside job 11. If you decide to live here, be ready to contact better business bureau or consumer affairs like I did when you leave
Moving to Harbortown was the best decision I made! The office just got a whole new staff they are friendly, polite and know what they are talking about. I am always greeted on a first names basis when they see me out on property or when I come into the office. They even went out of there way to help me out. Maintenance is always on top of the work orders and any issues I have had, have been minimal and always addressed in a timely manner. The amenities, lake and golf course are peaceful and I can already tell you I will definitely be re-signing my lease here at Harbortown for another year! Don't let other peoples negatives reviews affect your decision.
This is most definitely the worst place I’ve ever lived. The office is the worst, never responds, loses rent checks and won’t fix anything. I would live anywhere else but here again. Choose wisely.
WORST PLACE EVER! Horrible quality, customer service, noisy, and dirty. I recently just moved in and realized how important to read these reviews. However, no one ever mention very HUGE COCKROACHES! The day of move-in, I waited over 3 hours to do a walk-through of the apartment and get moved in. I was told that maintenance "lost" the keys (still no working mailbox key) to the apt and the office misplaced my file. lease consultant Brandon even had a disgusted look on his face as he pulled some brown stuff from my sink disposal. The place was still dirty, dirt all under the kitchen island and refrigerator, holes in the wall that they tried to cover up, holes in the bath tub, paint on the windows and floor, permanent brown stains on the marble countertop, missing kitchen drawer, stains in the bathroom cabinets, grease stains on the kitchen cabinets, sticky floors, dog urine on the balcony and in the storage room, and etc. I can keep going but this review will be longer than intended. Given the fact I had to start a new job soon, I decided not to have a standoff with the office to demand a change of apartment. I decided to clean up the place by bleaching down EVERYTHING. I thought that I would become comfortable but that's not the case. On top of that, I had to put in atleast 10 requests for maintenance since I moved in a few weeks ago. Next, the walls are very thin. The people who live above me cannot go to the bathroom or wash a load of clothes without me hearing it. I hear every footstep that they take upstairs. Apparently, they like to wash clothes at 4am. Unfortunately, there are 5 children and a pet that stay above us. There are constant thumps from 6pm- 7am, even around 3am on the weekdays. My daughter cannot even sleep in her room without being frightened so she has been sleeping with me ever since. I tried knocking on their door to let them know this but they refuse to come to the door. But TODAY was the last straw. I witnessed a HUGE COCKROACH almost the size of a mouse crawl from the kitchen, dining room, living room, and into my daughter room within seconds. If there was pesticides down then that roach would've been dead by the time it hit the dining room. I am completely freaked out and will be putting my notice to vacate today. Lastly, the gate is broken everyday and dog poop is everywhere.
You will regret it once you sign a lease...the whole complex is a dump...take a walk in the buildings and you will see how stained and filthy are the floors and the walls, they don't pressure wash nor use blowers to get rid of the tree leaves. The valet trash bins inside the buildings are filthy because whoever manages this place is filthy and cheap!!!! I'm looking for ways to break the lease legally and sue them for misleading us when we signed the lease. I have a lot of pictures to prove everything I mentioned. Last but not least, they want to charge me a convenience fee of $43.33 on their app to pay the water bill which was $58.20. BY THE WAY, THE BILL IS NOT OVERDUE!!
First, the kitchen cabinets would not be ready, then the appliances neither. They did not deliver the apartment on time and I could not move. These people do not care about their time or your money. Do yourself a favor and do not do business with them. They have not returned my money yet.
The frustration of living here does not even make it close to being worth it. They , JRK, the managing company will jump at every possible chance to take your money, so whatever deal you think you are getting comes out to be way worse in the long run. Continue your search elsewhere.
Lack of communication from office staff- each of them will tell you different information. Be very careful when signing your lease and expect big move out costs. They are charging us 600$ to replace a carpet that was old when I moved in. Moved out 6 months later with no rips or stains and they want me to replace it, for a ridiculous up charge. They cannot provide me with where this fee comes from and I've been waiting for 3 weeks for a phone call or email response. Worst leasing experience me and my husband have ever had and I highly recommend leasing with a different property in the area.
When we moved in, the carpets were not done properly! Thankfully we had a place to stay still that night. It took them 2 months to credit us back that day's rent. The girls in the office were mostly useless, because we never actually did a move-in walk through of our apartment, BIG MISTAKE! We had to go back to the office and argue with them how this scratch was here and that dent was there. In the first month or so we have a water line burst in our kitchen and flood the entryway area, took maintenance almost 15 minutes to get there after calling the emergency number. The biggest problem we had is moving out a year later. We told them that we have been paying rent via Auto-pay, they said it was no problem and the last month will be prorated (as it was suppose to be). THEY LIED! We were charged a full month's rent even though we moved out on the 17th. They said we'd get the balance back about 2 weeks after we move out. But they charged us $150 for carpet cleaning, which is crap because we steam cleaned the apartment the day we moved out. It was a nice apartment, poor management.
First off let me start at my saying my 1st phone call to the leasing office was not a good first impression, I was told there were units available for me to see and I needed to come by the leasing office, they would not schedule an appointment or give me any more details other then to just come in. I confirmed with them on a Friday that they did have townhouses available. Monday morning comes around and I drove from Miami to the leasing office to see the units. as we pulled into the community the first thing I noticed was the mountain of trash that was overflowing from the trash area, seems it has not been collected in weeks, major health hazard. Walking into the office was nothing special I was greeted unwelcomey. I told them I called them about the townhouses available and was told they are not ready or available to show. I proceed to tell them I was told on Friday to come Monday so I can see them. The girl called me a lair. I walked out in shock, with out her even trying to give me a time or set something up for me to see other units and tell me about the community. Do not waste your time with this place, there are plenty of others in the area who will give you the time of day, and mislead you to their trashed filled, poor managed community.
I haven't even moved in yet, and I regret signing on here. My move in date or unit was changed 3 times prior to my signing the lease, and then when I finally signed all the paperwork to get my keys and start moving my unit wasn't ready. Not what I consider a luxary experience so far.
The staff is awful Whenit was time to renew my lease I was told that I am to log into the online portal to sign it. When I finished signing the lease online it instructed me that my lease had been completed and it removed the lease altogether. Fast forward a few days when I logged back into the portal to pay my water bill, the bill had more than quadrupled. I called to find out why and was told that it was because my rent went to month to month because I didn't sign the lease. I explained to them that I had signed the lease and their response was that my husband hasn't signed it as of yet. I explained to the representative (Brittany) that the site doesn't allow for my husband to sign and asked "if the lease wasn't completed, why did the site say it was and why didn't it allow me or instruct me to have my husband to sign it?" Her response: "I don't know why our site does that but I can definitely bring it to my manager’s (Kelly) attention. I advised her that I would like that and for them to give me a call back because I shouldn't have to pay anything extra being that I didn't do anything wrong and that it was an oversight on their company's part because their site isn't set up to have two people sign! Well Brittany called me back and advised that per Kelly I would have to pay the additional monies even though their site was faulty. I asked why if it wasn't my fault (my rent or water bill has NEVER been late, I am NOT a problem tenant) and she couldn't answer that, her exact words were "I don't know." I then asked if there was someone who did know or more specifically if I could speak with Kelly so that she could explain it to me and help me to understand and make some sense of the situation and was then told "she'll have to call you back!" The apartments are nice but the management and staff have a long way to go. I love the location but due to the treatment of the staff and management, I despise the way we are treated as tenants. They are very unprofessional and no one ever tries to help or rectify situations that arise. Everyone wants to pass it off to someone else. I would love to have a problem, take it to them and they make it right…just ONE time! This is ridiculous and very annoying.
This is the worst place I have ever lived and it all started from day 1. I wish I had read the reviews on other sites because everyone is begging you not to live there. The management and staff is rude and scam artists, the hot tub has never worked, the gates we pay monthly for work 50% of the time (max), we didn't have power for 3 days and we could barely get them to care or fix it.
I have lived here since the beginning of the year. I absolutely wish I would have saved my money and chose somewhere else to move. Some of the staff in the office are nice. But others seems like they have an attitude as if you are bothering them by asking a question. Don't bother calling the office for anything. They don't answer the phone or call you back if you leave a message. You might as well walk up to the office and deal with the attitudes in person to hopefully get your questions answered. Maintenance is a JOKE!! All you see them doing is riding around in the golf cart all day. If you have a request you might as well fix it yourself. They will close out tickets saying the job was successfully completed when it wasn't even touched. I have had something wrong with my apartment since the day I moved in that still has yet to be fixed. There was also a rusted vent in my bathroom. I asked for it to be replaced. Nope the maintenace guy just came by and threw a coat of paint on it. Like really?!? Dont bother asking for pest control either. I have had critter problem for months ( spiders, ants, beetles, nats, flies, and an occasional roach if the trash doesn't get picked up ) I have asked numerous times and no one has been by to spray my apartment. Parking for me personally is fine because I get home around 3:30pm. But when I'm leaving out at 5:00am I see people parked on the curbs or in fire lanes just because there isn't enough parking in certain parts of the grounds. It's ridiculous. I can say that I was lucky to get an "updated" apartment. Yes the stainless steel appliances are so called "new" but you can definitely tell they are from one of those scratch and dent places, so they can get a discount. My dishwasher doesn't even dry my dishes. They only thing "luxury" would be the so called upgraded kitchen. Other than that they place is dated and it's obvious. PLEASE SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AND FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO LIVE. YOU DONT WANT TO LIVE HERE!! When my lease is over in Jan I'm DONE. THIS PLACE IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY FOR WHAT YOU GET. I wish I would have listened to the reviews I read. But have them the benefit of the doubt because I loved the quiet location. PLEASE READ OUR REVIEWS. THEY ARE 100% TRUE!!
If you are looking for an apartment that's affordable in Metrowest then Harbortown is a good choice. All apartments have their issues but this has been the most affordable as far as apartments in the area. Sometimes takes awhile to get maintenance issues taken care off.
The inside of the apartment is great, and it's a nice size. The management doesn't do a perfect job, though, but the location is nice. It takes 10 minutes to get to Universal Orlando, 20 minutes to SeaWorld Orlando, and 30-40 mnutes to get to Disney World. There are many shopping centers within 5 minutes, which is useful. Also, it is not noisy at all.
1 year ago I signed my lease and I'm about to sign onto another year. I actually feel like I truly belong here!! The staff are all very friendly and always make me feel like I belong.
I am a single mom with three girls and we toured and chose gates of Harbortown. On the tour everyone was great and even through the lease signing everything was fine and the office staff was nice. Our moving day was about 10 days ago and from the moment we got here the problems started. Move in time was 2:00pm on. The moving trucks came at 2:45pm and when I went into the office they told me they did not have the keys to our apartment because the carpet people took them with them. There was a few people moving in that day that were left sitting there waiting with no keys. We did not get our keys for over an hour during which I was being charged $367.00 per hour by the moving company who couldn't do anything but sit in their trucks. Upon moving in the renovated kitchen was left unfinished as the drawers doesn't have fronts and there are sharp nails sticking out of them. The new dishwasher and the washing machine do not work and I have begged for 10 days for someone to come fix them. The manager promised to make it right and was supposed to have someone here three days ago but no one came supposedly because one of the maintenance people quit. I didn't find that out until I went into the office to find out what was going on. Then I was told I was on the list for the next day but again nothing. When I called the girl at the office said she would put in an emergency call to maintenance to have someone come that night. That was Friday, two days ago and no one has come. Tomorrow will be the tenth day I have not had working appliances. Do not move here it is the worst place I have ever lived.
Three years ago my loving aunt took me in when my own parents disowned me. Now she is in need. I'm working fulltime and looking for a second job to better help pay the rent for her and 5 others living with us. Our two bedroom apt. Is wonderful but cramped. Even tho there are five ppl. In all, love abounds. And that is all i can ask for. <3
