Established in 1800, the Charlestown Navy Yard was one of the original six yards formed to support the United States Navy and is one of the oldest shipbuilding facilities for the military branch. For 174 years, this location was home to skilled works, naval officers, sailors, and the U.S. Marines. Today, it attracts thousands of tourists and offers lavish apartments, condos, and townhomes with awe-inspiring waterfront views.
The heart of the neighborhood is Charlestown Naval Shipyard Park and is preserved as a historic site open year-round for visitors. Charlestown Navy Yard is also home to two historic ships: USS Constitution and USS Cassin Young. For even more history, visit the Boston National Historical Park.
Locals frequent Paul Revere Park for scenic city views, public art, a dog park, and playground. Sailing is very popular here and you can learn to drive the boat at one of the many sailing schools in the area.

Property Ratings at Harborview at the Navy Yard
Thoroughly enjoying my time here at the Harborview. Everyone is friendly and the grounds and staff are tremendous. Would highly recommend living here.
I just moved here. I'm not good at English, but I got a lot of help from the people here and they are very friendly. The house was also clean and tidy. I'm really looking forward to living here.
The staff are very kindly and friendly. The leasing office in particular was a great help. Even though I was not comfortable with English, the staff helped me a lot and I was able to move in.
HView has an amazing diversity of dynamic residents and efficient staff . From toddlers to seniors, busy professionals, families and dogs, everybody is friendly and respectful. Great Community I recommend to join.
This is a beautiful community and everyone has been very friendly! The grounds and building are very clean and it’s super safe! The finishes are very high end.
I’ve loved my time here, all 4 years have been amazing. My favorite part is the neighborhood and the fact water is right behind the building.
As a new resident I am very much enjoying my time at Harborview at the Navy Yard. Others tenants are very friendly and the noise level is very low considering how many units there are in the building. I am very happy with the choice to move here!
Great location on the harbor. Very quite and secure location. Convenient. Helpful staff. Just wish the gym was free for residence like most buildings these days.
The office staff has been great. Very responsive to any request. I also love having the concierge available to assist with packages and guest
Love the building so far!! Beautiful location and a very clean and beautiful space. Our view is spectacular from our unit and our neighbors are so friendly!
The grounds and amenities are exceptional. Everyone in the building from the leasing office to maintenance has been very friendly. The same goes for fellow residents!
Just moved in. Everyone has been incredibly helpful. The building is spotless and the move in process was seamless. Great location for commuting.
Friendly and helpful staff with a warm and welcoming environment!! What’s not to like.. from the views of the city at night to the amazing parks to do school work. It’s paradise!
Everyone at Harborview has been incredibly helpful in my transition. This is a great building and community and I couldn't be happier with my decision to live at Harborview.
Living in the harbor view was been delightful. Concierge goes above and beyond to help in any way possible. They make living here all the more better. The apartments are beautiful.
I’ve been here for 4 years and loving it so far!! My favorite part is the harbor walk and how friendly the staff and everyone is. Highly recommend!
Very friendly staff, clean building, great garage, access to the harborwalk, relatively reasonable rent, rooftop common area, nice gym, quiet neighborhood
We moved in today. Conceirge was amazing and helped out so much while moving in! Great community! Clean building, friendly neighbors. Can’t wait to be part of the community!!
Quiet, safe & comfortable with great service. Good open space views and very good location for local services. Easy access & secure parking garage.
Very organized move in process with most of it done online. Great location and amazing units made it an easy pic for me and my family. Love that there is a personal parking garage and all doors require keycard access. With concierge service and convenient guest access via video call at the front door it gives you and your family a safe and secure place to call home.
We are new to Charlestown and so far so good. The neighbors we have met are lovely and our apartment is very quiet. We especially liked Jonas.
I love it here!!! The building is gorgeous and having concierge is very helpful. Living on the water is just the best! The rooftop terrace gives an amazing view also!
Great community, very clean, excellent for children, beautiful neighborhood, perfect for walking both for elderly people and young couples with children.
Love living here . However, there are a couple of things that annoy me. #1. The Dryers never dry completely. Too much fuss with them to get clothes dry every time. I know about the unit on the 5th floor but I shouldn’t have to carry a load of clothes up to that floor. It is used by other people also and means waiting. #2. The P1 storage is very dirty. I don’t think the floor has been swept in the approximate 5 years we ve been here. On the whole, it’s a great place to live and convenient to a lot..
We love it here so far. Everyone is friendly, staff is helpful, clean building and units. I'm really happy we chose to live here and I hope to stay a long time.
The primary reason for my five star review is the excellence of the concierges. The full-time weekday professionals—Kevin and Jonas—stand out in particular. Attentive, warm, and professional they have become a part of our young family. We recently re-signed our lease in large part because of how reliable and kind they are. They solve problems for all residents, get to know us personally, and really care. The weekend staff is lovely, too. In addition, we have had wonderful experiences with Flory, who cleans, and the maintenance experts Angelo and Justin. So grateful for the high levels of service we have had from these excellent folks.
Everyone has been very kind in the building from the sales associates to other residents. The apartments are very nice with lots of storage space and closets. I’m looking forward to my time at Harborview.
The Place To Be. The best place to live in. Very comfortable. Very convenient. Very nice. Staff very helpful. Management very supportive. Maintenance team are the best. I love this place. I love my life there.
The apartment is situated in a prime location, offering a picturesque view that instantly captivates the eye. Whether it's the city skyline, or a tranquil waterfront, the view from this apartment is undoubtedly one of its most alluring features.
I have lived here for 10 years. The location and views are amazing. This used to be a community but continuous extreme rent hikes and poor management changed that…
The neighborhood is very welcoming. I enjoy the local activities along with the amazing views. Just a great place to spend your time. Good weather or bad.
We have a beautiful apartment overlooking Boston Harbor and downtown Boston. The maintenance and community housekeeping services are excellent. The common areas were recently redecorated..
Beautiful setting love taking a walk along the harbor and watching all the activity happening on the harbor, taking the ferry downtown and living on the Harbor in Charlestown
Very quiet and well managed community. We moved in August and we have been very happy with the place. The neighborhood is very beautiful and peaceful.
I have really enjoyed living at Harborview. The staff executed the hallway renovation so efficiently. It looks excellent and is a complete game changer for living here. The leasing office and maintenance teams are both super attentive. My problems are always addressed in a timely fashion.
Great staff! Good appliances, and fast turn around for maintenance requests! It did take a while for them to replace the door to lock the parking garage which was slightly concerning, but it is now fixed!
I used to love living in this building, but the management does not care about the residences or the experiences of who is living here. This is easily demonstrated in the number of long term residents who have moved out in the last two years, some who had been here close to a decade. The concierges are the best and are the only consistent piece of this building any longer. -Resident of five years.
So far my experience has been wonderful! Everyone has been so kind and welcoming. Looking forward to spending this next year at the Harbor View

I love living here, especially because it’s so quiet. I plan on living here for another year, I have no complains. Sometimes the alarm goes off prematurely but they figure it out

Lincoln Property group attempted to take complete advantage of us in 2022 at lease renewal time with a 52% increase in rent from the year prior, which was absolutely outrageous and outright laughable. Outside of their poor property management skills, lack of respect for their tenants, and overall pompous attitude, you cannot beat the Navy Yard. Perfect area for couples, younger families, and anyone else! Jonas and Kevin are great behind the front desk and do everything they can to help out. Wish the coffee machine in the Main Lobby was still around :( what happened!

Living wise, we can't recommend this place more. Location is great, management is great! Apartment is great! Budget wise, it's pretty expensive. We absolutely love it and feel lucky we can afford it but I have to say I don't know if we will stay if rent goes higher. It's also very pet friendly which I personally love having a pet myself, but not everyone is responsible and does not clean up after their pets. Lots of poop/pee around the building sidewalks (and sometimes in the elevator/hallways) which comes with the territory of a pet friendly building. I'd want to let someone know that before moving in.
Over the last couple of years with rental rates as high as they are- the property has not kept up with the updating-- Walls are patched with Paint and show a complete dis-coloration from balance of wall. although service response is fantastic-- updating items in apaertments do not sem to be a priority.
